  • Week 4 orders are out... and I'm in a pickle.... I'm level 59.  One of my orders is citrus fruits.  I cannot build the citrus orchard until level 62... Exactly HOW am i supposed to do this???????

I know you'll just say to wait for someone in my coop to help. but that's not the point this is completely unfair!   At least you could have made sure that the items are the list matched the level of the player.

  • why even put a timer up if its not going to be right. our co op lost the deco because of this. this is not right at all !!!!! why should we even try to do the other chapters ?????  i am not a happy farmer over this !!!!!!!!!!!

Good evening everyone .... I have a concern ... one of my members has a personal quest for olives ... she is a level 51 currently ... but cant build the grove required without gold ... she needs to be a 57 to buy with cash ..... I don't think this a fair quest .... so either she buys with cash .... or works like a rabbid dog to level up 6 levels ..... is this something I should tell her to sent a note to support ??

    thank you for your time
    Deb
    @WascallyWabbit :

We have a similiar issue - we have a member who is being asked to harvest Citris Fruit at level 59 - but she can't build the Citrus Orchard until she's level 62..

So there's no way she can complete the event on her own - we'll have to donate to finish it for her.
  • :) I am central standard time (CST) in the US.  So when this changed over for chapter 4 I calculated that I had 17 hours LESS..  Based that it is now 12:02 am CST that gives me 3 days and 23 hours left5 to Chapter 5.  Does this help or make sense to you?
  • :) We in the US lose 17 hours but we are supposed to gain it on Chapter 5.  (Which I seriously doubt by the way).  My co op tries to plan to get our personal lists done before the final 17 hours.  We are not playing for the co op values.
  • me and 3 other co op members had our personal list done. we was working on helping the kids list that is in the co op. nobody got the deco !!!!!!!
  • I understand that it is 17 hours less, I think it doesn't take much programming to set it as UTC as the base time and correct it based on what time zone you said you lived when you signed up. I used to do this sort of thing all the time back in my programming days, there is no need to have everyone's shown time to be off. Maybe I am not remembering correctly but I thought you had to put your time zone in when you signed up for the game, it has been awhile since I started I may be mixing things up, regardless it is not hard to make it right even without having everyone's time zone.

So when does chapter 4 really end, my timer says 4 days and 17 hours, what is the real time left?
Chapter 4 should end Dec 25 midnight EST
I think we are going to find that chapter 5 is a lot longer than the 4 full days.
As the event start Dec 10 6 pm EST
Making the first chapter short at the time by almost 18 hours. They tried to do a time adjustment ie hot fix which made the actual time out of sync with the event icon.
chapter 2 began Tuesday Dec 13 midnight EST.
This chapter was the 4 full days as was chapter 3
The event is set to run 20 full days.
Ending around Dec 30 Around 6 pm EST ** this is just a guess based on how they adjust for the hunting events, to make make up for the first shortened day. It could end as late as Dec 31 between 1 & 3 pm EST

You know Just in time for good old Santa to deliver those wonderful special items we have been so busy harvesting & donating
  • i hope the gas gauge in there cars works work like the timers do in this game.
  • @CharlieRose15 (US1) & @Southern (US1) Could you please both send me a PM with the names of the players that you are talking about, so that the devs can investigate this. Thankyou :)
  • Playing the Santa's list is a Joke. I played it all day and had one item left to fill, the game said I had 21 hours left, came back two hours later and it flipped to the next list. this has happened on all but one of the lists. the other trouble is if one player does not even start their list then all players loose out. What a joke, the list are so big for some items trying to fill them even if there is enough time of which there is not because the clock is never correct in this Santa's list, trying to help others after your list is done is a joke also because if someone never starts their list you cannot even get into their list to help them, It may be best not to even play this one at all. Unless they can get all the bugs worked out, or unless all members are kicked out that are not playing 24-7, because that is the only way to fill these list.

I looked very good and is the second wagon. If you look carefully in the first globe I was given, and I do not appear to they can buy, while the second gives me to buy it with 3379 gold, but even I finished all the requirements.

mia111 I do not understand the rule. I mean if I work for myself and fulfill all the tasks and the other members are not present, I do not receive my reward for your hard work? is not correct.
In my mission info to write that I do not have to worry about the lack of members, because each member has personal missions and members who do not participate will not be considered.

.Considering that in Romania, when I started playing I never realized that you have to select the Romania1 and I selected INT1, now I have the opportunity to change something about it without losing my account? I would greatly appreciate if someone could help me with this problem rekindle. Thank you so much for your patience.

Yes, event if you fulfill your order, since it is a coop event, not an individual one, either all your coop success or fails. If members are not present during the whole chapter they are considered inactive and they do not impede the success of the rest, so that is not a worry. But if during the chapter a member becomes active and s/he doesn't fulfill the whole list (members can help other members after they have finished their list) then all the coop fails. It might not be fully fair for all those member that do their part (are committed and do as much as they can, they do their best) while others just lay down and do nothing, but you need to agree as a coop.
And if you really want to participate in these kind of events you need to be in a coop in which all the players are committed to it. Otherwise, is better not to bother, since you will just get frustrated.

MIA  did you read my posts and what was written about chapter 5
Continuation of above post:  It was written as this (as it wont let me quote from the official announcement and cant cut and paste)  "In order to participate in this final chapter the cooperative needs to get all the previous 4 decorations 1-4.  We need to know does this mean every single person in the coop at the end of chap 4?  As stated above there may be groups who had a player come into the group later so are you PENALIZING EVERYONE or just the ones that came late  Can we have clear concise direction on how players and co ops should proceed in this situation.
So yes we have been able to add players and boot players who are inactive but will this ADDing persons who did not get there first train car bite us in the butt when it comes to CHapter 5 the engine and added happiness. I think where they say  the cooperative needs to they mean each and every player in the cooperative as that is who makes up the cooperative. Others are saying no if most of us have it we will be able to do chap 5. We need OFFICIAL verification of what you need to do chapter 5
    @Damaria3 (US1)
Yes, I read your post. Sorry I didn't explain it clearly.
The short answer is no, you coop will not be penalized even if you add/remove members to posteriors chapter.

I wanted to say that you can go to chapter 5 if you successfully complete each of the previous chapters and you complete each of the previous chapters if at the chapter end (when the snapshot is taken) your coop is in stage 3. In any moment you can remove or add members, it doesn't matter if some participated in previous chapters or not. The chapter status completion will not change even if you removed members that participated in previous chapters or you add new ones to posterior chapters. And if the status completion doesn't change, if you complete chapters 1-4 your coop will go to chapter 5, independently of its members at any moment. So overall, you can just function normally as a coop adding and removing players during the whole event without getting punished for it.

I wanted just to indicate also that you just need to be careful about the timing of adding/removing members, since if you do those actions close to the end of a chapter, then you will be punished if you cannot reach stage 3 by chapter end.

    Is it clear now?

Edit: a mod already answered. Sorry I wrote before checking: that is the official answer: you coop will not be penalized even if you add/remove members to posteriors chapter.

Since you believe it's all "a joke" you might better not play this event. There are a lot of events during the Holidays from which everyone can choose. You don't have to play them all. Maybe you can find another event that is easier to understand & more to your liking.

BTW: not everything you are posting is true, you better reread the Official Announcement of Santa's Wishlist as well as the related Discussion thread - these will probably make things a lot clearer for you!

    Happy Holidays!  :)
  • Well my list for #4 is so impossible that now I cant leave the co op to not screw them over, cant finish the list because of the holidays, so now either way my whole co op gets punished because I have a family and its Christmas? I'll be damned if I replace time with my family over BF, Bah Humbug BF..your going to lose many many players over this abomination of a event, and at this time of year is absolutely ignorant, great yuletide spirit and holiday cheer. , what was suppose to bring co ops together is tearing them apart.all done here these people have no morals, all they want is your money.

Your coop will not be punished if you leave, at least if you leave before reaching stage 3, but if stage 3 is reached no point to leave the coop (since your list would have been completed).
Before leaving your coop, talk to them, maybe between all of you you can manage to finish all the lists on time?
In my coop this event is bringing us together as we are working as a team rather than individually completing everybody lists.

Exactly - in my coop this event is bringing us together either - we couldn't complete our lists without each other's help, and did fine so far. Eagerly awaiting the 4th chapter!

Mia, Bravo for all your posts! You are a paragon of patience! :+1:;)
  • yeah 84 crops of almonds at 4 hours each is really obtainable without gold, do the math.and that's just 1 item on my list.Plus we are already on stage 4, so what are my options? spend gold right?

It is a joke. Same thing happened to me. There is a bug or a glitch with the clock. It needs to be fixed or don't have this challenge. A waste of my hard work and time.

There is no bug or glitch with the clock. We live in different time zones. GGS headquarters are in Hamburg / Germany so it is only obvious they use the CET (Central Europe Time) .... So the clock is showing the right CET time, as always. All one one has to do is subtract hours from or count hours to these figures - you can find all different times/time zones on internet.

All I can advise you is to browse through the actual Santa's Wishlist Discussion thread where you will find this item many, many times posted (even the exact USA times) and explained by the more experienced players.

Wow, that's not right, we had one member left to finish, plenty of time according to clock and poof game over. So not happy with this :(
  • You have your team to help, we're not expected to do our list alone, but with teamwork. Everyone puts in to help what they can, the lists can be done.
    best wishes & happy holidays
  • The time is too short and the list too big to even complete and it is only barely possible in the time listed. I get surprised every time a new chapter starts. There is no way of even knowing what to expect. At least with other years it was fair.

In the US there is a glitch with the clock and the timer is wrong. Had you taken your own advice, 'to browse through the actual Santa's Wishlist Discussion thread where you will find this item many, many times posted (even the exact USA times) and explained by the more experienced players'  you would have seen that there are many posts regarding the timer clock being incorrect on the US server. Each chapter ends earlier than the clock says, the final time on the last chapter will be adjusted.
  • For each part of this event it ended much sooner than the time remaining said. I just wasted 4 special cabbage seeds, because I had 20 hours until week 3 ended, but I checked my farm when the 4 hours elapsed for them to grow and what do you know it is now week 4, 16 hours early. How about having the time right for this so I don't waste special seeds and gold trying to finish the list?
The problem is where the game is located which is Germany and they use CET time.  Which has a time difference with the US of 6 hours on the east coast of America so you would have to add the hours difference to your area from the east coast.   Since I am on the east coast I subtract 8 hours to any timed activity that GGS comes up with so I won't come up short. It's not far nor is it helpful but there you have it.  I agree the lists are too long especially when you have to take in consideration that there are a few of us that are actually employed, have families and have life away from the keyboard, don't cheat at it and don't play with gold.

The other thing is that this is supposed to be a cooperative effort when other members get finished with the their items they are supposed to help fill orders of members that haven't been able to do so.  In order to get some advantage,  The other issue is that in previous years you were able to use inventory to beef up your donations.  This year only what you produce once the timer starts is being accepted which increases the difficulty of the event.  Added with attempting to do Festive Farm as well you are spending money excessively.  Add to that the weekly event and your swamped.

The only thing you can do is the best you can while you can.

  • time difference should make no difference when it said 21 hours left it should have been 21 hours left, not 2 hours, are you telling me that whoever is doing the time cannot figure that out. when it said 21 it is 21 not 2

  • It appears that the developers have not been able to or have decided not to set the game to everyone's own time.  With that being said, it is too late in the game to do anything about it.  I understand the frustration as there are only two of us in our co op and our lists have been laughable.  Yes we have resorted to using small amounts of gold as we can not help each others completely. Yes we want to enjoy other things besides playing 24-7.  IT IS ONLY A GAME.  Even when playing a board game you run into problems.  This was meant to be fun and it has been anything but ...all I can say is try to have fun and hopefully everyone will watch the clock and post times as it is getting closer.........Merry Christmas.

Exactly, so I can stick to my case: just read the right Discussion thread where players have warned numerous times that the clock showed a different time, and explained numerous times the difference in time zones and how to figure out the right time for yours.

So one could have known .....

About half of my co-op members work together and play regularly.  We were able to help the others complete their lists through the 3rd chapter and were very excited about it.  Then on the last day of the 3rd chapter, a member who hadn't played in a while came in to harvest her farm.  I rushed to complete her list, but the event ended before I could. It showed that we still had 16 hours left right before it ended.  I'm sure many of our members have no clue about the event and just stop in every few days to harvest, even though I've sent out several messages.  I really think this is unfair that we don't have a choice about participating or not.

you make no since, if the clock is counting down hours from 21 hours it should go 21, 20, 19, 18 and so on, not 21 to 0 no matter where in the world one is. it does not matter we all count backwards for time the same in all countries.
