It seems to me that having the dandy duck ponds offered to just the # 1 coop in a coopcha gives an unfair advantage over other coops for the next coopcha.  I do agree that the # 1 coop should have special or unique gifts for winning, but not when it gives an unfair advantage over others.  They already have the option to have coop apple or cherry trees that produce more, but this does not give an unfair advantage for the next coopcha.  How about coop peach trees or almond trees be offered if it must be unique.  This does not offer an unfair advantage over other coops during coopcha.

What would be nice is having a dandy duck pond being offered to the top 10 coops in coopcha.  Either way, the prizes should be levelled out if they are to be used during coopcha to help even the playing field.

  • I agree with you Katie. It would appear that ggs is favoring 1 co-op only. They might remind them selves that is not the only co-op spending gold money. They may be spending the most for 1 co-op but look at all the others added up.

I strongly agree, this would level the playing field and make it fair for the top ten or even top 5.
The way I see it is, yeah your top co-op spends a lot on gold. but if the other top 9 stopped spending money on gold GGS  would really have some issues. So spread the wealth a little more evenly.
I believe the first place team should also have the choice of special prizes for winning the number one spot.

I agree as well, Katie, Walt & Chief. I like your idea, Katie, of offering special prizes to 1st place winners that do not directly impact competitive outcomes. The playing field needs serious re-leveling to bring it back to plum. The ONLY way to do this is by allowing more of the top players a chance to compete by providing them with equal resources, i.e the large duck ponds. Equal opportunities offer hope for success; with it, there would be more leap-frogging and vying for the first place position which provides the fun of true competition. Refusal to take consideration for all competitors, creates animosity, alienation, and ultimately to a lack of interest to participate...which is never good in a market such as Big Farm. This seems so amazingly obvious; I'm having a very difficult time believing that GGS can't grasp this very basic concept.  : /
