Some are going to be super jealous that you have lester!
( i did not sell any fish for an week to see how much profit i could make, but in that time i upgraded my boats to skipjacks lvl 6, it cost me a lot, for no reason, what a waste )
This new change should have been notified clearly when logging into the game.
Instead we have to go to the forum to see the changes, it would have been easy to let it pop-up when we login to the game.
I can not market forget about lester
So I thought the adjustment meant they would drop prices but I did not dream that they would remove the option to sell altogether. Like, the organic market is just an alternative way of selling products, for a slightly better margin. i'm ok with that. i thought the fish market would be a bit the same but it is not. Because there is no alternative way of selling fish - the bally fish market has set up a bally monopoly!.
All that time and money invested in deep sea fishing. To be reduced from making millions from all kinds of fish, to two ridiculous level zero contracts on offer that in fish and $$$ amount to 218 miserable clams for a measly $248,687. Its a complete insult. I will not deign to click the buttons. (And from what I have read here clicking the buttons will mostly likely cause an error anyway).
In my nearly four years of playing this game, i think it is the worst 'update' i have seen. It seems so counter-productive.
I dont see what was the problem with us earning millions from deep sea fishing? That encouraged us to become more and more engaged with more and more of the game - because we could finally buy some of the out of reach stuff, and have more fun with the game. And having lots of fun is ultimately a good thing for gold buying - imo.
Or maybe I don't understand enough about other people's gold buying habits. In my case, I have a fixed budget I spend every month on the game. As long as I see the game as a great form of entertainment, I am happy to spend that.
But I also want the game to be reliable. And this change is a sign of being unreliable.
Like others, I am wondering if it is time to quit altogether. But I will wait it out a bit first - and see if the powers that be come up with another, better, adjustment.
My two clams!
You have it backwards. It was a money-grabbing scam from the get-go. They are dirty. They made a PILE of real money when everyone upgraded all of those trawlers. I know I fasted a LOT of mine with gold. Their scheme was to wave huge profits under our noses to get us to spend all of that gold upgrading and fasting then when everyone was pretty much all upgraded, they yanked the rug out from under us. Took away the promised profits AFTER we spent real money. Fraud. No other way to describe it.
I think the owners/developers should learn a little something from the beginnings of the American Revolution. Here's a quote that describes a basic truth about people and the way they react:
"... all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security." - Declaration of Independence.
It's not WHETHER it will happen, it's only a matter of how long evils will be considered sufferable.
The high lvl. players jumped on this right away and made millions everyday
Low lvl. players probably didn't have the dollars to invest so watched while high lvls expanded their farms
Middle lvl. invested what they could ( probably at the expense of expanding farms), were just seeing some rewards and had the rug pulled out.
SOUND FAMILIAR?
