what i hate most about this game.....
GGS cannot seem to accept a compliment graciously.......every time something is met with "yes! thank you! great improvement!", they turn around and nerf it up, and worse, they don't tell anybody.
many farmers have been delighted with the extra income from the new fishing stuff, so what did they do???
nerfed it up
the latest is extended fishing times---have you noticed yet??
the time it takes to fish for salmon/swordfish is almost a double from yesterday.... 7-8 hours instead of 4-5
and George goes to the main farm, where many of us are trying to learn to deal with the extended wet/dry field issue
I get that games need "rebalancing" sometimes, but these are huge changes, and worse, they are unannounced.
Keep us in the loop GGS!! Tell us what you are changing--don't gloss it over or hide it. Why do you seem to think that's the best policy? You announced with great fanfare a new village building!! and production penalty from the edge plants will be reduced!!! YAY!!!
But you didn't tell us the field penalty timers would stop counting down unless something was planted.....
That's just wrong. We want the whole story, good bad and ugly like George.
And why oh why can't you test your updates a bit before releasing them?? Hmmm??? There's been at least 3 hotfix since yesterday, but it doesn't seem to bother you, just throw stuff out there, fix it later, if too many people actually like it, it's time to slow it down, reduce rewards...
okay, done with my rant

Here is some info for you, @momrulz (US1)
For the immediate future George will bring his silos around in turns ... last time was the fishy silo, this time it's the usual one, in two weeks time it will be the fishy one again, then two weeks later the usual one....
The fishing time has not been doubled. It used to display only the time for the journey going one way,
ie. A (time needed to travel to the fishing hole) + B (the time it will take to do the fishing) + C (time needed to travel back to the dockyard) = the total time,
(note: where A and C are exactly the same duration, the number that used to be displayed, the 4 - 5 hours that you mentioned)
NOW, to make it easier, A and C have already been added together for you (which is why it appeared to you to have doubled).
But total time remains exactly what it was before
Happy fishing,
Rowdy
the time it takes to fish for salmon/swordfish is almost a double from yesterday.... 7-8 hours instead of 4-5
There is only "cosmetical"
So it should be:
* Go to: 4h - 48 min = 3h 12 min
* Fishing: 3h 42 min
* Go back: 4h - 48 min = 3h 12 min
So it should be 9h 6 min total...
Let's check:
It's working good, and actually you almost don't have to calculate travel time
Look: 3h 42 min x 17 fish = 3.7h x 17 fish = 62.9 fish = 62 fish (lobsters).
Costs: 2x Roy (2x $15k) + Lisa ($39k) + 5x "Wrong" freezer (5x $31 200) + "Good" freezer ($1 950) = $235 950 .
Income: 62 lobsters = $1 123 750.
Profit: $1 123 750 - $235 950 = $887 800.
Let's compare this with "good" sailors and freezers
1h 42 min x 11 fish = 1.7 h x 17 fish = 28.9 fish = 28 fish (lobsters).
Costs: 2x John (2x $1 600) + Walter ($3 250) + 6 "good" coolers (6x $1 950) = $18 150.
Income: 28 lobsters = $507 500.
Profit: $507 500 - $18 150 = $489 350.
And for "per hour" contest? 6h 6 min = 6.1h (and 4.1h for "good" option).
"Wrong option": $887 800 / 6.1h = ~$145 541 /h.
"Good" option: $489 350 / 4.1h = ~$119 354 /h.
As you see, it was carefully double-checked
