We need Golden Week to be a monthly event.

Omar is here for Luck Coins, but we need Golden week to earn those.  Golden Week needs to run once a month, just like the Goldfish or Wedding Planner, etc.  Please add this to the schedule.  It simply counts what you produce on fields.  There is no downside.  It does not harm or impact any other event, in any way.

I have to disagree. I love, love, love Golden Week, but what makes it special is that it doesn't come around every month. We've already seen how the fun has been diluted from various events that now show up too often, and I for one would hate to see this happen to Golden Week.

True, it doesn't impact farming or other events, but those of us who like the event and want to do well will be drawn to it like moths to a flame and change our farming habits to maximize results. And when that happens it actually can have a negative effect on farming strategy for other events.

As for the coins, we can continue to collect them through purchases from the Lucky Coin trader until the next Golden Week arrives.

Sure we can skip it, but that carrot will dangle. :)

As u can understand the fun is totally diluted so what one event that doesn't bother anyone why not we have it like a regular one .
So what its fun will go as the time passes just like t he game

    Actually I agree with gavinfarms (US1) !

@ artful (US1) Tbh all events have a negative effect on farming strategy so I can´t really see a point in that argument.

    Cheers

It certainly does make a difference when you've got several events going on at once, each needing a different strategy.. Heaping another one on top of everything else just makes it all the more frustrating, and takes away a lot of the fun of the game, which is very thin on the ground at the moment. Events need to be "events." When they are available 'round the clock, they no longer are anything special.

Why play all the events that are dished out? And why not have Golden Week replace one or a couple of the others once a month?

I choose either to play an event to the fullest, light heartedly or ignore it. To me it is what I see I can manage that counts because bottom line..... I want to enjoy the game and my farms (!), not end up in a termoile ripping me apart. Which I found was a fact until I came to my senses and rethought the game and my abilities to meet the demands.

    Cheers

  • Yes, it would be great to see a golden week once a month - but the downside would be its another event to fit in and as it is there are too many.

I think the whole schedule needs a major rethink.

One co-op event per week would be plenty - two individual events per month would be enough (not counting the weekly events such as UFO's, Asia etc) and two others per month like the Wedding planner would be a whole load better for the majority of players and is still a heck of a lot to ask for anyone that has a full time job and plays BF for a bit of relaxation.

If the events were a bit less frequent, it'd make them more special, make them worth spending a bit of gold on as we'd have a bit of a wait for the next one - as it stand at the moment, well if we don't finish or put in too much effort - no bother we can do it all again in a few days time!

In my opinion, events which are tied to real world holidays should only be run during the time of that actual holiday.  I think it cheapens the event/holiday if it's run just any time, instead of only during the actual Golden Week.

Edit: I'm fine if they want to do a knockoff event, like how the mushroom hunt is a knockoff of Easter.  But I don't think just running the actual Golden Week event all the time is a good idea.

There you go, I had no idea that Golden week is tied to an actual holiday. Had to look it up and found this:

"What is Golden Week? In Japan, the Golden Week is a series of four national holidays that take place within one week at the end of April to the beginning of May each year. It is often considered a time of vacation for the Japanese people, and many people receive time off from their secular employment on these bank holidays."

I thought it was just a name GGS put on an event of theirs. Or is it in fact just that? A coincidence?

    Cheers

Was late last night so didn´t take time to search, but did it now.

I agree that events tied to real life occations/holidays should only run during the actual time of year. Although I would like to see Golden Week more often  had it not been tied to an actual holiday.
