Village Fair Filters

What is the purpose of having these options if they don't work?  Please note below that orchards and processed goods have been de-selected, but are still showing up.

I sent in a Supoort ticket  when the last Villsge Fair run to say the filters don't work

I received the auto acknowlegement but no further reply

They know but don't care is my interpretation of this

I can't believe I didn't even notice that the filter boxes were there this last time - is that screen shot from the most recent VF?

Anyway - towards your question - I will hazard a guess here.  I have never seen a challenge with only two types of products, and I have spent hours paging through challenges every time this event runs. So, I suspect that since there are no challenges that match the filter you set, the system returns all the challenges.

The test for this would be to select three types, omitting one type and see if you get a list of challenges that fit that criteria.  Seems logical to me that the filter actually only allows you to exclude one type of product.

That being said, I do recall that I had trouble with the filter when I tried to use it in one of the previous runs of the event (not this last one after the revamp; this time I actually forgot it was ever part of the search interface).

I also tried de-selecting orchards w/ the most recent VF and it still gave me orchards.  Once you use up what the coop has, it would be nice to go on to something else that you HAVE in stock.

Occurred to me that the filter might also be the reverse of my previous comment - It only function if you  chose only one type of product, then returning a list that excludes all the challenges that do not have that type.

This will bear some further testing in a couple weeks when the event runs again.
