You want to give me a convenience feature I'd use? Make my Deep Sea Fishing boats autoload equipment. LOL. Loading 14 boats and sending them out (even with the Shift+Click feature) is still a PITA. :)
    ....
And for all that's holy, please make an option to buy a personal subscription as a gift for someone else.  There are several members of my Co-Op that I would love to buy a month for (like for a Christmas present).

Two of the best suggestions I've seen so far.  Love them.  Also, the steveless upgrades would be a win.

The people that complain that the paying people will have an advantage... well, yes, a bit.  But is not as much as you might think.  Even with the repeat planting, which is the feature I'll be using the most, the gain is not that much, but it provides with a needed relief.  I get tired of planting and replanting, THAT alone makes me want to leave the game, its like a second job.  Not fun.  The auto planting, helps me out with it and allows me to compete otherwise, I could not.
I will gladly pay $5 per month for it, hoping that they include some of the suggestions I quoted above.
What makes you think that the players who are invited to "play for free" wouldn't also like this needed relief you talk of? The so called convenience features should be given to ALL players. It ought not be tied to real money payment subscription packages.

@CM_Hunter I am happy with the idea of the packs, but I do see the problem that, when doing repeat harvest it is not checking to see if the goods are required at bakery before it goes to market, this is more important then the other that I ask for, which was it should check that weekly event is not asking for donate item.  both of these I think need to be addressed.  I do like the idea of water all trees but this is not a major factor for me.

I have said the whole time when playing this game, that GGS just makes things too expensive so most are not interested.  I feel the very reasonable price of EU$5 per month.  I am a non gold buyer and if the 2 points above ( bakery and event) could be addressed I am definitely in.

I am very disturbed by this.  I see enormous problems and a lack of balance barreling towards us.

    Let me ask...

    1.  Will players know which member so the coop bought the coop and which ones did not?

    2.  What are the prices in US dollars?

    3.  Can I use gold to buy these?  If a player bought too much gold in the past, could they use that?  At what price?

As has been mentioned a few times, it's not possible to provide everything free of charge and convenience features are something we tend to charge for. The convenience features are available for all players who are willing to purchase them and for those who don't they can continue to play as they always did.

Will we be able to view the contents of both the personal subscription packs and the coop subscription packs before we buy, if we buy?  Because I do want to know what's in them before purchase.  This way if I don't like what is in them, I can choose not to buy.  I don't want to take "pot-luck".  Thank you.   o:)
Yes! All the content will be shown in a new menu, I'm hoping to get you all a sneak peek at that soon. There are no 'pot-luck' elements and you'll be able to see exactly what you'll receive before you decide to make a purchase.

Thanks a heap for the feedback! You're correct that currently the bakery is not considered, I'm not sure I'll be able to get that suggestion implemented in the first iteration but I'll most certainly raise the point and see if it can be considered. Weekly events could be a little tough and might be quite a complex system to build in the end, the effort could be a little too high, but now I know that's important to you we might also be able to consider alternate solutions with a similar overall effect at least. I'll raise it at the nearest opportunity ;)

    1. Yes, it will be visible when players have an active subscription
    2. I currently don't have an exact price list for the various servers at the moment for you, but I will try to get some US dollar prices at least. Unfortunately not possible at the moment but I'll see what I can do!
    3. No, subscriptions can't be bought with gold because they recur. If they were purchased with gold we would need to setup a subscription for gold which would in turn be removed and pay for the subscription. We thought a 2-step process was simpler and easier. It is also really easy to cancel, you can literally buy a subscription and cancel immediately after to make sure you only get it for one month if you like, then you're free to start back up again if and when you choose to.

    Hi Hunter,

    A little question please :
"Will we be able to take a subscription by paying for it by PayPal or will we have to go through our own bank account?"

I took PayPal for BigFam and I don't know what is possible for recurring orders .

Can you inform me about this?  Thank you.

Have you considered letting each player have one free month of each subscription, to see if they like it?

@gavinfarms (US1) @CM_Hunter I think 1 week free trail would be more appropriate, you would know after 1 week if it was for you or not.

Also the easier solution to the event, is change from donate to collect, as per mobile harvest no event has donate item, then that solves that problem totally.
  • I would subscribe if it had a feature called less CC`s !

PayPal will be an option for the subscription packs, yes :)

I don't think it has been considered up to this point, not sure how feasible it is but I'd rather check with the team before I give a hard yes or no to that one.
  • No thanks.  For me, the whole point in playing is to actually DO stuff myself.  The occasional "Gold 2fer Pack" is all I'm interested in.  And still no availability to dismantle excess boats to use for upgrades or the ability to accrue Construction Coins above (approximately) 50.  With all the extra profits GGS will be making from their new "packages", maybe they could work on these glaring incongruities???

I don't think we've ever agreed to add a mechanic to upgrade boats with parts so it remains a suggestion at this stage. We did increase your storage recently to give you more room and try to ease the issue of boats in the short term as well as increase the amount of decorations you can have stored. The construction coin suggestion is one we've put forward but we haven't released the full details of the contents of packs yet either. We'll get the contents released for everyone as soon as we're given the go and then you'll have a much clearer idea of what will be available.
  • So where's the subscriptions you guys promised for November?  Are ya gonna wait till the end of the month to try and charge us full price for one month?  Let's get this show on the road people!!!

    MAGNETIX

  • Unfortunately for me this game has become far to expensive without subscriptions.

I am, Sorry I was a regular gold buyer. but until things get better. bugs, lag, better prizes etc etc etc, i`m out sorry GGS.

i`m not parting with my hard earned cash for a cow shed that`s way to big for any farm. you need to move your focus away from getting every bit of gold out of us and focus on fun, remember fun ? its why we play this game in the 1st place, I don`t say i`ll have a game of big farm for some stress.

i`v left my co op, gone alone and not buying anymore gold in protest.

Generally adding new content requires an update ;) It can also be noted that when we say 'in November' this does not mean 'November 1st and not a day later', but rather within the time period of the year frequently referred to as November and usually lasting around 30 days. 30 days ain't up yet partner, hold your horses! Subscriptions are coming, you won't be charged unless you opt-in and the day you start the subscription is also the day it ends the next month, so you won't be charged a full month unless you receive a full month.

I think because of all the troubles which have stemmed from last year and with the HTML problems then players should be given a FREE! taster subscription without subscribing

There was an update planned for Thursday 8th, which has now been postponed until next week

    Noooooooooooooooo.................

Is it not bad enough that I'm standing outside the doors, banging on the windows saying "Open, Open, Open", waiting (somewhat impatiently) for subscriptions? Now you want me to wait until NEXT week?

    Yer killin' me Wabbit. :)

This is me, waiting for subscriptions:

@CM_Hunter @WascallyWabbit I know it states it will be EU$4.99, does that mean when we buy subscriptions, pay pal or credit card will convert at daily rate?   I hope so..

The price of subscriptions will vary by server, but that also means prices will be given in your local currency. This means prices won't fluctuate according to any daily rates but be a consistent cost, just like purchasing gold in the store is. There won't be a need for conversions and it should be fairly straightforward to get your pack, unsubscribe, resubscribe and whatever else you fancy doing with it :)

Subscriptions are for fully animated, roaming games that give rewards when earned.  Why would barely animated war oops sorry farming games even think about subscriptions.

@CM_Hunter thanks, in that case can we get price per server, AU, US, GB and INT would be the main ones for this forum, so as we know what to expect, please?  I know I have asked for this before but I never get response, I am starting to worry that it is going to be more expensive for AU and US servers.

  • Why would I pay to play a game that doesn't run smoothly and is outdated in design and graphics? Why would someone take the time to sit and reload the game several times a day only to see all that effort count for nothing? Are you going to one day decide you sold too much in a subscription and take it back without a refund? It's no wonder a growing group of us are playing another farm game these days. I came back to see if things had improved, because I liked my co-op. Well, my co-op flew the coop. The small handful left are desperately trying to stay silver in the CC when they also lost their leader. Keep chasing them off. I know, you're going to erase this post. Stick your head in the sand GGS and when you finally look up you'll see that patch of sand was a grave. The first bite of a candy bar is great. The fifth bite is filling. The tenth is just calories you'll regret. Business works the same way. You love the money these players gave you. You wanted more and created a way to get it. Now you're just pricing the game out of competition. The players are telling you how to make your game great, but instead of creating a good atmosphere of respect for your customers, you are once again trying to fleece them of money. When you simply pay to play a game, it should be a great game. How many kids are you cutting out of competition because they don't have cards to spend? See, this is a rich person's game, but the only reason many stick around is they invested time and money in it and are attached to that effort, but you're chasing even those customers off. Hate to see you crash and burn, but I'll check in from time to time to see if there's anything left to save.

I did request the info but the only available information I have is for US and EUR currencies. I can tell you that it will be priced fairly based on your current store prices, so it won't be wildly expensive in comparison to the gold packs you can purchase and should in fact be more valuable, providing you with a discount in comparison to spending gold on each thing in the packs. I'll try and get that detail as soon as I can for you but the best option would be to take a look when they appear in-game. Sorry I couldn't giver a more direct response just yet!

Why would I pay to play a game that doesn't run smoothly and is outdated in design and graphics? Why would someone take the time to sit and reload the game several times a day only to see all that effort count for nothing?
Your personal experience seems to be overtly negative but this may not be the case for all players. Not everyone is reloading the game as much as you seem to report, while I accept that isometric games are less common now not everyone dislikes the style or needs a massive graphical overhaul in the game to enjoy it. I have always really loved both the simplicity and expressiveness of our art style, and the art team loves working on making gorgeous new decos and skins and skylines and receiving often positive feedback for it.

this is a rich person's game...
Our model is and always has been free to play, and the free to play model has always sparked arguments between factions of players that don't like to pay and those that do. It's not a problem we can solve and the argument is as old as online gaming itself. There are lots of ways to play without spending gold, I personally know a whole host of players who have never made a purchase but are very successful and happy players. Guides have been posted in numerous places online to assist those who wish to play for free and we welcome all of our players, no matter their opinion on spending.

The players are telling you how to make your game great...
And we are listening, we recently released a host of upcoming features and topics for you guys to give you advanced notice of what is coming in the next few months and are actively collecting feedback on those topics, trying to implement more of what players want and making sure you get to have your say. Many people are excited and happy about the subscriptions and many players have been excitedly asking me when they will arrive, how much they will cost, what's in the packs and more. It's a subjective thing entirely but what for you might not be interesting could be interesting to others.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We won't delete your comment because we're not interested in stifling feedback, it doesn't help anyone in the end and I don't believe that's an effective way for me to do my job. Only comments that break community guidelines will be edited or removed from the forum.

@CM_Hunter 'fairly based on current store prices', This is what worries me.  I have believed for a long time that AU pays more for gold than Euro.  One of the reasons I do not buy ANY gold as it is TOO expensive.  I was happy to hear EU$4.99 was price for subscriptions which is AU$7.99 per month.  This is really going to tell how much they overcharge players on AU and US servers.  Guess we will have to wait and see then yell and scream.  If it is more than AU$7.99 I am out and I was behind and supporting these subscriptions all the way.

As you can see AU$7.99 is actually more than current exchange rate.  The more they refuse to tell us, the more I get worried

    @Byron Longford (AU1)
All store prices are based where you live, it's a common practice with most global businesses. The prices you receive though are not directly linked to the daily exchange rate or there would be wild fluctuations on a daily basis. It's just not possible to constantly track exchange rates globally and alter prices on a minute-by-minute basis. The exchange rate you posted and the price you have assumed on your server only seem to differ by around 10 cents or so and that could be accounted for by daily fluctuations and doesn't seem far off. But it also doesn't make sense to compare to another store, there may be stores in countries where gold is a lot cheaper but it may also be the case that the average wage is a lot lower there, so it's best to make a comparison to your current store prices but the prices for the subscriptions will not be more expensive than buying gold and the packages represent a good value way to get some nice items and effects.

@CM_Hunter I understand that, but we should not be paying a lot more just because we live in another country. So if subs are EU$4.99 that means they should be AU$7.99 lets se if they are.  Looks like VPN for anyone who want to buy gold or subscription might be the way to go and find out who gets the cheapest gold and subs.
The other problem with what you are saying, cost depend on where you live not your server.  If someone goes to a server where gold is a lot more expensive but they still buy their gold at the rate of where they live they have a huge advantage as their gold is a lot cheaper. Gold price should be as per server not where you live.  But please don't have it changed as I will soon be taking advantage of this, I am moving to another country soon.

@Byron Longford (AU1) I don't think that you are going to solve the problems of the world through an online farming game. We might all be brought together through the internet & a wonderful thing that is, but we all still live in completely different places, with different timezones, currencies, costs of living, taxes, laws etc etc & to try to take just one element & make it equal for everyone, really makes no sense.

Even if you took one currency, say the Euro, the value of that Euro is totally different depending on which country you earn it in or spend it in & you are always going to find advantages or disadvantages if you look hard enough, there are even huge differences in how much it costs to be on the internet in the first place, depending on where you live. But looking at BF, you could be on a small server with expensive gold & still end up better off, because you would spend less to reach higher rankings, then you could say it was an advantage to be on a smaller server, until some event comes along that favours a larger server & suddenly that is the advantage. The bottom line is that, it is all swings & roundabouts, we play the cards that we are dealt, some days we win, some days we lose... That's life my friend!

You did make me laugh, by stirring up the pot & then turning round & saying: "But please don't have it changed as I will soon be taking advantage of this, I am moving to another country soon."  - Classic! Lachen Smileys Smileys en emoticons

  • @RunsWivScissors (GB1) I just love stirring the pot and make people actually think, not just go along with what they are told.
