you are right all clocks count down the same the problem is that the clock is started for Germany and we started 6 hours before they did so if you take 18 hours off of the clock if you are EST time in the us then you will have the right amount of time left i hope this makes sense and i hope i got the numbers right if not i am sorry i some times get things backwards

    @Jiesta (NL1)
In the US there is a glitch with the clock and the timer is wrong. Had you taken your own advice, 'to browse through the actual Santa's Wishlist Discussion thread where you will find this item many, many times posted (even the exact USA times) and explained by the more experienced players'  you would have seen that there are many posts regarding the timer clock being incorrect on the US server. Each chapter ends earlier than the clock says, the final time on the last chapter will be adjusted.
Exactly, so I can stick to my case: just read the right Discussion thread where players have warned numerous times that the clock showed a different time, and explained numerous times the difference in time zones and how to figure out the right time for yours.

So one could have known .....
Well no, your original post said :
There is no bug or glitch with the clock. We live in different time zones. GGS headquarters are in Hamburg / Germany so it is only obvious they use the CET (Central Europe Time) ....All I can advise you is to browse through the actual Santa's Wishlist Discussion thread where you will find this item many, many times posted (even the exact USA times) and explained by the more experienced players.
The statement you made about no bug or glitch with the clock  is what I was referring to.

Also, expecting players to go to the forum to find out there is a glitch with the clock is sort of counter-productive IMO. Why have a timer if it doesn't work properly? One should be able to assume if there is a timer in the game that it is correct. Casual players should not be required to read the forum beforehand in case there is a problem.
  • We have discovered that when a person has completed their list and can help others that they see a different list for people than they see for themselves.  For instance, I have a ton of apples on my list but when others look at my list they do not see apples at all.  How are the lists being completed if the wrong lists are being displayed for others.
Also I did the math for my apple list and I would have to harvest apples continuously with them all sparkled for the whole 4 days without sleep and I still would not finish the list.    REALLY!!!!

but there is not a bug with the clock like my post said the clock is right for Germany and is working right for when the timer was started the problem is that the US sever started 6 hours before the timer was started so it is 18 hours off if that makes sence

@Gumbyfoofs (US1)  Here is the answer to your question in regards to each members list is different.

"Phase 2: Guardian Period (helping others by donating products)If you finish your own task, you can immediately start helping your friends by donating products (required goods may vary and will scale according to donors' player levels)!"

@WascallyWabbit @CuddlyFoxes could someone please ask if we could have the product barn back for this chapter like we had it for last year i really do not want to use my gold to keep speeding things up to help others when i have the money to use instead so could you please ask them about it sense they have added the bakery and flower shop items this chapter and it should not be hard to put it on the farm thanks in advance and hopefully you understand what i am asking for

A new member was added when we were in phase 3 of Chapter 3, with only 3.5 hours to go.
The new member didn't log on, so we were stuck in phase 2 with no phase 1 orders to complete  :s
We removed the new member, and were restored to phase 3  :)

Also, the "Additional happiness achieved by helping other members" is not being added to the Chapter decorations.
When and where will that additional happiness be credited?

Wow gumby took you this long to figure that out,  and I applaud them for doing so cause newer players would have had an impossible task otherwise.

You have your team to help, we're not expected to do our list alone, but with teamwork. Everyone puts in to help what they can, the lists can be done.
    best wishes & happy holidays
Sounds like you are forgetting that at least one person has to do their order on their own before anyone can start helping. Now if by any chance everyone has hard order or can't play too many hours a day or combination of both then pretty much everybody may be nearly left to their own.

Not responding to you now ......
To cut the long story short cooperative of devoted players and/or gold spenders will not struggle that much to do it. Cooperative of players who have life and value their time with family over the game may struggle quite a lot. No point telling them how devoted gamers teamwork together and how easy it is when their situation and their values are completely different. This event simply is not family festive time friendly. And as usual devoted gamers have hard time to understand simple things as their values are shifted towards intense gaming. .

The requirements for chapter 4 are ridiculous especially this time of year. IF you stay at home and play this game all day during Christmas then there's a possibility of completing your list but who's going to play this game all day over Christmas?

I don't recall seeing any xmas ads of families sitting around their computers harvesting cabbage and corn while drinking egg nog and stuffing their faces with turkey? That GGS expectation is stupid and a clear indication that they are trying to get people to use their seaweed and gold. I'm loaded with seaweed, I have a heap of it.....will I waste it all for a decoration? Hell no! Why would I do that when I can get a decoration happiness 100+ from a weekly event?

That ................ thanks for a good laugh ................ I think somebody should actually make such commercial  to show the world how stupid that is  ............. :)

The game has been developed for hardcore gamers for a long time. Do you remember from Martin's personal confession why they added fishing game? Well, their Japanese sector loves fishing and GG want's to give them something so that they don't have to leave the game ............ figure that one out. How thoughtfull, hm? :) So now you know how to play from the big man's mouth himself. :)
  • I may have missed this as I do not have time to read all the posts, but my concern is that according to the info button if I complete the personal quest part of this I should earn the train cars. I have completed chapter 1, 2 and 3 and have only got the car for chapter 1.  I am hoping I did not waste all that time and effort to end up not getting the rewards.

Did I miss something in the rules? Or is there a glitch or something that has delayed me getting the cars?
  • I am also missing the decoration for completing the list  specifically the 3rd one
  • I completed the 3rd Christmas List before the time switched (which by the way ended earlier than it said I had left on the 2nd one when I was at 93% complete thinking I had 19 hours left)  But anyway, my decoration for the 3rd list has not appeared for me to place it on my farm or build it.  Please correct as I worked hard to complete everything and I seem to be the only one in my cooperative working on this.  Perhaps they know something I don't.
  • Everyone has to complete their lists if they had started them.  Otherwise you will not get the decoration.
  • Bufo (AU1)Bufo (AU1) AU1 Posts: 167
    @Draidden (US1)

Both the Quest period and the Guardian period need to be completed to receive the decoration.
So after you have completed your own order, you need to donate to the unfinished orders of the other participating members to get them over the line.

The Chapter 1 carriage is a compensation decoration for the problems with Chapter 1
  • Damaria3 (US1)Damaria3 (US1) US1 Posts: 1,737
So the bottom line Draidden is that everyone has to finish their lists or help one another do their list to get a train car for each chapter and only if you get all four can you participate in Chapter 5 snowflake gathering

  • Hello - I attempted to contact support but got an error... Kind of frustrated because of the glitches with this santa list event..  Besides not getting all of the rewards as we progressed with our happiness, our second week deco has zero happiness and NOW my personal bonus task is asking for ZERO pasta gift baskets... sigh... so a task that I may have actually been able to complete I am unable to even try!

  • @sunrise (US1)
If the whole co op didn't finish, no one gets the decoration. If all who started finished or were finished by others helping, it would be good to contact support with all the information possible so they can see what happened.
