  • i agree totally with PCA here,  im currently on a co-op break as i changed shifts at work and  cant comit to co-op challenges,ps not looking to  join any co-op for a while, but back to what PCA said about rankings, when a co-op with just 3 players left in it can hold a top position for a long time like it will cos of its  level then this needs looking at, why doesnt the  whole ranking start  from zero  every 12 months, ok so same co-ops with loads of gold will prob end up in the same position but they will have to work for it. there is also a huge shortage of players these days which makes creating a full co-op almost impossible,i would like to see more help and incentives aimed at new/lower level players say up to level 20 to help them advance without  having to resort to using gold, reducing the cost of land plots would be great for under  level 20 players, reducing upgrade times too, a lot of players loose interest before they reach a decsent level mainly because they see they  need to use some gold to  speed things up, as for co-op village i have no idea havent seen it in action yet,

Every point New Stars have, both in time spent playing for 4 years, and gold spent, has been bought and paid for. We are still an active coop, playing our farms, and enjoying the village. How we play is up to us, as how you play yours is up to you. Happy Farming :)

    @andyhudson1965 (GB1)

Please check the part of your post I have quoted:  what you wrote is your wrong interpretation of what I wrote and I strongly disagree with it

You are mentioning a coop which is nearly 100,000 points above the coop that ranks second, how can you call this coop  "inactive" ?

I am sure you know how to look and interpret the players weekly ranking, and the 3 players you mention are always in top positions, more active than 99% of the players in the server. Do you call this inactive?  I cannot agree with you here either

I was referring to "inactive" coops, which I understand I cannot name in forum. There are so many, coops where no one is playing anymore, a collection of red dots

I am sure I am not the only one who can spot them. For example a coop with just a few players left which ranks within the top 40 coops: not one single player has logged in there for at least few months

Any coop below will have to pass it to rank higher, while if we had yearly rankings (as I suggested in my previous post), the inactive coop would fall at the bottom, while still retaining its position 30-40 for the previous year (s)

And to make things ever more silly, this same inactive coop, which is just one of many inactive ones, is also included in the ranking in the village league ... how did that happen ?  A collection of  red dots in the top 50 of the village league ?  Seriously......

While, as I mentioned, I think there is room for improvement of our current coop ranking, I don't see that the village league is any more thoughtful, it actually looks pretty much random, and I am convinced that whatever it was the developers had in mind, it didn't materialize in any logic ranking

  • I may be new to the game, but it seems overloaded with challenges! I was having enough trouble keeping up with the co-op competition followed by NPNG and trying to upgrade and grow my farms. Now these challenges come up and I can't even do that. Also, the challenges are totally unfair, the higher ranking teams are required to farm fewer of the items than the challenger. That makes no sense to me, it should start at zero. Honestly, where did they come up with these numbers, was it arbitrary or do they mean something?

I agree with the person who said they should have rolled this out slowly so we could get used to how it works before they hit us with these challenges!

The Village League is fine for me, to some extent. It's fun in the competition during the holiday. It motivates me to collect things regularly.
But I don't like the way BF "forces" villages to do the competition. The tutorial said: if you are inactive in 2 weeks, you are out of the ranking system, and if you comeback, you need to start from the bottom. And we know, in order to climb the rank, we need extremely much time! That means, we are forced to join continuously if we want to enjoy this feature.

I think it's better if we only lose some percent of ranking if we are inactive (like reputation points). Or if BF could add some features like "rest time bonus" (buy with medals, for example), that the village could relax for some days but still keep their position. And of course, we need better reward for the challenge. Because in order to win, we need to use lots of special things (besides a really hard work), at least we need a compensation.

What I like the most in BF in the past is that I can choose to play whenever I want. If I'm busy, I can forget it for a short time, and when I come back they still there, peaceful and relax. No "war", no stress, nothing that I am forced to do. I never have to worry to lose something if I'm off. Even with the project, in my village, we decide to choose good time for everyone to join, no stress. That's why I keep play the game for years. But now if it becomes a "part-time job", it may be fun in a short time, but someday I may feel so tired to stay.

Completely agree. Only one correction, the game is now a "full time" job, with not right of holidays and a lot of overtime.
I thought the this games are to enjoy, play, connect with people.
In order not to be removed from a coop, and continue to improve your farms you must to play not only every day, several times every day or/and spend a lot of money.
I was removed from a coop because I had the "crazy" idea of go on holidays. And I told them before I went
By the way I love the game but no the way it is going

Build decos on your farms that have both types of happiness ;)
  • I love this game but since the Village League I find myself not wanting to play.  It has become a JOB and not enjoyment.  Our co-op has been challenged 3 times since it rolled out - no breathers.  I just watched an opposing team member rack up 60,000 apples in less than 10 minutes - so much for the size of the baskets making it much harder to manipulate with gold as indicated above.  I would like to see this feature be limited to once a month or to just go away.  I much prefer the Co-op Challenges

Have a talk with your co-op about just ignoring any challenges.  Many are choosing to go that way.

Why do we need a  Village League ?    We  have a  Coopchallenge 1 x  in 14 days, There you can see which coop is the strongest, with or without the use of gold.
    I don't like 365 or 366 days a year to sit in a challenge.
The fun of the village is away for me
  • I would love a button to say we dont want to participate too, The amount to collect is unobtainable for us its Sunday now and on Monday we were challenged we have only completed %37.7 or challengers have only %6 none of us will make a full basket so what happens at end of week ?? non one finished or completed a basket so no awards ?? were just waiting for others to challenge us and just farming as normal from now on. why try if its impossible??

You should get SOME medals on Sunday when it does the weekly rankings, based on where your Co-Op falls (in the rankings).  The higher the ranking, the more medals you get.

this is so awesome, shouldve had a bundle of gifts etc (shared and personal - 100%) and now the next boat has docked and has nothing for me

k, im pretty sure thats me done, wont play it much longer, finish champs for the coop and prob hit the road

update: it gets better - never had an opportunity to spend my king of the hill rewards (approx 250k) - ie never showed me the spend screen or convert dollars screen, nothing) so i have to presume they were converted into village dollars, altho when i look at my village dollars, im not certain, seems pretty much the same

    so awesome

oh i almost forgot, the amphibian has stopped working for me and some in my coop as well

so new boat bombed, king of the hill rewards bombed, and amphibian has died - just a few new probs to add to the already ongoing fiasco, talk about breaking a game...

I also think that some coops are participating "accidentally" because the items in that challenge are those that the coop normally harvests anyway (milk, eggs, etc.) for their projects and tasks; and furthermore since every member is not available to the extent needed for the Village League, the available one couldn't even purposefully compete with any amount of success without expending a tremendous amount of gold to make up for the harvesting deficit created by the absent players.
I understand about the "counter challenge" and not doing the initiating, but when the coop is challenged without consent, then participation is forced.  Perhaps a button could be pressed to show non-participation which would automatically bump the non-participating coop down to a lower level.  This way the challenger could have fun with the coop who really wants to be a part of the challenge.  It is really no fun to counter challenge a coop who is not playing on purpose.

AGREED....what.. do we stop farming NOT to participate in this "Village League" ?? To Participate one should be willing to and have a desire to compete. And when a co-op needs to replenish or just take a break we should be able to do it...this is madness on your part GGS, forcing it on us. There should be a button ( as I have stated & many others before) that's says "participate or not at this time"  Pretty simple to do, you already have a program written for it, just implement it.

I agree. I am fed up with these challenges. For 3 weeks this co-op has challenged us immediately upon being beaten. There is no time between said challenges to do ANYTHING else. It's co-op championships and we can't do it. We can't build our farms, we can't do anything. I have a cop-op of @15 and 4 of us play on a daily basis. We currently have 5 wins in a row against the same co-op and GOOD FOR THEM for trying but enough is enough. There should be two sections, 1 for those who need to do these and 1 for those of us who are here to play the game.

As many have said, if we get challenged, we pay no attention to it.  We close that little side bar every time it pops up.  We just go about our regular business.  And once in awhile, to our surprise, we win.  It's a easy as that.

Our coop has had one village league challenge that was started accidentally by one of our members.  Other than that we don't start any.  We participate when another coop challenges us, however.  Our group is non-compete, so participation in CC and VL are both optional.  Personally I enjoy the reward shop and have gotten some great prizes.

Anytime there are rewards for our normal farming it puts a smile on my face!

We're non-compete as well.  Participation in anything is optional. :)
