village building upgrade

Hi, we are upgrading our buildings and just noticed that our M&M upgrade looks rather odd...  The numbers are off

It looks as though we have donated more than was required.  How can this be and can we get the excess back or added forward?  I'm going to start the construction once another building is done.

Thanks

You co op has been penalized some where a long the way of getting your M & M building to the ready stage so you can upgrade it.. There must be a donation made to an on going upgrade with in the CV with in a 24 hour period of the last donation or a penalty is applied to the items that have been donated to that buildings upgrade process.

It is a good idea to check all your village buildings (which can be done through the warehouse under current village activities on the right side) to make sure the last donation has been less than 24 hours to avoid the "Break cost".  Missing the 24 hour period even once will increase the amount of items needed because you lose a percentage of all the already donated materials. Even if you add just one nail per day it will prevent the break cost.

I don't know what caused this but I don't see how it can be Break-Costs
The Cement requirement used to be 250, they have donated 250, and now the requirement has gone down to 247.

The difference in amount donated vs amount needed has nothing to do with Break Costs.  Note that the difference on each item is 1% less (within rounding).   What happened is that someone in your Coop donated Gold to reduce the amount of materials needed.  Look in the bottom right corned of the materials donation window to see the gold donation option I am referring to.  If you are going to do this type of gold donation, you should do it before any materials are fully donated because you can't get back the extra amounts now.

Its just the way its written, cement originally required 247 , break cost of 1% is 3 , all the items show 1% increase, to the nearest whole number .

Sorry @garybaldy (GB1) , but you are interpreting that incorrectly.

Cement cost in the example above were originally 250, the coop donated the entire 250, then someone paid gold to reduce the requirements by 1% (250*.99 rounded = 247), thus the new requirement is 247 but because they had already donated 250 the status fraction shows 250/247.

BTW - when Break costs occur it does not change the required amount (denominator) in the status fraction.  You are not required to donated more goods, instead, some of the goods you have already donated are 'broken' and lost from the total.  If you incur Break costs the 1% is immediately deducted from the amount you have already donated; i.e. the numerator of the status fraction is reduced, not the denominator increased.

That explains it, thanks Lylu    :)
  • Thank you very much!!! :)

The amount needed is always on the right, making the amount of cement that was needed 247.  The coop donated 250 cement. Therefore they donated more than the original amount.  The original amounts do not change unless gold is applied to reduce the cost.  If a break cost is applied it reduces the amounts of the items that were already donated but have not been completed. The shingles are 3,168/3,168 which is the same either because no shingles were donated at the time of the break or they were already completed.
  • goodmorning,

we are waiting about a year now  for the LAVAfarm.

can you tell me if they are still working on it or can we forget the whole farm?

another thing, we are so tiried of al the events and they go on and on, it really is too much.

there are so many people complaining about it but nothing changed.

many people are leaving coops to play solo because they don't want to play 24/7 to reach everything.

when BF  doesn't stop with this a think it will be over about a year.

    greetings

    Thanks!

I think I understand how this works but I'm not sure why its happening.  Do the break costs increase because no one in the coop has donated anything to that building on that day?

Yes.   A couple of us in our co-op go round every building every day and donate at least 1 Nail

@Big Beck (US1) The % depends on the building level & as John says, if at least 1 donation is made before 24 hours has passed, nothing will be deducted.

I think he's asking about the break costs increasing.

The first day (with no donations), the break cost is 1%.

The second day (with no donations) is 2%

    The third day.... etc., etc.

I don't think think this is the case, however, because:

No donations for 31 days, but break costs are still only 1%.

So to answer to your question Beck, I have NO IDEA what causes break costs to increase from 1% to 2% (or more).

    I have :)

Bin wondering about it for some time and finaly, the lamp lit up :).

It depends of the level of the building. At low levels, breaking costs are 1% and than the procentage increases after certain level. I noticed it, when the village pond breaking costs inceased from 1 to 2 after the upgrade.
