WW CC Horse Tornament

The horse tournament that is going now is different for sure as was stated. But to me, there is one big problem. I understand that it's mostly pot luck with who you run against in a race but this time, I am against horses that are 40+ levels above mine. I think this is very unfair. It should be based on horse level, not the level you are on with your farm.
I always struggle to get into the gold league in tournaments and I do make it most of the time.
But this time, it will be impossible. How can you win a race when your horse is a level 63 and it's constantly up against level 115 and above. At least before this one they were only up to level 100!

Do I have to forget about doing the horses as well as all the other unfair tasks that have been placed on us recently? I used to enjoy logging in and playing this game when it was still fun and goals were reachable, now it feels more like a chore than a fun game. So very disappointed in this :(

Tournaments always start out this way, as everyone starts in the Bronze League.  It takes a few days (or even a week sometimes) for the majority of the high level horses to work themselves out of Bronze and up into Silver.  Once that starts to happen, the horses you go up against start to "level out" closer to your level, because most of the highest level horses have already pushed past you and out of your reach.

It's kinda like dumping 1,000 racecars all on the starting line of a racetrack and saying "GO!". Everyone starts all jumbled up, and it takes awhile for the faster cars to work their way through the pack and get into the lead positions. (except here it's horses, not cars). :)

You'll still run into high level horses, but they become fewer and farther between.  Just give it time.

Thanks Southern :). That makes some sense and I am used to the start being a bit hard. It's just that I've never been up against those higher levels (115+) before. I guess that may have to do with the WWCC. More competition I suppose. Will have to try harder to level my horses up I guess.
Anyway, thanks again, and nice analogy BTW :)
  • you often find that if you have say 3 horses higher than yours its always worth a shot while in bronze league as you wont loose any points, but if you wait say 24 hours those horses will have moved up to next league, the owners of those horses tend to use extra fuel and gold, its what i do and when you move up to next league pick and choose theres no need to use all your goes at once :)

You might also try not competing for 24 hours. Give them a chance to get ahead.
I'm in the reverse situation having been unable to race the first day and atm my 113 horse sees nothing higher than half his level. He's winning 90% of the time  :¬)

Mine (level 69) started out with ridiculously low horses for much of the day.  Today, it's been ridiculously high horses all morning.  If this competition is like the others, it will sort itself out soon.  Forget the levels for scoring purposes ... I lost a bunch to the lower levels, and won a good deal against the higher level ones.  It's always been a roll of the dice for me.

Progress through the tournament is solely a function of your horses training level combined with playing a sufficient amount of races per day.  A level 50 horse will get you into the platinum league (on about the last day of the tournament) if you go through 200 gallons of gas in competitions per day.  You are allowed to progress just so far through the tournament on any given day.  If you exceed that amount of progress, you will be matched up against higher level horses to make it seem as if your losses are justified.  If you have not exceeded your amount of progress, you will be matched against horses of approximately your own level.  If you wait a day or two without playing, or play fewer competitions for a couple days, you will suddenly be matched against many lower level horses to make it seem as if your "good luck" is justified.   But at any given time during the tournament, you will be allowed to progress just so far through the leagues and no further, as determined by the training level of your horse.  To guarantee being in platinum league at the end of the tournament, you need a horse greater than level 60 and playing about 200 gallons worth of competitions per day.

Not sure about the horse level needing to be 60 or greater.  I began ending up in the Platinum level at a much lower level.

Yeah, I started hitting platinum at (I think it was) level 47 or so.  But you could mess it up and get sent back down to the Gold league just before tournament end.  When I say Level 60, I'm talking about hitting platinum early enough that you just about can't mess it up.

Yep.  45 was about when I landed in Platinum and managed to stay there.  The next tourney, I didn't!  LOL!  Even at 69, though, I can't take my eye off the ball if I want to stay in Platinum when I reach it.  :)
