    @WascallyWabbit
Is there any chance of getting this "unfixed"  ?
The process is plenty slow enough to prevent any "fiddles" that they were worried about and I (and many others) have some unique decos that are now unsuitable for the farms they were first placed on but would be well useful on one of the others.

What is the purpose of the fence and gate in the decoration valley? I think that they appear to have no practical use.

I think the deco valley is useful if you want decorative farms, however, I thought the intent was that when things were put in there they were supposed to reset from whatever farm they came from to only being "dropbox," i.e. "main farm" to "dropbox" after 24 hours so I could move them around my different farms. My decos reset after the first 24 hours, but no longer after that? I've been trying to find a thread covering this issue, but no luck so far. Thanks.
Apparently, it was a glitch that allowed us to use the Deco Valley to move decos from farm to farm. Sadly, they "fixed" it. :(
That's too bad, because it would have been incredibly useful then and I think more people would have liked it. That's for letting me know, because I thought it was was actually in the email I got when it was rolled out. But I guess I understood it wrong, and unfortunately I deleted the email.

they do not they just used a regular farm layout when they made it so gate and fence are useless just easyer for them to do it that way then actually degine a new farm with out them

Thank you for the information. It is a bit disappointing that they couldn't find a practical use for upgrading the fence and gate since it costs farm dollars to upgrade.

According to one of the mods (sorry, forgot which one), they just copied the code from the Gourmet Farm. Unfortunately, quite a few spent money to upgrade the fence and gate before realizing the upgrades didn't do anything. I mean how hard can it be to code an expandable plot of land.

This a suggestion for a decoration valley improvement.

I decided to store some seasonal decos in my valley thinking I may move them back to their corresponding farm seasonally.  I found once they were all gathered that I had duplicates.  I decided, for example, to keep one small snowman from each farm and dismantle to duplicates.  When I tried to dismantle the decos, I was sent to the standard greta dismantle deco box.  In this box, it showed all of the snowmen in a group (as in 5x of that type of snowman).  When I dismantled one, it took a random snowman.  I was unable to choose whether to dismantle the main farm snowman or the flower farm snowman, etc.  Since these decos are tied to the farm from which they came, we should be able to choose which deco from which farm we would like to dismantle.  If you go to the deco directly and choose dismantle from the ring menu, you are also sent to the general box where they are all grouped together.

(Sorry if this issue has been discussed previously.  I did not take the time to read through the discussion.)

Have you tried the local storage box with in the Deco Valley ?? Place the deco you wish Greta to dismantle into the storage box & go into Greta have a look ;)

Thank you Data King for your suggestion.  There is a work around.  You put the deco back into the drop box.  Go to the farm from which it came originally.  From there you can open greta, find it in the local inventory list, and dismantle it.

Sweet glad you did find a work around for it. ;)
Would be nice not to have to leave the Deco Valley in order to select the deco you wish to have Greta dismantle for you.

Suggestion:  Give purpose for the deco valley having a slot at the right-side production-panel timer.

Greta GreenSmith has built a NEW machine/building that feeds off the happiness in the deco valley.
I'll list a few ideas about Greta's building:

    • Located in the deco valley--off to the side, similar to the academy, library, garage, etc.  (No workers required)
    • 'Greta's building' can be upgraded to increase its efficiency / unlock more items to be produced.
    • Every hour, 'Greta's building' generates X amount of a "new resource" which is determined by the total amount of happiness from decos displayed in the valley.  (Happiness per hour)
    • Now comes the production part:  the "new resource" can be combined with other ingredients / resources at 'Greta's building' to produce decor parts used for upgrading decos, or produce similar items made in the laboratory... or produce entirely new items!!!
    • I read somewhere that in a future update Greta will be able to upgrade VHP.  Maybe the new items produced in 'Greta's building' can be used in this process.

    Thanks for your consideration.  :)

Thanks for the Theme Park event!!! :#

I feel it would be nice if the deco valley could be used for whole farm happiness. By this I mean that any deco put into the valley would count as happiness for all farms and the village. This would free up space on all farms for more production items.
  • That would be great i think
