temp island cash

Sorry all but it has been a while since I have done a temp island and I do not remember at the end what happens to the island cash?

IE: snowdollars.

I know you keep the runestones but can not remember about the snowdollars

They actually get converted into runestones, but the conversion rate is horrible.. Something like 1 Runestone for every $100 snowdollars. Or maybe it's 1 to $1,000.. I don't remember.  There was a post somewhere that listed all the conversion rates (like 50% for buildings and XX% for non-sold items like Penguins or Island Slushes or whatnot), but I haven't been able to find it.  Would be helpful to have that handy at times.

I stand corrected.  I didn't know this.  Might as well be zero, LOL!  I start dismantling a few days prior to shut down to get a little bit more back than what they give for conversion.

@artful (US1) i have heard of people doing that but i think you would actually be loosing runestones by doing it that way for example you get 240 for demolishing a level 2 field but you can make 810 runestones every 20 min by planting flex and same with penguins you get 75 for demolishing it but make a lot more if you use it so can you please explain to me how people make more runestones by demolish the farm then just running it to the end and get less for the game getting rid of it then you demolishing it your self but in the long run make way more running it to the end then you would have saved by demolishing it so if you could please tell me what i am missing that would be great thanks

@ijrosh (US1)  You are quite right, you get more Runestones by running the farm right to the end but, to do it, you are spending more dollars. Demolition gets you Runestones for free. It's a choice  :¬)

I don't bother demolishing anything but the big decorations.. The big 84 happiness ones are worth like 12,000 runestones if I remember correctly.  The rest of the stuff, houses, fields, orchards.. I just let GGS demolish those and take the 50% hit, as I'd rather upgrade something on one of my regular farms than tie up the building slot demolishing stuff on the temp farm.  Plus, as you point out, I can keep everything producing up until the last minute.

I usually make around 20-25 Million runestones from my temp farm though, so I don't even worry about losing a few thousand demolishing.

actually i just went and looked the rune circle is worth 24k so thankyou for pointing that out i can demolish that on the last day thanks and i think i should get about 15 million runestones this time and as for the money i would rather have as many runestones as i can get because i only do the viking farm so these have to last me

I compromise and demolish up the production cycle, (mill, animals, silo, orchards) so as to use up all the feed and dung producing something saleable.
Having said that, what with Steve always turning up as the Island finishes, I might give up demolition all together !!!
