Personally, I protest against the fish market which, due to the proper counts, strongly penalizes us players.
For me, the speech is simple and clear: if Cgs does not restore the previous situation, I will destroy my fishing boats, and I will abandon the fishing farm.
I have read the same kind of protest, even on other forums in the world.
CGS forgets that every player is a customer. And according to market laws, the goal of every good seller, is the satisfaction of its customers. Cgs is doing exactly the opposite thing. Why should I spend real money for a game that no longer has fun?
I think Cgs, must meditate on this!

The only good thing about the deep sea fishing disaster of a change is that it got people ticked off enough that they are letting GGS know that we are all getting tired of the old bait and switch that seems to be the norm for them.  So far I would rank the contracts that I have seen and rejected as pathetic.  Swordfish that would have sold for 3.8 mil now get you a rake, a brush and 330K.  Not even counting the 181 clams because I didn't write down what that sold for previously.  That is a poor excuse for a joke, more of an insult.

Time to "re-adjust" very quickly GGS, before more of us head for the exit.

they really dont care because they know enough will stay playing

a few years ago someting same happened they changed the production costs of the farms. before the minimum was -100% and then suddenly they changed it to -460% because they didnt like production farms. At that time there where even more messages about that update. GGS servived and they know they will now survive also

there are enough money grabbing events to effort loosing a few of us

    THIS!!!
This game is nice when your are at lower levels because you have money and can do things. As you advance game becomes slower and more and more boring. Amount of money that one can make from deep sea fishing makes all levels as nice as low levels. One can do things and not have to wait for a month or more to make a big investment. This new "improvement" is making the game boring again.
Exactly my view of the game, too!  It really bites when everything takes 7 hours to 4 days to get done.  YAWN!!  Deep Sea, the way it was before "adjustment," put a little spark back into playing.  If it was me, I would have rather sped Deep Sea up by cutting down travel and fishing time.  Part of what I liked about DSF was that you could crew the boats so as to get things down to an acceptable playing time.  Now you've made it WORSE?

(Just a little side observation - when vets neuter a dog, don't they call that an "adjustment" too?)

    What GGS said:
"As you all know, it’s important for a complex game like Big Farm to have a balanced economy, progression and challenge to match the overall game play and the direct selling of deep sea fishing products would cause harm to this balance in the long run, and thus these changes are necessary. It was a great bonus for a while to get these extra dollars and many of you have put it to good use, upgrading parts of your farms and expanding them but this also took much of the challenge away from this process and in the long term this can become stagnant. The adjustments described will aid in re-balancing the situation and we feel that it is better to implement those changes now, instead of being forced to change them after a couple of months when the issue is more pronounced. "

This adjustment reminds me of the adjustment they made to the side crops.   Which I have stopped doing now.
I pretty much gave up on the Village.

I will still fish and just use what I catch in "The Mermaid Bay" until they decide to adjust that then I will no longer fish, and I'll see what the market has to offer, but knowing GGS it won't benefit us like selling them off would,

We all know that by "re-balancing" it means it is in GGS's favor, Does anyone know how long it would take to "progress" in GGS time? They act like you can enjoy all the benefits of the game by having a "balanced economy, progression and challenge"  Yet those who can't or won't spend gold and have a life away from the game can never really enjoy the benefits for at least the first 5 years of playing if not longer.  The 3-4 star events are impossible for regular players and they have 5-6 star events that are way out of reach.  The temp farms are even worse.  So are the horses. The prices for things that help with costs are way to high. If you can't enjoy some of the rewards unless you spend gold or play for several years then most of us aren't getting what GGS is selling, and they keep taking away things that would help low income and low lvl players because the power players abuse it.
    Hy there!
I was expecting this, so not a surprise for me.
This update comes to resolve what from the first place was an error in my opinion...the huge profit from the deep fishing area.
Sorry guys, but everybody has the right to an opinion no?
In one single day, you could earn 15 millions $ from the farms and 185 millions $ from the deep sea fishing,
resulting in a 7.5% income from farms and 92.5% income from fishing
In other words, in this situation, there was no reason any more for clicking in the farms and there was no reason any more for using decos etc etc...the game became a non sense and this update will resolve this aspect...it's a step for bringing back the normality.
What is NOT ok, is the aspect regarding the insane prices for the laboratory, Lester's tree and so on...other mistake..and they covered a mistake with other mistake.
In my opinion, from the first place, these buidings should have had a resonable cost, while the deep sea fishing should not contribute with more than 50% from the total daily $ income. That would be a good balance!

In my opinion the only people who used this option were those who didn't want to wait several years to upgrade things, I myself did not sell any fish I have thousands in my inventory, I use them in the mermaid Bay and making chum etc.  I'm not that impatient though I do have my moments

Also, 15 million $ ??  I'm lvl 94 and with the few hours a day I can play I can't make that much and I think the majority of players are in the same boat , which GGS seems intent on sinking.
  • Well, I have put aside my computer and done other things I found enjoyable today. Upon reflection, I realize that I am really angry - at a game meant for entertainment. Right now, my life is challenging - as I know other people's lives are as well. My dog probably has cancer. I mean really, I open my farm to escape my troubles for a while. Isn't that the purpose of entertainment? To make us feel better? To divert us for a while? To relieve some of the pain from the challenges we naturally face in our day to day lives - as everyone has these problems at some time or another. Yet, I am upset, angry, evaluating the justice of a GAME! Truly, I am sorry I ever spent cash on this game. i think I would be calmer if I had not invested my cash and my time. But when push comes to shove, this is really JUST a game. Who really cares about a game? They come, they go. I have played lots of games and quit most of them at one time or another. I refuse to allow GGS to destroy my effort to keep my peace. I have a lot of things outside this game waiting to do that. I apologize to the moderators, I know this is just your job and not really you - but I encourage you to explore alternative employ. A company that treats customers so badly can't really be that good to work for. Good luck in your endeavors - should you chose to pursue them. I believe weaning myself from this game's obvious tendencies for creating angst (if they did it once, they will probably do it again) and making sure a game does not have the power to destroy my peace is too important for me to continue in the unhealthy behavior of investing time and money on an unstable option. I may play occasionally, but this habit I can change! I plan on looking for another farming game - hope I see some of you there!.

Been fun while it lasted but it's officially over for me. Having fun destroying my lvl 236 farms..already got rid of all decos, dogs, fields, storage barns, 25 apples, labs, mills, silo and almost half my 45 ducks. Only 1 more trawler to go out of a fleet of 14 lvl 6 trawlers..did the math & it will take me another 30 days to destruct everything remaining and I already got 9 Billion farm dollars and not done yet. Somebody is going to get free money but will be tough to find some mid-level co-ops that are still moving forward I think..just may have to let it rot with the empty farms out in no man's land.. adios GGS & YES, I get the last laugh...YEEHAW!!!!
  • Where is that Griffith (INT1) ...I think I will try to blame him...after all if he had not been so smart & taught us how to make the big bucks seaside, we might still be letting Oleg do it for us ...  :D ....

Somehow I know it would have still happened to us all...Griff  just gave us a leg up & many thanks for all your honest effort.

Now if you could only reverse all this you could be King of the Forum... B)

They talk about balancing things out I just raised to level 89 and if I want to expand my main farm I need to come up with 49,,930,000 farm dollars  or 8,300 gold to buy one 10X10 ughhh I have never ever came close to having that many farm dollars at one time if I am lucky I can twenty dollars worth of gold every six weeks or so if I am lucky, the amount of gold given out during game well enough said. Only chance I had was with the deep fishing and being able to sell those fish and now GGS has taken that from me. Guess I wasted my hard earned farm dollars and bought/saved gold built a decent fishing fleet for nothing, this angers,pi$$e$ me off to no end.
  • What do you call it when you go to an online store somewhere to buy, say, a whole bunch of batteries. This one store, GGS Battery Store, offers their batteries at a great price so you pull out the credit card and buy 3 or 4 hundred batteries. A few days later the UPS guy delivers your order. You open the box and it is full of shredded newspaper. What do you call such a practice?  I spent real money upgrading all of those trawlers. MY real money. I paid that real money so that those trawlers would make a bunch of farm cash. GGS knew how much farm cash I would earn since they did, like, CREATE the feature. So they let me buy all of those trawlers and what do I get after spending all of that cash? What I paid for? Or maybe less than a box of shredded newspaper? What does one call such business practices???

This just isn't fun any more.  This "balance" isn't a balance.  It's a ripoff.  I was so happy to be able to use farm dollars to play the temp farms, upgrade things, and it was fun.  I probably spent more gold.  This isn't fun.  It's work.  I don't need to have more stress just for a game.  Sorry GGS, I think I'm out.

That is so sad about your dog! I agree that the game should not be another source of stress. I feel sad and sick about all of this, not just for myself, but for everyone. They have taken all of the joy out of this game. There is no longer any need to strive for tokens or karma points, because they sell rep pts during the CC. There is no use in cooperating with each other to achieve a goal, because it will be unattainable unless you spend all of your real cash to play. The majority of players cannot do this. Across 27 servers. There is no doubt that many will be looking for another game to play.

You really did it! I checked your farms. Congratulations for cutting the cord.

  • Im ANGRY!!! my first fish deal is for 156 cod & 132 tuna, yesterday that was worth ~ 6.5 Million today I only get 615 k????? that's just wrong !!!!!!!!!

I followed the rules and put a month into the dock fishing for BF to just wipe my $$ away.

BF basically stole ~650 Million of my dollars that I earned. we should have been alerted that this would happen!!!! we all worked our rumps off to get the dock open, fished & fished & fished some more, then BF just wipes the cash away. total bull puckies !!!!!

  • Hey Guys,

Have fun discussing the Latest Update here :)

This is exactly why some quit buying gold a long time ago.

75,000 dollars for plot of land I was planning to finish buying more plots.then you take away our source to buy these plots--- fishing. Im so over it.Im not doing village or temp farm...kill off horses and dismantle ships...Ill just farm or go to FV
  • SO NOT HAPPY for the first time in ages i was really enjoying the game being able to expand my farm, now i don't see the point in sending my boats out which costs quiet a bit of money and then not be able sell them, we can with the goods we sell at the organic market so why not our fish and chum
  • This game became bearable again when we could sell fish directly, It's gone right back to sucking. Not that it matters. People will moan and GGS will have a giggle and carry on and people will still buy gold. Well, not me.
Not me. This whale has been harpooned.  I'm done.
Me too. I'm not buying gold and I'll look for an other game to play with less nasty "surprises".
  • How is it fair / honest of BF to change the dock so drastically???? I had ~ $642 Million in dock product that BF just wiped out with the new dock system!!!!!! I earned this $$$$ before the change and BF should credit this amount to my account!!! I earned this by honestly playing the game. seriously starting to think about leaving the game!!! i worked for weeks to earn this $$$$ for BF to just decide to whip it away!!!!!!!!! total crap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I play the game in good faith but BF does not !!!!!!!!!!!

"As you all know, it’s important for a complex game like Big Farm to have a balanced economy."

Let's talk about Balance, shall we?

True, taken by itself, the DSF wasn't balanced.  BUT, it helped the game, already extremely lopsided from an economic standpoint, back toward some sense of balance overall.

Like the grocery store that loses money on bananas, but makes a killer profit on breakfast cereals.  One offsets the other.

Not only has GGS upset the status quo, it actually has made things worse overall than it was before fishing was introduced.

It would have been great had the masterminds who thought of this "solution" taken a few business courses in college. Business Basics 101.

I was thinking seriously of quitting game before Deep sea and when that came along my thought was FINALLY a valid was to make cash and upgrade that would not take 6 weeks or 6 months of saving to achieve without buying gold.  I still don't understand the uneven balance...all levels had an equal chance at fishing and gaining boats.

Now back to saving forever just to upgrade to higher levels...As many pointed out this is NOT a game it is a test on who is the richest..buy the most gold.  Not unlike the REAL world...the rich get richer the poor sit, slave and wonder.  Games are meant to be fantasy...this game has reverted back to real life...too much stress and time to make anything work.  Bad move by GGS as far as I am concerned for all levels.

I'll keep my farm but playing time is going to be reduced to an hour or two per day only to keep my dot at white instead of four hours or more.  I'll find something else to do to fill my "get away from life" time.  So many other things could have been done to change Deep sea  instead GGS decided to strangle it to death.
  • Well, prices drop, fishing time increased, impossible to sell directly, orders are not too attractive. Definitely Deep Sea is not fun anymore. BF should close it.
  • I don't usually say anything bc it has already been said. If GGS thinks that they will get more of my hard working dollars...they are very wrong!

I spend $10.00 a MONTH on this GAME. For 2 reasons...

       1)  I am disabled & live on a fixed income.

       2) GGS will NOT pay for my meds or my Doctor bills!

All the members of my coop work really hard just to fix the Jetty, (which I think is a load of poop, the way the village is set up).

I personally don't have time to fill more contracts. Much less send ships out to fish. I have been able to upgrade my farms by selling my fish, but if that is going to stop...so will my fishing.

I don't need more tokens of any kind!

But hey, keep messing things up & lets see how many people will keep paying you.
