Should I delete my cat?

What possible benefit is it providing, besides taking up space?  The dog gives a gift.....the cat, no!

you can collect a little xp from it...  obviously the choice is yours to decide to keep or not.

Supposedly they will be adding more benefit to the cat in time to come....  I am keeping my 2 kitties

First, you CAN'T delete the cat.   If I'd have known I never would have put one on every farm.

And your right, they don't actually DO anything.  Except sink your farm happiness when the cat is hungry.
So first thing now, just one more thing to click has to be the dumb cat or happiness is tanked. 

Can't pet the thing, can't upgrade it or teach it anything, can't even change it's color.  It's a huge waste of space.
Took FOREVER just to collect enough hearts to get the dumb cat now all I want to do with it is make a pair of slippers. 

It had such potential too.  They could have introduced pests like mice and having a cat would keep it under control.   Maybe get more than one, raise fancy cats.  Take them to cat shows.  Ever play the sims with pets?
They do that.  Pet shows based on how much you trained.  

But here?   Eyesore.  Useless.  Waste of space. 
Anyone reading this.   DO NOT GET THE CAT!!!!!

@gavinfarms (US1)  You may want to wait before deleting your cat(s).  They've only developed the cat to Level 1.  It's likely that once they add more levels that they'll make it more worthwhile.

I deleted mine ages ago, complete non starter along with other dead parts of the game which should just be taken off then perhaps things might work better

OooOOOOOooohhhhh!   I never looked.  Well then.... hmmmm.  It took so darn long to collect hearts...
And there was talk of them doing something to upgrade the cat.  Wondering if that's still on the table and when?

(Or is it like the gold lock, tell us what we want to hear with no intention of ever actually doing it.)

Thanks though, only one farm (thankfully) I stuck one on the gourmet farm.  STILL waiting for the  hearts but when that day comes that cat is a gonner.

I love my farm cat.

Getting more farm happiness if needed ? ... not very difficult.
In dire need of 7000 extra XP per day ? .... not really.
Watching her walk, literally, over the dog with her tail in the air and that disdainful tilt to her head that tells him she hadn't even noticed him ? ... priceless !
