Village Fair Challenge

Hi All, I am having a problem with coping a picture from Forum to my group. The problem is I can not paste into co op PM. We are trying to teach our group, what the challenge page looks like. The filters, and pages and where the time is. I use to be able to do it before we went to flash and I switched back but still can not do it. Can someone help me ?? Please and Thank You.

my understanding is you cannot right click and say paste... once you copy something go to where you want to paste and use ctrl+v. that should work...

JVD, Thank You, I just tried it, it is not working, I have a lap top, I don't know if that matters?

should not matter whether it is  a laptop or desktop computer...  Are you actually trying to copy a picture or a link to the picture? I don't think you can copy and paste a actual picture to the coop pm...

    Harvest times Tutorial

Do to the fact that there are so many cooperatives on the US1 server, the programmers split them up on pages with-in pages.

To cycle threw the co-ops on the page you have selected you will have to use the arrows, marked A in the image above.

If you aren't happy with the selections listed simply click on the Page button, marked B in the image above. This will open the Page selection pop-up shown on the right marked B.

You will also be able to filter your list of selections when you click on the Filter button, marked C in the image above. This will open the Filter pop-up shown on the right marked C.

Using top challenge on the list for an example:

Just because this challenge is named Brat Pack that doesn't mean you'll be competing
against them necessarily, just their strength in goods as a cooperative.

    Performance score.
The higher the Performance score, the harder the challenge is going to be.

    Challenge run time.

Now I can paste everything here, but can not paste in PM on our co op, so we can teach our members what the page looks like and how to pick a challenge. Can we paste pictures to our PM on our co ops ???

you cannot paste pics in the  PMs.

    copy this link: https://community.goodgamestudios.com/bigfarm/en/discussion/comment/3971082/#Comment_3971082

and copy that to your pm and then your members will  be directed to your post above and see what you are trying to show them.

@Terri8 (US1) I have a suggestion for you to try if you want to show your coop members images. At the top of the forum page is a Groups option. Click on that and you can start a new group. It's like a separate forum within the forum. You can put as many screenshots in there as you want, then paste the link to it in your coop PM's.  :)

I don't understand why player say they don't like Village fair, only thing I can think of is they are in a co op they should not be in.  They must be in a co op that pushes them to do more.  If you are in a co op that does not care where they finish as the reward of a deco is not worth the trouble, it just becomes fun to get as many rewards for yourself as you can get.  If you don't want to do it for the rewards, DON'T, but there is nothing to complain about with it.  It is FAR better than CC, IMHO

YOU HAVE A CHOICE, YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING.

I myself prefer the old version, but I also like the new version, as our co op is very relaxed and you just do what you want.

I'm not a fan, Byron, because I honestly don't care one way or the other about the rewards. I quit holding back crops in the hopes that they'll show up in a challenge for that reason. To me, it's like trying to do 4 missions at once -- non stop. If other events weren't going on in which I needed to harvest crops for other things, i might do more.

Fortunately with our coop, all participation is voluntary. Only about 3 or 4 are putting any real effort into it. Even the top prizes for the coop are nothing to write home about. If they want enthusiastic participation, they need to start offering substantial rewards.

@artful (US1) our co op is very relaxed, we just start a challenge, you don't have to hold anything back, just farm normally and if you have some of what is asked great, goes towards personal rewards if not who cares.  We don't care if we don't complete challenge, but we still get a few personal rewards for nothing.  As far as our co op is concerned, they could run it for 7 days end it and start another straight away and forget CC forever

This is a actually a pretty smart way to play the event if you're not in it for the top rewards or the competition. I also play in a similar way to this and just do my regular farming with the occasional extra reward. The longer challenges are good for this as they have longer reward lines, the shorter challenges are much better for a competitive team but it all depends on your play style and the co-op you're in etc.

I feel the same but for different reasons  :¬D Most of the top half of our co-op got the gml's last time and we are hoping the haven't tuned that out of it this time. We are enjoying having something to pull together on that offers worthwhile rewards. Much, much better than the CC

I agree! I feel GGS will eventually rebalance Village Fair and remove all the good prizes as they did in the other events and that would be wrong in my opinion. If other events had a rewards list like VF it would motivate players to actually try and win them. CC's a bit pointless now because the prizes suck!

I was just explaining why I didn't like the event. Your statement indicated that you were surprised people didn't like it, and I responded with my view of it If you read all the comments in the Forum, you'd see why some others don't like it, either. Our coop is very relaxed, too. No one has to do what they don't want to do. But a number do not like the event, and so skip it. That's all. Different strokes for different folks.

Some of it is purely a time consideration. If I spend time doing everything I wanted, I'd be spending way too many hours on a game, which isn't particularly healthy. As it is, it takes over an hour each morning just to get all my farms and fishing ready for the day. And that doesn't include taking part in other events I like.

Would they present it when nothing else is going on -- just once -- it might be a different story, and I could see myself participating enthusiastically. (You know, like back when the CCs were rare and wonderful things.) As it is, a lot is going on 24/7, and people want to spend time on other events, or, GASP!, work on developing their farms.

Used to be it was a relaxing farming game with the occasional competition thrown in. Now it's just the opposite. Some view the VF as more non-stop competition, and just say "enough" already. It is, in some ways, an improvement, but at the end of the day, it's still a competition in a never-ending parade of them.

I hope you didn't think I was putting you down for enjoying the event. Merely responding to your statement that you didn't understand why some people didn't. :)

@artful (US1) I totally agree, but it comes down to how you want to play, I am non golder, and skip most things, I never do CC, our co op does not do VF and we def don't do Oktoberfest (total waste of effort).  So as a very relaxed co op it makes no difference what they put on, let the golders compete as much as they like and spend gold on ALL the comps as that is what keep the game going.  I think you thought I am disagreeing with you, I am not.  But there no need to complain about all the competitions, just IGNORE them

Personally, I really love the event :)

multiple strategies involved, multiple possibilities :D

I foresee even more variety in combo's of resources asked , some are rare

its not too hard to get all HW rewards, if u have a participative team, you can also play at ur pace :D

I wish there could be a way the search filter system could be locked by leader and deputies so that the star levels and challenge times you want to play are visible to all members until the leader decides to change them.  I'm sure we've all encountered the member who maybe doesn't fully understand the event who commits their co-op to a 3 star lengthy challenge who then feels bad when told you've been doing the 1 or 2 star short ones.  To be able to lock the list of challenges and make the list visible to all members would, I think, be helpful.

So... what exactly can we do with "points" for these challenges??? What does one cash in for?  Anything?

@Artmaker (GB1) they give you lots of hard work rewards, this is one of the best events for hard work rewards, until they change them to say they are making them better, as they have done on other events
