Can anyone explain to me , why we have to play a Village League Challenge?
We have the Coop Challenge  We have a ranking list.
We are farmers, not football players

Just because you make a challenge or receive a challenge doesn't mean you have to actually work on the challenge.  Just go ahead and do your normal farming and let the challenges take care of themselves.  It doesn't need to distract anyone or cost anything, and you've got the possibility of winning some of the gem awards and a few points good for...  well, nothing really, but you will get a couple of extra Village Dollars at least.  After a few weeks, the co-op rankings will sort themselves out and you'll be playing against other co-ops that aren't so unevenly matched with your own.
  • @Vessarria (US1) @Uncle John (GB1)  & others,  That would indeed be a better suggestion, though the OP did seem concerned about "losing status" I can`t see a practical way to decline & keep your position, as it would be unfair on the coop challenging you.  Your suggestion seems much more fair, provided the challenging coop did not lose out at all , with regards to medals etc I will see if I can find out if  could be a workable idea. :)
  • Well said @buddy194 (US1) :)

Challenges only "disappear" when a coop wins a challenge that results in coops moving places in the rankings, because you can only be in a challenge with a coop immediately above or below your coop, so if one coop moves out of range, the challenge will end.

Well I have always thought that you bring new things to make players happy and increase revenue for you, I think it is safe to say majority of players aren't happy.  How crazy is it to bring something new and say well just ignore it how is that best using the game and increasing player satisfaction.
  • wow..so many co-ops don't like the village challenge.
Perhaps if we want better prizes or think its not worth it due to growing what doesn't help our farms ect then maybe we should all just stop challenging stay where we are and do nothing.. I know a small hand full will/would continue. but then they are the ones wasting there time and probably the ones buying lots of gold, which as we know is all this league is for.  sadly we are stuck participating if challenged just because we harvest, is this a trick by developers so they can say it works co-ops are participating therefore its good ?? I want an opt out button so we can totally distance our co-op from this.

Interesting how the developers are completely changing the direction the game is going in, making it into a whole new game. No longer a relaxing game to log into, enjoy and chat with your coop members. Now it is turning into more like a full-time job (as many have stated), and so many long term players have voiced their concerns, to just be ignored. This game was not originally a game of competition and one-up-manship. GGS is destroying this game. I'm sure a few competitive players enjoy the changes, but so many have just lost the game they have grown to love over the years. RIP big farm.
  • Well artful that is easier said than done,  we have people who think it is cute to hit the challenge button, does not matter how much you explain.  Then even when told to ignore it, it is a distraction for many  I am about sick to death of Big Farm.  Take this mess away.
LOL!  A member doesn't even have to hit the challenge button, another team can challenge. By "ignore," I just meant a lot of coops pretend it isn't happening when/if they find themselves in a challenge.

our co-op has had a member "accidently" start a challenge even though we all agreed to "ignore" it.. it has cause confusion and now we are all just trying to "pretend it isnt happening"

Hi, our co-Op is tenth in the League, and I think our position was only put by random... or...  I happened to be the tenth leader to make a challenge.

I know of other Co-Ops, who are above us, just because it was 'first finger first'.

Also the Weekly Bonuses do not seem to have happened, or we would be very rich by now...

Has anyone yet received a Weekly Bonus.?

I believe the positions for  the ranking into the Leagues was based on past CC placements which explains the same or similar co ops being in the same grouping.
I think it is to early into the forever weekly challenge for the "Weekly Bonuses" to be able to be acquired yet. Kind of like a work in progress as they yet to implement all the features for the Village Challenge.

Yup!!  We just won a challenge and our counterchallenge ended as soon as we moved up......and it didn't hurt my farm whatsoever........We're kinda waiting it out about challenging the next co op though.......If we're not done by Sunday, will it void that challenge and all the time we put in on it be wasted?  That is my next and current concern.......lol :s

I'm not so sure. We started at rank 5, and we are usually top 5 in silver league (last cc only like 7th, due to people being away). If that was the case, gold league players would be at the top, not silver league.

We are in Silver in the CC (just promoted to Gold). There are Bronze league co-ops above us !!!!  The placing was without doubt deliberately jumbled to promote some activety and movement. Once everybody has moved up or down to their realistic place te challenges wil drop off as they always do with ladder tournaments. (imo)

Agree it will take some time before any thing will be sorted out as @Uncle John (GB1) pointed out above. The start rankings maybe just assorted as a few of you have pointed out, but I seem to remember reading some where about them using the CC rankings as a base for the village challenge start ranking. o:)  With my mind being a bit old now it is quit possible I am mistaken  :D

I know our Co-Op is good, but I don't think we are that good..

We have held onto our place not by winning but by the other teams timing out, so at this rate we should reach our correct position in about 3 years time...

Perhaps the shifts need to be made more than 1 place at a time.   Maybe loose ten places for a defeat, and gain five places for a win, would be a better method.

were bronze league and started at 26th  I'm wondering if the amount of collectables will decrease as we decline ? we choose to ignore it because the amount is ridiculous for us.

OMG  menphus  how in the world can you be 26th in bronze  that must be very disheartening  I feel for you  that whole thing needs to be trashed  I would be in a war game if I wanted to do that and I left their other game of war just for that reason and even more of a money machine than this game also.

were now 27th no more challenges ATM... maybe they figure were awesome
its definitely disheartening I'm only level 122 and only 1 other person in co-op is level 50 out of 13 people.  although we all come together and work great in a co-op challenge it is impossible for us and I get many comments about how useless they feel as they can only contribute a few eggs with 1 level 1 chicken coop :( I have spent a lot of time telling them to ignore it and that one day they will be able to but for now just upgrade and enjoy the game.  I think the village challenges will cause a few new players to quit  as "whats the point" & "I cant" aren't encouraging words to hear for a big farm future.

As a leader I know you try to get members involved  and that thing is there and makes us all feel LESS THAN  I thought the CC could squelsh spirit  but CC looks like shining star when compared to that HILL mess  they need to take it away. WHO in their right mind thought this would be FUN needs some serious help. Good luck  keeping up morale and I wish ya the best.

yes that is exactly how it works @SophiaLorraine (US1)  we have 50 plus players and some one has to go in and hit the button.  Quite frankly have been spending more time with games I bought years ago. Building myself a new zoo if not for Japan golden would have taken time off entirely but being in a coop I need to be there for my teammates. This 27/7 365 a week is a disaster the whole thing of it leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. We have won 3 times and lost once and could care less.

No, you're not mistaken, they definitely said they were used as a base, I only query what they did with them :¬D

This village challenge has to change, when it started we were 17 members, now 2 members left us because they wanted to be in a coop that would be better in the challenges.

Sadly only 5 of our members are active, this is making it very hard to stand a chance collecting the necessary, so you have to make some changes so it will be more fair.

Maybe you could calculate how many players in each coop are active, and make the ammount of things we have to collect according to that ( there must be some kind of code that can do this )

One of our players used over 16.000 gold in our last challenge, this is Ridiculous and this village challenge thing is only so goodgame can make more money.

@SophiaLorraine (US1) The only things that reset on Sunday nights are your medals & achievements for the week, so you start collecting again from Monday. If you are part way through a challenge, that will not be affected & if you win it after the reset, the medals that you win will count for the new week.
  • @Uncle John (GB1) You are correct, there was some "jumbling" - The initial league positions were "based on the last rankings in the CC, with an additional random element"   What that means exactly, we do not know, that is all we were told.  :)

I can tell you it means a loss of players :(  we can preform great in the CC's but this has put us were I have people giving up and quitting before level 15 !  and at level 20 they are so discouraged :(  this could really damage BF... oh sigh :(:/

its players like us that are dealing with the lower levels that really see the affect it has I have had players just stop one has left for better and the  rest, so deflated saying they are worthless in a team :( I deserve a medal for confidence boosting not 25 likes in forum.

Might that "random element" have anything to do with gold? Perhaps spending gold during CC?
  • @WascallyWabbit  It would actually be possible to implement a "Decline" button but the effect of it would have to be that you immediately lost the challenge and swapped places with the challenging co-op below you. This would allow you to swiftly drop to the bottom where all dis-interested co-ops would collect. It would also mean that those who were interested in competing could move up more easily.
Agree, at the moment any player in the coop can start this. New member joins looks around challenge started again.
One was just started as the coop below us won. We can no longer see the one that was started so cant do it even if wanted to.
Also there is now another challenge there that can be started in error,

Need to change it so leader only starts these . This is a  total mess.
    Get It Sorted.
