Santa left us! back to stone age again.
It was great fun for as long as this hysterical moneymaking party lasted, dear Griff - and undoubtedly a little disappointing to say goodbye to it, of course ~ but that it would end in due course never could have been entirely unexpected IMHO...
At least I am very happy I had the chance to make such big money in such a short time - and to be honest: we in our coop just knew it couldn't last very long (didn't take too many braincells so even I could figure that one out ), I can't even imagine players really expected this DSF-making-fast-millions would last for ever ...
But as we don't know and haven't seen it yet, we decided to just await what this new DSF feature & it's market design will bring us! In the meantime all my members are very happy with the millions they made so far, so "no complaints so far" to use their own words.
your 'basic' guide was a great help to me and my coop members and
we want to say once again: many, many thanks for your time and energy!!!
Their thinking is upside down...what is right is wrong and wrong is right...what gives and why..??
Personally, I would have loved to have seen a simulated world (local server) market with prices rising and falling depending on supply and simulated demand. The prices could be recalculated maybe once a day or even once an hour depending on how much of a particular fish has been sold. For instance, if in the past hour a huge amount of lobster has been sold across the server in excess of a simulated demand, there would be a drop in lobster price. It would increase again if the amount sold in the next period is below the simulated demand.
Another option would be a slow increase in fish prices depending on game and/or fishing level.
