I've played this game since 2013 and I'll be honest, it is ruining my right wrist. The game has always been exclusively mouse-reliant but I like to have downtime after work and chores so I'll load up Big Farm and help my co-op out with our projects and other admin duties I have to take care of.

You recently added a "turbo harvest" option, which I was really excited about, but then saw that it cost gold to use it. But maybe please consider the idea of making it a cash option instead. It shouldn't be a feature that costs real money, rather, a feature to help your customers make this game a sustainable past-time.

Considering ERGONOMICS means that your game shouldn't present as a MSD or RSI hazard for people as I acknowledge that there are people that do play this game a lot during the day ... they're more at risk of developing right wrist and shoulder injuries from playing your game to keep up with the features that are added.

Please note: I am an ergonomic specialist, and have my workstation set at the right heights for my stature. I'd have to believe that for 90% of your gaming population, they aren't and will not have the same knowledge of how to set up their computer stations to be ergonomically sound.

If you're interested, google ergonomic computer desk set up. At least set up your mouse height to be at the same height as your elbow bent at 90 degrees while seated and fully supported by your chair, or while standing if you're lucky to have a standing desk, and have your monitor height to be inline with your seated eye height.

So, if you can make it so ... can you program features that let's people mouse less, or use awkward postures, and still be productively interacting with their farms?

Suggestions that would be amazing:
  • Make the candy/eggs/squash bigger! You're encouraging people to lean into their computer screens to look for those things and that increases bad seated postures. No back support, contact stresses on elbows and wrists, increased eye strain (and that's probably with the screen zoomed in to 150%).
  • Reducing the having to click on "i want it" more than twice to get through those daily goals, jetty rewards.
  • Making a "sow all fields with this crop" and "harvest all fields" feature that costs dollars (or cow stables, apiaries, etc.). Not gold. Ergonomics shouldn't be a fancy luxury.
  • Making the size of your icons in the deep sea fishing window smaller, so that when you select who or what tools you use on the boats, you don't have to mouse over the icons as much.
  • There are so many things!
Other ideas I'm hoping will be generated and offered by the rest of this community.

Thank you for your consideration in this suggestion.

  • @jules314 (US1)  I like some of your ideas. What would really impress me is not having to program a turbo planter. I'd like to see all of the feeders and planters work for free and you just press a mouse button and run it over said item. Run it over once to plant and another time to fertilize. Run over it again to harvest. Much faster than clicking the mouse each time. You're also right that many of us do not have it set up to be ergonomically correct. I'd like to see brighter colors when trying to read print. See how hard it is to read the top line compared to the rest?

Click and drag is a great idea for harvesting. I've seen it in another online game. It takes a lot of the tediousness away.

Holding down the shift key when planting could mean do this for empty fields/stables/orchards.
Holding down the shift key when using the repeat option could mean to do this for all of same type with a total amount of gold showing to be spent on this.

Hopefully HTML5 will allow more flexibility with these kinds of things.
