What a mess, again we are hooked for 10-12 hours on a challenge, which is impossible to complete.  WHY on earth can those challenges not only be startet be the leaders of a coop?

At least you know who started it. I don't think the challenges should be limited to leaders only, BUT I do think challenges started by anyone other than the leader should be limited to 30 min. That way, no one's sitting around if the leader isn't around, and it would avoid the problems you're having with long challenges.

We've asked everyone in our coop to keep them to an hour, preferably 30 minutes-- have no problems now that the starter is identified.  Hope you get it sorted.

I agree that it should not only be the leader ofcourse,  was just looking for the other word, staff maybe?
And yes, halv an hour challenges would be fine to, but this is the second time, that an impossible challenge for at least ten hours is started.
  • Other threads have probably already suggested this - but it seems the current 'Leader' and 'Deputy' system isn't enough - there really should be at least 5 people whom have greater control on when challenges are started and such.
Leader - of course can do everything.
Co-Leader - would be able to everything the Leader can, with the exception of removing the Leader from the coop.
Captains? Generals? Some other name? - This title would be for 3 very trusted coop members who can start challenges, village upgrades, and projects, but not be able to remove anyone from the coop.
Deputies - same as now, with the exception of only being able to start 30 minute to 1 hour challenges.

I have no problem with the leader/deputy part. But I do have a problem with any one starting any længht of challenge. 10 + hours is a long time.

We held classes to help teach all of our members what the Village Fair challenges were, how to find ones the co op could have a chance at completing. Explaining the stars & other symbols to be able to better select ones we can do. We try to encourage as many members that wish to take part to do so. Now we are getting to a better stage in the event due to the communication with in the co op.

We have also had this problem again, both times by very low level players.  I put out a message detailing who could start what challenges and then there was another 10 hour one started by a low level player.  I'm not sure that they understand English so I agree only leaders and deputies should start these challenges. You can always allocate more deputies if you're having trouble with who's online.

sorry no i would rather have a accidental 10 hour challenge then have to allocate more deputies and have one of those new allocated deputies decide to start boosters with all of the coop gold but i do agree that all members but deputy and leaders can only start a 4 hour challenge or less or make it 30min and if just 30min then get rid of the wait time for non deputy and leaders
