Unreachable Targets
UK server - levels 150 - 999.
I'm sitting at 24th with 2 mins to go and have 2425500 roughly. The winner has 6395792.
To get 49/50 hard worker reward - a gml you need 20,400,000.
Some of the players in the top 50 are levels 500 plus.
I know its been said many times before, but yet again, GGS are not listening.
Whats the point in entering these events if you cant get to the prizes because the targets are set too high. No matter how much gold someone purchased it wouldn't be enough to reach the 20,400,000 needed to get 1 gml - and thats not even the final hard worker reward!
The effect on a lot is demoralising at best - and it has a detrimental effect of GGS too.
Whats the point of buying gold when it won't help? I dont know who the 'business brain' is behind GGS, but I just cant understand their logic. If I were in charge I'd want a happy customer base as happy customers are likely to spend more - right? You wont get happy customers by setting the targets not just too high, but impossible to reach. Unhappy customers = less gold sales.
I'd love someone to explain the logic behind these targets.

Having said that, I would have to agree with you that some of them are well OTT.
I feel that gizmo has really hit the nail on the head, prizes need to be worth the effort involved, a "prize" of 2000 gold that costs 200,000 gold to achieve is not a prize at all. Nobody is going to prize it !!! GGS have recently produced several events that only high level players can complete but offer prizes that only newbs would find valuable. They need re-balancing.
this event is no longer for me, too rich for my blood! Will just plod along farming normally and if I get something from it, fine... if not, fine!
sorry it is no longer a fun event or even a real challenge as it does seem many events have changed for the worse this way and made the goals unattainable for most, even gold spenders...
IMHO, sadly.
I can't even imagine how much it must have cost you to get up to 31 bonus points per second.. It's all *I* can do to get 2 or 3 bonus points.
But completely agree with your philosophy. Doesn't make a lot of sense to ME to use tons of seaweed and thousands of gold just to win "6,000 gold" in GMLs. It cost you more than that to win them. IMO, the prize needs to be worth a LOT more than the investment in order to get me to compete for it.
And the fishing one is even worse. Again, I get what I get for starting it, then I don't let it effect my fishing one bit. Keeps life simple.
As for the calculations...
Lets just theorize the event is a full 5 days (not sure exact time)
65 points per second for the entire event...
I recommend making sure those are overflow points so that you can make up for the time it'll take to get the points that high...
lol
