About Horse Tournement

I really like to know how exactly the horse tournement works because since my horse is level 60 I cant go higher than the Platinum League IV and hardly higher than the Platinum League V.
I found nothing anywhere who explain how it's work. Still a mystery and I think it's a mystery for all players.
How come I cant go higher than Platinum League since 45 levels? Yes, my horse is now level 105 and I cant see the day I will go higher than the Platinum League IV.
What to do to go Gold League?
Any explanations anywhere I can find? Found nothing.

Is there a bug or something in it? My horse is second quality breeding and is specialized in only one breeding effects that are +24, +14, +13 +13,  nothing wrong with it, all good. I should go higher than that!
I meant Diamond League not Gold, sorry.
But beside to reach the Diamond League, how come I cant go higher than Platinum IV???

Gold League is below Platinum, so if you've reached Platinum, you've already surpassed the Gold League.  Did you mean Diamond League?

Of coarse, yes, sorry my bad. I mean Diamond League. :)

Yes, well, I honestly don't know. I have to fight very hard to stay in the Platinum League before the tourney is over, and my horse is 114. I did notice it's taking me longer to move up than previously the last few tournaments, and I race my horse constantly, buying the extra gas, etc.

I think the first time I reached the Diamond league was when my horse was around level 125 (could be a bit higher), it's 135 now and reaches the diamond league every time.  I think it's determined by level how high you can go, providing you enter your horse as much as possible of course. I only discovered the extra gas you can buy a few months ago, that helps in being able to race more often.

Good to know, grrr. There is hope for me, yet! :)

It's all down to how many horses there are on your server that are better than yours. Once you're in Platinum you lose as many points for a loss as you win for a victory.

I don't think that has got anything to do with it, the challenges are usually from horses in the same level bracket, some 10-20 levels higher than yours, some the same but lower level. (yes of course, the higher your horse the less horses with a higher level there are).
You get to Diamond when you reach a certain number of points, it doesn't matter how many other people reach that too.

I don't really play horses. It's not my thing.

You get to Diamond by first getting to Platinum 1 and then winning 50 races whilst in Platinum 1.
Other than that, your statements are in agreement with me but the bit in brackets is the crucial bit.
Once in Platinum (where the points for winning and losing are the same) you need to be offered more horses that are worse than you than you are offered horses that are better than you otherwise you will remain stationary.

Uncle John is correct, it will have a lot to do with which server you are on, because the bigger servers have more players, which means more horses of high levels, more challenges against you & thereby more points lost by you, so that you need to get more wins to just stay standing still, let alone progress. As Grrr says, it is level 135 and higher that make it into Diamond on NL1, its lower on some other servers & may even he higher on some - Maybe someone from Diamond league on US1 will post to let you know what levels are making it in there.

I notice you also say your horse is specialised in one discipline, which is great when you are challenging others, as you get to choose that one, but if you just have that horse in all the challenges against you & they are selecting the other 2 disciplines, you may be getting more than the average rate of losses. Check your noticeboard to see where you are incurring most losses, if you want to keep your horse specialised, in time you will need at least one other horse that you can select to do the challenges in the other disciplines.

Then how come sometime I get challenges with levels 9-43-56 in Platinum League and loose? Remember my horse is level 105 and well trained...Bad luck?
And yes, I'd like to know which level you need to be to enter Diamond League on US1 server.
But still, how come I cant go higher than Platinum IV since my horse is level 60?
  • If you see a horse level 9 in platinum league, the chances are it is due to a display bug that exists, whereby that players main horse is actually much higher level than that & is in training or in the horse meadow & it puts a different horse up on the display, but you still actually compete against their correct high level horse - You may have noticed getting losses against what appears to be a ridiculously low level horse & that is usually why.

The other thing you can do, if your coop has a horse meadow high enough level for you to use, is boost your horse there with some extra effects.

Dint know that you can compete with a horse that is actually in horse meadow, good to know.

You cannot challenge with it, but it can be challenged, same as with regular training - Otherwise it would be possible to hide it so that people couldn't challenge you. :)
  • Just now, in Platinum League I had a compete with a level 35 and won. I know the explanations WascallyWabbit said about low levels in Platinum League but it still really weird to see a level 35 in Platinum League.

Are you sure that the horse was in platinum?
You are in platinum but that doesn't mean that all of your opponents are, you can see by the color of the player profile which league it is in.

Very possible. I have seen horses as low as 20 end up in Platinum League. Luck of the draw.

I have previously got to Diamond with my level 93 horse and then switched to using a level 12 horse since I didn't need to win any more races and to help other players get into the Diamond league. But the level doesn't actually matter that much anymore due to the cooperative horse meadow effects.

    Wow, I'm very unlucky then.

I think that it will depend on how strong the other horses in your server are. There are probably lots of horses that are like yours and that would be why you are struggling to get a higher amount of points. Breeding with the cooperative horse meadow is the fastest way to improve your horse's ability level. Also try to do as many races as possible in one go and save all of the fuel rewards for the end of the event.

    @CrazyArthur (US1) I have a Level 114 horse with +38 jump,+36 elegance,+27 speed, and 4th level breeding quality. Highest I ever get is Platinum L2. This is US1 server

One thing I have noticed. Once I get to Platinum, seems that I lose more often, no matter what the other horse level is. And when you look at the odds of winning after the race, mine is always SUPPOSED to be the winner, usually by 75% chance.

Seems pretty lop sided, when this happens CONSISTENTLY, 3-4 times in a row losing to horses that the ODDS say I should have won. Seems like the algorithm is different in Platinum.
  • please read wascally answer its not low lvl that you challenging its bug  that show low lvl horse

And in addition: some players, when they reach diamond league change their challenging horse to the weakest one they have. They do that because they are not competing for first places but are satisfied with entering diamond league. As you can not fall down into platinum any more, they have nothing to loose. So they change their horse to the weakest one, to enable other players to get better rewards. A nice gesture.
