Event's are to high in what they ask for.

I think that the Event's ask way to high a number for the growing fields and such, this is a example> the Candy event where I had to find candy all over My Farms I finished which only brought Me up to 315 of 350, but then they want over 9000 from Flyers, I have all My farms growing things and producing stuff all the time, and I can only get to a little over 1000 by the time the event is over with, So you tell Me how am I a level 52 Farmer suppose to get 8000 more to even finish the event? it just seems ridiculous to Me that they ask for that amount when I can never get that high ever, so I have to lose out on getting the stuff every time, I am betting the only way others are finishing them is if they keep buying gold and buying their way to the end, which I refuse to do, cause I wont cheat My way to the end, that is how I feel bout it.

Which "event" are you talking about?   I was thinking the fairy tale one but it doesn't involve candy.
If your talking about the finding the hidden candies…. you have to do that every single day.   You won't show the full amount until you get through the last day.
Flyers…. again you have to just play a lot.  Most of the people in my coops (the ones who show up every day) manage to always get that one.  It's the folks who only show up once a week or so that will never win it.

BTW…. hint on finding hidden stuff.  ZOOM IN to insane magnification.  (On my mac, it's hold down CTRL and use the mouse wheel.)  I zoom in so only a few inches of farm fills my screen.    Takes some time to pan across the entire farm, but you WILL find them all that way.  Even a few they actually had about 90% hidden behind a bush the same color.  They really want us to blow gold on this.  NOT this time.  Not after I did pay some gold to find one only to find it within the lines of an active house.   They gave us all a decor for free on that one.  Kept my gold. So this time, no more spending.  If I have to zoom into each leaf on every tree and bush in the game I WILL find them on my own.
  • I agree with Artmaker, if you play regulalry you should be able to collect them all without a problem. The amount you need to collect depends on your level, so if your farm is average or better for your player level & you are an active player, you certainly shouldn`t need to use gold.  -  Keep your silo, composter & mill running 24/7 & they should do most of the work.

It is different for each level. Harvesting a lot of quick crops helps, always running the mill and composter and harvesting all your stables should do it.
I needed 23,000 flyers and finished it a few days agowithout gold.

I know for me, doing missions (a ton of them) during the Cooperative Championship enabled me to get them all.  In fact I am done with collecting the flyers as well as the candy for the whole event...and there is still two days left.  I know that the higher the level the more is required.  Take heart, you have two days to get as much as you can.

I have no problem finding the balloons ect on My Farms, the problem is with the stuff from the fields and produce mostly, I am on every day when the events are going to find the hidden stuff on the farms, and I never get as high as what they want, I only get to 1000 or a lil over if I am lucky, so no clue how those other people finish them all the time.
  • I  too finished mine and I never buy gold.  I needed 11400  flyers.  However, I put everything in production including apples and cherries.  I only play in the evening and weekends so it can be done. If you are getting flower seeds like roses and sunflowers, this is a great way to gain experience and get the points needed to finish. I happened to gain mine from the championship as well. As you grow, the level needed increases.  Hope that helps.
  • Blue D, I, too, could never finish on time for things like the flyers.   Wasn't until recently that I could finish events or things like the County Fair.   I'm up to level 104 now, have 9 fields, 8 cow barns, 8 chicken coops.   Just keep plugging away until you can get some more plots of land and do more upgrading,  and keep working on that Flower Farm.   That's a big asset to be able to make enough money to buy the plots and do the upgrading to be able to produce enough on your Main Farm  to find enough flyers.
  • I'm probably not going to be able to finish my fliers in time because I have to do this thing called work. And yes I do more than check in every day. They are asking for too much.
  • I wish there was a level 7 on weekly event, but not with Deco as reward.  Level 6 is now too easy for large farms

I Log in at least 2 times a day when the events are on, so that should be plenty of time to get the produce from fields ect that I needed, but of course it is not, since they probably want you on 24/7 which I can not do, since I do have a life in the real world.

I am not in a co-op, I am alone in working My Farms, and Proud to have done all I have so far being only a level 52, I work on My Farms all the time, so not sure Why I am not able to finish the part of event from the fields and produce unless My Farms are to low and not high enough to finish the events.

This is a good site to help you maximize your time so that you can start finishing some events.  I found I did better by paying attention to the drop rates, and planted accordingly.

Well I'm going to run just short on flyers on all three farms.   BUT…. looking at the deco prize, it's kind of a mediocre thing anyway.
So big oh well.   I'm sure not shelling out gold for it.
    Maybe next time around.

I will not pay to find pieces of candy or whatever either; first time is free. Then the price they ask for help from then on is ridiculous! However, gold is the currency of Big Farm. It is everyone's choice to buy or not, use or not, but it is NOT cheating to use gold. Just sayin'

For candy, and any of the tiny hidden things… the easiest way is to zoom in REAL huge.  LIke fill your screen with normally would be about two inches of farm.  (Mac, control, use mouse wheel.)
I found every single candy last time and didn't have to use any help.   Some were in REAL sneaky spots too, but zoomed in so close, you'll find them all.  Just takes awhile to pan around the whole farm.

Now events where stuff has to fly out of fields?  YIKES I HATE those.  And it's always random.  Can't count on anything.  Pretty sure each event has at least one step that requires it too.  I don't even attempt a high prize unless I know I have days to sit here clicking.  (This is winter, not much to do.)  So the asian event this time around I knew I had a few days to sit and click.  I actually got through it early.  But it IS tough.
If your at the screen non stop, corn is easy.  Just gotta keep doing it.
If you have to be away, play around with the flower seeds.  Some of them are worth it.
For example, cabbage I think was only dishing up 2 or 3, but roses, 2 out of my 5 fields would dish up a dozen each.  So well worth it.  (I watched a lot of short films in between.)

And sometimes… the numbers they ask for are so insane, I just walk away from the game and wait for the next event.   Apples for example.  I only have three orchards.  IMPOSSIBLE to complete certain events without either a huge stock pile of seaweed, or go ahead and waste some gold.

So far I only got 1 apple orchard, not 3, so your way ahead of Me on that score, :)

I just looked at your farm.  Young blood.  You'll get there. Just pick lowest levels on the events.  Only pick the next highest as you can.   Don't worry about it. Even if you don't get that last prize, there's smaller ones every step you finish.  You'll get there eventually.  This is certainly a game of time and patience.

Yes I am seeing that it takes a very long time to get anything done in this game, But My real problem is that at My level I should be able to finish the Events on time, but My fields are not that high, I can not buy any Gold for My game , so I have to wait until I get enough money to be able to upgrade anything, so for Me it will probably take years to finish any of My Farms, I just hope I can do that before I am too old to even care, :)

Maybe try to build more stables and apples.it will help you.
  • Today I finally got the Observatory to go with my Telescope & other star-gazing stuff !

To tell you this was a simple thing to do would be the biggest fib ever -- it was agony !

I have only 2 Apple Orchards... when I saw I'd need over 10,000 Apples, I almost cried !

And then all those thousands of Alien Footprints after finally reaching the Apple goal looked

    like 'mission impossible' !

I was ready to sell my soul to the devil.

I went without sleep, I dislocated by shoulder & mouse hand, wore out a mouse pad,

ignored my cat and friends for 3 days, and even skipped going to Church yesterday.

Being a low level Farmer struggling with a level 3-skill Event challenge took me down a

    dark road.

So, Blue Denim, be careful what you wish for --

I'm older than dirt, led a sane and Godly life and now threw it all away for a Deco.

    Sigh.

I look at my Observatory now placed strategically on my Main Farm... and visit it often.

I have to... it's where satan keeps my soul...

    LOL !

I get that you were on a personal mission, too, BLUE DENIM. You're right about your Flag.

I wish there were some way I could give you mine.

As an "orange' Scot, I'll treasure it, honour your courageous people and think of you whenever I post it.

But let others take heed of an old woman's tongue-in-cheek tale of desperation in attaining

what seemed to be a Holy Grail only to find the decadence of a shallow object at the cost

of one helluva hungry cat, lonely friends and a Pastor's much lighter collection plate last Sunday!

I've now officially been over to the dark side.... BWHAAAhahahaaa.....

    LOL !
