dockyard is good as it is
just cos GGS want to nerf it, cos they thrive on making choke points, doesn't make poor suggestions any more valid
its an artifice presented as a reason for slashing fish money - 'dress it up in a market, cant just slash fish prices tho it's too obvious (as if we dont know anyway), so lets do an exchange thing'
bottom line, they dont like that money is no longer a choke point for players because of the dockyard, cos choke points are game mechanics that require gold to be spent to overcome
i think they're very short sighted on this, as i think nerfing the dockyard is gonna cost them big time in the whole scheme of things, but they want their bucks now, so bye bye sweet lil fish moneymakers
If you take a good look at the news page you'll see it reads "We will have to do some adjustments to the Deepsea fishing area" Area being the key word.
It looks to me like they are saying they are going to move things around to make room for the new fish market.
@CrazyBigfarm55 (US1)
No, it doesn't look like that at all to me, not even close !!!
It looks like we are going to be "Spending farm cash and gold" to build a fleet that goes at sea, and brings back fish
Then we go to the special "New Casino Market" where in change for the fish we will receive "Tokens", " Fuku coins", "Lucky coins" and any other future addition that can be used by players to spin the never ending Wheels and simile-gambling games
We are already exchanging goods, things in your own words, for WoF tokens, you haven't been paying enough attention to the village I am afraid
Your comment is really beside the point, the point being that the farming environment is no longer Central to the game, quite the contrary, it's disappearing from it, the game is evolving into a gambling game, it does have some features of it already and the resemblance is becoming stronger at every update
Oh yes I know, they still call us Farmers, and have these characters and silly story on how they met and all, but it does no longer matter does it
the wording tho makes me suspect that the current selling windows in farm management for dockyard fish will be removed and the market is the only place you'll sell your fish - what's the point of two 'dollar' based exchange menus - and the market prices wont come even close to the current ones we're used to
@Corvid (GB1) there are other things that can be sold in different places... you can sell apples out right or you can use them in the bakery and sell the product for example for better profit... so I am hopeful that we can sell fish outright or make a better profit from something in the fish market... IMHO
Happy Farming!
tokens and lucky coins? nah ggs you can keep them
P.S. this nerf was something that we did expect though so i'm just glad i made billions before it actually happens.
P.S.2: I agree with Corvid, the word "exchange.... as well as dollars" in the description of the update news, pretty much is a 99% promising explanation of "direct selling removal" or "price nerf". Chances are though, that we can make more profit from "normal fishes caught from river/oleg" in the new system, but the dockyard fish prices will 99% sure nerf majorly, even if they allow us to sell them directly too, or sell them via the new market system (same as normal market for main farms) still the price of dockyard fishes will majorly drop, if you get what i mean, then expect 4000 dollars per swordfish but also 500 dollars per Sturgeon too maybe. no more 100 dollar sturgeon and 47000 dollar swordfish probably though.
Simpler said, if you could make 30mil-200mil from dockyard fishes and 2mil-5mil dollars from oleg/river fishing + mermaid bay per day. then after the update you can probably make 3mil-20mil dollar from dockyard, and 4mil-10mil dollar from oleg/river fishing. and with the market you can probably make 25% more dollars max same as normal market for main farms probably and occasionally win few tokens/lucky coin too for fulfilling market demands (tokens instead and ~same quantity as karma points, and lucky coins instead and ~same quantity as decoration upgrade parts, etc that you can get from normal market).
Expect This ^^^^^^^ and plan wisely imo.
So in total we can probably make ~max 25mil or so from deep sea fishing, but also 5-10mil more from normal river/oleg fishing + mermaid bay dishes. After the update. a Big nerf from current dollar making in total though.
P.S.3: either way i ain't payin' 100,000 gold for only one stupid village library book though, fire your marketing team now GGS(specially the "pricing" section of it, not only they messed up in pricing these fishes from the beginning anyway, but also they messed up majorly and bigtime in village book pricing too)!
Raking in as much profit as I can in deep sea before this dreaded update arrives, hoping its at least a month or two away.
i would be surprised if the adjustment was of this ilk, would probably cause more consternation than nerfed prices
Exactly !
In the UK-1 server the number of weekly active players has dropped to less than half of what it was a little more than 1 year ago
People who see this title and start playing this game had been in search for a farming game, not a Casino game.
The fact that some of the players, or even a majority of players who love to build their farms also click generously on those wheels is purely incidental. These people are not going to stay only based on wheels, they wanted / thought they were playing a farming game.
The developers are abandoning efforts to bring novelty to the farming game, desperate to find new tricks that at a first superficial look seem a nice event, but in the end are yet another flurry of advertising and offers for gold plus stuff
Get real GGS, stop cheating on your customers, show some respect
And let's have that in bold,
"hope GGS think about the players instead of the gold they can make when the fishing is changed".
Oops, and the lobsters have all gone away too!
What the hell is going on?
