    Yep, you are so right, about " live and learn ".   I should know by now to not jump the gun when something new comes along; instead, take a wait and see attitude.   So, as I said, Kitty House sitting there taking up space, no happiness points, no anything.... can't demolish it, and some can't even move it once it's been placed, and no light at the end of the tunnel.... for years.... to get enough charms.  Kitty House at this point is like a de ja vu with loading the ship with 6 slots instead of 4 after you mistakenly visited the " other " farms.

    congratulations for your creativity.

    Yesterday we spent quite some material to bring the ship in the village to 0% (100% repaired) and today it is telling me that I already got my supply? 

    I did got nothing at all!!!!!

    When I clicked on the boat (2mins after arrival) the button for the supply was already grey.

    Please fix this!!!!!

    Thank you GGS - this update was a very positive move.  Love having the choice of selling fish or filling contracts.  Seems like a good balance between the two and farming remains the focus.  Really appreciate the development team and management taking all the feedback and coming up with a good workable plan.

    sad, but true. same thing happened to me and the temp farms.  they tell you to so visit them, but don't warn you what will happen if you do.

    Also I do not appreciate the messy way information is dispatched. If you want to follow a topic you have to jump over several threads and seek in between posts. This is something that could have been sorted out long ago quite easily if enough attention was paid to it. While general threads are not always easy to keep on topic as many posters contribute, information threads are under sole control of community team and could easily be managed to the above mentioned effect. Seeing how much energy is wasted on points which I consider counterproductive, unnecessary and dubious (can't unfortunatelly disclose more in public thread if I want to avoid being "moderated") makes me feel about this neglect even stronger and more emphatic.

    Your post certainly illustrates your point!  This is a forum, and discussions will meander.  I see your point, but I think we sometimes need less management, not more.  The "urge to merge" recently has become very strong, and newer comments or questions about a topic often get thrown onto old threads and lost in the shuffle.

    It would be more beneficial, I think, to close threads that are old or very very long.  People can still reference them for information.  And even if a question ends up being repeated from one asked months or years ago, it might be seen by someone new.  It's okay to start fresh, even if some info is repeated.  I have seen very old threads get bumped up but the info was sorely out of date, confusing everybody.

In this I agree with you that there is enough/too much of it. I expressed disappointment at how moderators organize themselves. Talking about announcement and update posts - places which we players can't mess up with our comments. If you for example want to know what's happening with DSF and all it's "updates" you stand no chance unless you follow the debates regularly. You need to find original announcement first, then there are posts spread over mods bulletin, than sometimes posts within relevant (or even not relevant) discussion threads. Nothing in original announcement alerts you to the fact that it has been updated several times by posts spread over several other threads. When it comes to organizing useful information their routines are near to useless. Energy is wasted on unnecessary, even harmful activities, while core quality indicators - like above mentioned information clarity and consistency - are to a large extent ignored or neglected.

    FYI: Building Cat Tree doesn't give the cat immediately, but still give the Village Happiness after it is built.

    This is going to take a very long time! I built my cat on MF first thing this morning and I've had my game on most of the day and getting my charms all day.

    Right now I have 32,000 out of 4,500,000 charms (32k rounded off)
    say 32k charms a day, it's gonna take me 140 days to get a cat in that cat tree. All I can say is, what were you thinking?

    I'm curious to know what rewards the cat will give when we "finally" collect the charms needed (in about 2 years)....tokens seaweed and gmls??? Has anyone just caved and bought the charms with gold to see the rewards yet?

    If rewards are basic produce like the dog then this addition to the game is a bust!

    bug detected: cannot move my cat tree after having built it to reposition it. Anyone else?
    @Michiru (GB1) Mine moves ok on Main farm, which farm is yours on & does reloading game fix it?

    In my excitement I built the cat tree on all three farms :D:D<3 (watching the kittie jump into the cardboard box is the cutest thing ever! My grumpiness towards the designers over the building upgrades without visual changes has completely dissipated lol)
    After building it I cannot move the cat tree on any of the three farms. When I click on it, the ring menu with the moving option does not appear, only the charm number info. I've tried the "outline view" - same thing. Ive reloaded, logged out and in again, still cannot move it. Do I have to wait until all charms are collected?

    EDIT: When clicking on dog training my black Lucifer becomes white too (within the pop-up window), but then switches back to black after closing and re-opening doghouse window. He's still strolling on my farm (in his usual black colour), didnt get scared off by the cathouse lol

    My FF cat is bugged,
    I can't tell if I'm getting any charms. I am getting charms as drops but I can't tell if they are adding up. 

    When I mouse over my FF cat I get this

    Wow, looks like you already have your kitty, you can train her, that means no charms needed! Did you accidentally spend the gold or is it that bug that was mentioned about some farmers having their cat already on flower farm? I vaguely remember reading about that in the server maintenance thingie. Are you still getting this or are you back on collecting charms?

    Go to cursor (white arrow) at the bottom of your screen beside the build button and pick move from there.

    Well let's hope they fix it soon because I don't have the room to keep a 2x2 space open on each end. In the image below you'll notice the only way I could get the cat to walk around was to have a 4x2 space on each end, a 2x2 may have worked.



    moving the cat tree like that made my dog come back too :)

    Edit by me to add this: as soon as I refreshed the cat was stuck again and my dog was gone :( but he popped back on to dig for his treasure.

    Like what I said yesterday...getting a real cat in real life is not this hard....@GGS you have to do some "RE-BALANCING" on the amount of charms needed. 
    Option 1: Lower the amount.
    Option 2: Charms need to drop from every building.
    Option 3: Just give us the cat like you did with the dog.

    Ok guys.

    I got your idea of the deep blue sea update. You regret that we were fishing living animals and burst the prices down to make us burn the boots.

    Otherwise it must be a very poor joke.

    1x Lisa 39.000
    2x Nancy = 2x 12.000 = 24.000
    3x box = 3x 27.300 = 81.900
    144.900 in total

    111x shrimp = 111.000 - 144.900 = serious? 
    111x venus shells = 133.200 -144.900 = are you sure you know what you are doing?

    with the others at least we will have a kind of earning... 

    If you stay with this prices you need to make the following updates:

    a.) reduce the prices of the boots by 95%
    b.) reduce the prices for some buildings like the lab by 95% (you can remove the recepies for the gold chests in addition, but we should have the possibility to use the see gras..)
    c.) calculate the prices for the vulcano farm very careful
    d.) there will be other points that I dont have in mind right now
    @Grünter (DE1)  The message from the PL last Friday, did say that fishing in the worst locations, with higher level boats would not be profitable

    @T.O.P (INT1) @artful (US1)  Can you explain how the missing dog is affecting your happiness? I see on your screenshot TOP that it is +85 & are you not still able to click the bubble to feed the dog, even if the actual dog is not appearing? Thanks for any more details you can give.

    Has anyone compared the differences the heart collectibles for the cat on the main farm versus the other farms?  Or does each cat tree no matter the locations (Main, Gourmet, Flower) require the same amount (3+million hearts).  I ask because I want to figure out which farm to put my kitty tree on first.  Another question: If I have 3 kitty trees (one on each farm), will the hearts collected from each of the farms be applied to whichever cat needs it first? (i.e. if flower farm cat needs less hearts, will the hearts I collect on the main farm transfer and be utilized for the flower farm cat?) So will all the hearts collected be pooled into one basket of hearts?
    @FarmerCli (US1) You collect charms for each cat from the farm that it is built on.
    Well, so far I have to say it was a big mistake to build the cat house.  I put it on all 3 farms.  It's taking up space, doesn't do anything, and it will be literally years before I can collect enough charms.   And worst part is, apparently you can't demolish it.   If I could, I would.   For example, my Gourmet Farm, which I hardly ever use, I don't use the Silo and Composter on there and rarely use the Bakery  ( assuming those 3 will give charms ), so I have a grand total of 15 charms from the Bubble people.   I'm thinking I will not live long enough to see that cat house completed on the Gourmet Farm.   At 2,600,000 charms needed,  at 15 a day x 356, that is 5,340 charms a year.   Yep, big mistake to put the cat house on the Gourmet Farm.   
    @SandraFarmGirl (US1) I passed on your message & the bugfixers have done a ticket to get the ring menu available before all the charms are collected, so that it will be possible to demolish the cat tree sooner, if you wish to.
    I can not move or rotate the cat tree.  click on it and it keeps saying I need charms.  how am I suppose to move it or rotate it.  please help - I need to move it.  thank you
    @Maggielin2085Ma (US1)  You can use the cursor selector on the bottom bar, to enable you to move or rotate your cat tree.

    @Kimmiecat (NL1)  The amount of gold needed to unlock the cat, should get lower the more charms that you collect. 

    @everyone - Sorry for all the glitches, the team are working on them, its never easy introducing a new pet into a home. It looks like Vicky will have to start some therapy classes for some of your dogs.   :D

    you have to look at my second post the gourmet pic of the dog...cause my main farm happiness is way more than 85 so it does not affect the happiness level even if the dog is hungry.
    Anyway I think the dog is ok now aside from turning white when you move the cursor among the trick tab and missing from time to time.

    All contracts have a hidden 5% bonus.  Go look at any of your main farm contracts, and calculate what the listed price should be.  You'll notice that the amount listed on the contract will be 5% higher than what you calculate.

    Level has nothing to do with the price listed on contract.  The level bonus is applied separately (it's the 2nd pile of cash that drops off the truck when you fill a contract)
    I don't think this is meaningful with fish market as the prices for direct sale and prices for market sale are completely different and calculated (or rather add hoc created) independently. In OM market sale price is based on direct sale price.
    The sell price it's based on might be different, but the calculations behind the contract pricing is the same for both the main farm and deep sea fishing.  I'll point out that my figures are much rounder and neater - everything is a multiple of 500 instead of a multiple of 25.  I'd wager that if were able to look into the coding behind the deep sea contracts, we'd see that they input the figures that I gave.

    Though in the end, it's really all the same thing.  It just depends on your perspective.  I view both main farm and deep sea contracts as following the same rules, and report the sell values for both as not including any contract bonus.  If you want to view them as each having different calculations, then you can roll the 5% bonus into the sell price for deep sea contracts and not roll the 5% bonus into main farm contracts.
    OK. I get your point. You are probably correct to say that equations behind the price calculations are the same for both OM and FM. The practical relevance would be that bonus (up to 25 %) resulting from contract upgrades will be based on 100 % of fish market sales value (however haphazardly obtained and unrelated to direct sale value), while what we see as price on zero point contracts is 105 % value. Good thinking.

    a comment about the cat tree... once it is operational, it needs a 2x2 square in front of the box the kitty jumps in (on the cat tree) so it can then wander about the farm. If it is butted up against a deco or the fence, the kitty will get stuck and walk in place, it will not wander around the farm.

    @Fincana (US1) I have to admit I am as confused as you on that one. Mine is working with no problems, in a 6x4 space, as it should do. We have asked the techs to check why some are getting stuck cats & in the meantime, it would appear that it is better to not place it next to a fence. If some people have found that giving it more space has helped, then go ahead & try that, if you have the space available

    It is possible the stuck cats are connected with the duplicate cats, as those all appear to be walking on the spot, so it may be that when they work out where all the 2nd cats are coming from, that might also resolve the other issue.

    I am still unable to collect ANY charms for the kitty. I placed only one kitty on GF and that is also the only place where the dog stills remains. I am unable to collect any gifts from the other two dogs on the MF and FF.

    So I did the Fruitcake with Cream in the Bakery last night, harvested today, and it gives 1050 charms.  So if I did Fruitcake with Cream every day for a year, that would be 373,800 charms in a year, assuming I did the Fruitcake with Cream every day in the Bakery.   And at that rate, it would take me 7 years, doing Fruitcake with Cream every day, to get enough charms for the Cat House to work, or to be able to even demolish the Cat House.
    Big.... big... big huge mistake building the Cat House on the Gourmet Farm, and at least at this point, big, huge mistake building the Cat House on any of the Farms.

    Let that be a consolation for now.
