  • Congratulations Sri Lanka!

Yay for England, just when I was thinking there was no hope, much appreciated, :)

  • Congratulations India!

India scored 314 for 9 in 50 overs
Bangladesh were all out for 286 in their 48th over

That's a secure place in the semi finals for:

    Team India

Just 5 games left in this round, 1 for each team,
so there are just 2 more possible points to be won.
Australia & India are safe, but who will get those last 2 places in the next round!

  • Congratulations England!

England scored 305 for 8 in 50 overs
New Zealand only managed 186 before being all out in 45 overs

New Zealand are now at risk, if Pakistan have a good win against Bangladesh,
but it is a great comeback & safely into the top 4 for:

    Team England

  • Congratulations Pakistan!

Pakistan scored 315 for 9 in their 50 overs
Bangladesh were all out for 221 in 44.1 overs

The win puts Pakistan equal to NZ on points,
but was not a big enough win to beat their Run Rate,
So it is 5th place for:

    Team Pakistan

    AjneszporPlayer (AU1)
Jimmy Johns ll (US1) Maggiltilda (NL1)
    Nelie (NL1)
    sirali (US1)
    Xcution (INT1)
    Τζινι (GR1)

So we have our 4 top teams!
Just 2 games left tomorrow, which will decide if Australia or India are #1
& who plays who in the semi-finals

History goes against England. So far they are 3-times runners up, never champion. Australia won the championship highest number of times.
But England this time is a formidable team, playing well. At their home soil too. So they have a good chance.

    All the best England.
But I somehow carry a soft spot for New Zealand. My bet is still New Zealand.

You don't place a bet. new each time a game is played for this contest.  When it first started we stated what team we were for, and that was final once voting ended.  So, who did you vote for the first time?   That's who you get to be in a drawing for if the team you voted for wins.  Unless, that is you just want to have fun with voting to see how it goes.  :)

Edit:  I see at the top you voted for Team India.

  • Summer (SKN1)Summer (SKN1) SKN1 Posts: 840
Yes, I voted for India to win  And stand by it.

hmm are there two sets of voting now? One for the finals (goldwinner) and another where we vote pr match?

  • SuzyQ22 (US1)SuzyQ22 (US1) US1 Posts: 1,464
I don't think so, I think once it is all done the final team that wins and those who voted for them get into a drawing for the gold and other prizes.  So, even if the team you voted for wins, you still have to be lucky enough to win the drawing.  I am not positive there is nothing for participating but I do remember I did not win the drawing last year.
