Testing for bugs

Here's a thought - you used to have the test server - and probably still do somewhere - not being put to much use.

Ask for volunteers from the player base to test any new releases before 'go-live' on a try-out basis.  Volunteers try it, find the bugs, report them back, GGS fix them BEFORE releasing the new update to everyone else.

Rewards for the volunteers too - perhaps 20k gold/10 gml's/seaweed products or 24 hours reduced construction & production time (not all of those, just one, picked at random for each new test) for each new thing tested added to their in-game player accounts.  It has to be worthwhile to get players to volunteer.  10 bags of premium chicken feed isn't going to encourage anyone.

That might go someway to keeping everyone happy.  It gives GGS the chance to release 'un-bugged' updates, provides non-gold buyers a way of increasing their gold stash, and those that dont volunteer a chance to play without the current frustrations.

    It's a great idea! It takes a bit of setup and time, there are some technical considerations as well because the test server was an open server and we would need a closed one for this plan. It's something I'm trying to get in place and this idea (or at least a similar concept) has been floating around for a while. I can't promise anything but I can say it's in my mind and on my list, but timing is key here so I'll try to get this one included when things like this are a little easier to consider. It won't solve all the problems and there are some things that may not work out as you expect or imagine them to, but the idea is a good one! Thanks Murphy, appreciate your pep ;)
