How can GGS say that the treats/gifts are not heavily used ?
So many farms filled with gifts every single day, regardless of any events. If they weren't used why would you bring them back in an all new form later on ? It would be much simpler and immediate to just remove the tricks/pranks from the Twin's shop
It seems more likely that GGS has decided to stop giving us the opportunity to exchange karmas for gifts: as the announcement says " you will still receive karmas for now" FOR NOW.
Later on, players will have to buy the gifts, why ? Because we like them, and make heavy use of them, hence we have to pay for
This is another wrong decision unfortunately, but well in line with recent changes. As usual the announcement itself is deceptive and aims at confusing people. When bad things need to happen suddenly GGS loses clarity and ability to explain, what a shame and what a despicable way of treating clients

As a result we will no longer run the Trick or Treat event in the game, not only due to the prank issue but because according to our data it is not a heavily used feature by most players.
Gold Grabbing Syndicate is extending its tentacles to grab and swallow everything we love, adore and enjoy.
Each update pours new dose of venom to kill the fun, and, in the process, hammers a new nail to the coffin of the game.
Yes, there will be a new trader that offers the gifts, and karma can be used - In December.
There will be quite a few cooperative championships, CHWE's. FHWE's, HWE's etc. between now and then.
It's perfectly rational that we would like to be able to get more gifts before December to help our fellow players, thank them for helping us, welcoming them to the coop's and so on.
Also, as someone that played the wwc WoF when it was broken, was the update today supposed to give some compensation? If it was, I didn't receive anything.
It saddens me, that something that works perfectly well, trick or treat, naughty or nice whatever its called this week gets removed and another new, more than likely broken event will turn up. Its pointless saying its because GGS are listening. If they were truly listening why have we had so many cc's and hwe's this month? How many players have said there are too many events? A lot more than have said about the tricks being removed I bet. Its just a way of making the game harder to play with minimal gold expenditure. Yes, I know you have costs etc and am happy to buy gold when I really need it, but make it too expensive or hard to play and there will be no point in buying. Think of it this way GGS, I'd buy a bag of sweets for say £1 and enjoy them so much the next time I was in the shop I'd likely buy another. If they cost £5 a bag I wouldn't have bought them in the first place.
It's not only that they are making it harder to play with minimal gold expenditure, they literally are killing any desire people have to even buy gold. The game is filled with people who no longer buy gold because the game is continually broken, bug ridden, and all the really fun features have gradually been removed. People will pay to play when a game is fun and rewarding.
By catering to (bleeding dry) heavy gold buyers, they are killing the game. Someone recently posted that they would be better off having lots of small gold buyers than a scant handful of heavy buyers. They could have both if they had an ounce of business sense -- which they don't appear to have.
I kinda figured that's what it was, but it would have taken me over a day to test it.. I have a LOT of leftover soccer seeds, and the only way to get rid of them would be to plant them and use a ton of seaweed or gold.
Thanks for confirming my theory though! They've fixed it now so it's a moot point either way.
That gives me a sad.
I use these "Tricks" quite often - with permission:
(I stock up on Mysterious Seeds every Halloween). But no, I never use them in missions (which is where I think most of the contention comes in).
I can live without Spooky Ghosts, but please please please don't stop selling Mysterious Seeds. I love asking someone to plant Wildflowers, then hit 'em with a few seeds.
Just give them 3 free Bonus Spins.
We hardly ever get a decent, prize anyway, my 4200 sunflower seeds can attest to that.
It would not cost GGS anything since the free spins are owed anyway
