No customers in flower farm asking for shop products on US 1

dchen1 (US1)dchen1 (US1) US1 Posts: 993
In the update of mid fall 2016 the customers who were once asking for shop products such as pasta gift baskets and bouquets stopped appearing and never came back.  It has been half a year after gaining 30 levels and it is still not fixed.  I heard that many other players have customers for shop products but my farm does not.

My stored amount of Pasta gift basket, Floral perfume, Honey cream, and Box of soaps are almost always full.  The other 4 are usually 80% full.  I do not sell customers feed crops, farm supplies, orchard fruits, or olive oil.

My farm
Name: dchen1    Server: United States 1
Level: 71  (shop products customers issue started at level 41)
Barn storage: 1900    Average contract value: 40,

Are there any other players not getting customers asking for shop products after unlocking box of soaps and having a large supply of it?  If so, please tell me about your farm so I can figure out how to fix the problem.

@dchen1 I'm at level 132.  At this moment customers are asking for Floral Bouquets and Aloe Vera Gel, both of which I produced yesterday.  I have them ask for soap and honey cream maybe once every week to 2 weeks. I notice they do tend to ask for something I have produced recently.  I make a lot of honey cream and soap, so that may be your answer.

I still make a profit selling off any excess if customers don't ask for them.

Aloe vera gel is not a problem.  I get customers for these.  What level did you get your first customer asking for shop products?

I have no idea what level I was.  They pretty much asked for whatever I just produced.  Not all the time, mind you.  I just started another batch honey cream a little while ago and a customer just this minute asked for it.

They may be showing up when you're offline.

I honestly wouldn't worry about it -- after you level up a bit, customers don't really matter that much -- at least not to me.  I'm happy if they ask for something I need to unload, but I'm equally happy just selling the excess.  About $2million/day for the honey cream.

I don't think there is anything you can do to fix the problem, there probably isn't any... you have asked this many times and no one has an answer... customers come and go, ask for what they want... if you think you farm is broken... contact support directly... since even the Mods can't/haven't answered the why customers ask for something and not something else. and if there is a "secret" formula, the developers aren't telling either... LOL

Really don't think it is an issue, if you have too much just sell it... maybe that will help bring customers around... who knows?!  it is just a game! IMHO!
  • @dchen1 (US1) As JVD says, you have asked this many times & it is clearly not a server related issue, as several players on US1 have told you that they get asked for shop products. The neighbors have a list of items that they can choose from & the shop items are on the list, if yours are not choosing them, that is just down to luck & I doubt that the devs can do anything for one specific account if the feature is working correctly. You can try Artful's suggestion, though I have no idea if that is just coincidence, but aside from that all you can do is wait - Maybe your neighbors don`t wash & therefore have no need for soap :)

There has never been a single customer for shop products from November 2016 to August 2017!  I had gone from level 41 to 71 in those days with none appearing at all.
    How to contact support?

Unless you record your farms 24/7/365, how would you know?  Customers leave every few hours.

I never seen any customer appear, it does not matter whether it is extremely rare or never appearing, it is still a problem if I cannot make use of it.

They are extremely rare, and a lot of us miss them a lot of the time.  You are in the same boat as everyone else.  But what we've all been trying to tell you is that there is nothing wrong with this aspect of the game -- it's working the way it's supposed to for everybody, you included.  You just happen to be offline when that magical customer arrives.  The techs cannot monitor your online schedule then send the customer you happen to want your way when you happen to be in the room.

Sell what you can or want to when you see a customer ask for something you have extra of, and just sell off the overflow when you produce it.  You'll still make a bundle.  None of us waits to sell things until a customer shows up in the hopes of a percentage bonus.  And the bonuses drop so rapidly, unless you are there the instant the customer shows up, you won't get much of one, anyway. :)

I have seen some players get many of them every day.

    Hi,

As @WascallyWabbit said, the items are totally random, all have the exact same chance to pop up, the only thing that we look at is if you can produce those items or not.

If the workers are ok for some players they are ok for everyone, we have been accused a million times of rigging all the random elements in the game for one account or another, or that there is a problem how ever we never do any adjustments of the random elements for specific accounts, we don't even have the possibility to do this.

    Look at it this way:
If you flip a coin 1 million times you can get heads 1 million times, even though the chances are very small it will still happen at one point.

This problem has not been resolved in half a year, it needs attention from the developers so I created a new thread in the Developers Treehouse section.

I think that there is some requirement because it never appears at all for half a year.

See if any other players are experiencing this issue.

It seems only you see this as a problem dchen1  Wabbit answered you and the developer answered you the problem is you want the game to work in a way it was not intended so nothing is broke nothing needs fixed.

If it does not have technical problems, are there any requirements besides level and amount in stock?

Just for fun, try producing several batches of soap a day, every day, and see if it triggers a soap customer.  Might not do anything, but it also might prove to be an interesting experiment if it works.

I make 3-4 soap batches every day, I have 1900/1900 stored for box of soaps, honey cream, floral perfume, and pasta gift baskets.

    contact support: https://support.goodgamestudios.com/?g=15&lang=en

choose subject that appears to be the issue for you...

I wish you luck with support, but constantly creating new threads with the same question will not help unfortunately as you seem to be the only person with the complaint... no one else is complaining (at least here in the forum)!

Wish you the best and hope you get lucky and have some customers asking for items you want them to ask for... it is the luck of the draw to be honest... and as for requirements, not a one of us can answer that and the developers have responded... move on and just play the game... I am sure at some point a customer will arrive asking for some shop item... Some of us get more requests and others less...

    Happy Farming!!

I am not going to create another thread.  I took an issue from general discussions and brought it up to the developers treehouse.

Does anyone know the requirements for customers to start asking for items worth more than 1000 each?  I notice that customers ask for low value items much more often than high value items except for event crops.  After all these updates customers still never ask for shop products, not even bouquets, they still ask for liquid fertilizer and honeydew in extreme quantities.  The frequency of customers is 1 every 30 minutes except for the first 5 customers of the day.  I do not give feed crops, orchard fruits, olive oil, because it sells for much less than the final products they lead to and will never give any farm supplies to the customers because of the excessive quantity requested and the dip in value at this stage of production.

The customers do ask for shop products, occasionally I will get a customer asking for products such as sweet scented oil, honey cream etc.

Another thing that may help is that when the customers request for shop products generally my storage is full for that particular item.

My storage of shop products are always full, except when filling contracts, I get them back in 2 days or less.
The neighbors that come to the organic market never asked for shop products for almost a year.  A third of them still ask for extreme amounts of liquid fertilizer and honeydew which is loss making when sold directly.

They must use cookies because my shop customers ask for products that I make continually.  I make a lot of honey cream and soap and sell the excess.  I keep churning them out, and I get customers for them.

I make honey cream once a day overnight and make box of soaps around 5 times during the day.  I have 1900/1900 of every shop product.  I heard that the developers found a bug with neighbors not asking for shop products and is working on it.

I am not sure if they are able to fix it, but the most difficult part of the problem is solved, informing the developers that keep telling me it is not a problem, just extreme random chance.  Now they believe that it is an issue, a typo in the code for shop product customers.
