Update Dec 8th - "Christmas Preparations Event" & Village Happiness - Discussion

Hi there, I would like some clarification please.

"Every member can decide for themselves if they would like to contribute to one of the event steps. If they already know that they won't be around for the week, they can skip the respective order. However, this also means that the final reward will not reach its full happiness potential**."

However, I have many members state that they didn't want to participate but then found out that they had inadvertently contributed to their lists because they happened to harvest what is on their lists. So now we have many members that are not pleased because they wanted to opt out, yet the game has counted things that we normally harvest towards their SWL order because they are items on it this week.

What are the steps needed to be totally, unequivocally, not participating in the event?

It would be great if we can click above percentage of players and arrange it from highest to lowest.

At this point Jules nothing sorry,  you go to the farm you are active, just do the lists as soon as one person is done they can help others and you should have no problem getting it done. Maybe tomorrow this will change as there was soposse to be an activation button but there wasnt. You can not even boot someone from the coop who has not even been there without it affecting the event.

ive had to let 6 players go , none of us are happy about this, we want the START BUTTON, we had one come online last night and she didnt even no she had started her list , we went BOOM , back down again, so we had to let the rest go. 

please get it sorted, they cant come back now til this chapter as finished on wednesday night

Moderators:  PLEASE explain if there is an opt-out before the next chapter starts, and how opting out will affect the co-op.  I did not want to participate in the event.

I couldn't see anywhere that this has been brought up so... The Christmas Event
Our co-op is up to the stage where we can help the others by donating to their list.
The problem we a having is:

eg: on my screen it tells me that a certain player needs so many pigs to finish but on others, it says they need milk and that pigs weren't even part of their list. This has been happening with different members. Saying that they need one thing, but showing it needs something completely different.
Because of this, we have one member who I was able to get to 100% by donating the rest of the cherries she needed, but because I donated Cherries instead of apples, which is what it is showing on a few other members screens, she is at 100% but can't donate to anyone.

We have all tried refreshing & clearing our caches which didn't work.

I hope I have explained this properly and that you understand what I'm saying.

Can someone shed any light on this problem at all??? It's very confusing to say the least.

In the old version, we had "Last Chance Sunday"  I think was better.  In my coop, everyone got their list finished by others within 24 hours.  Some people wanted to actually see if they could do it first.  They were denied this chance. 

I suggest going back to 7 -day format, but having 4 days to complete your list and 3 days for helping and bonus quests.

Acctually, thing are even worse with phase 3:

It is enough that an inactive member of a coop logs in and he automatically starts his list. He does not need to harvest anything.

One question: If a coop finishes phase 3 and someone logs in: does it still shoot you to the phase 2 or not?

Suggestion: as there is no start button, my suggestion is that there should at least be a start button for a phase 3 available to leader and deputy. Once the leader of a deputy starts the phase 3, no going back to phase 2 is possible. So even if an inactive member comes back, coop does not loose a progges.

yes aaabbb1, soon as someone comes online and starts to collect , they av optied in to phase 1, we all go back to phase 2, to help them, when u av donated on phase 3 , u will lose it.

u cant stop this till we get the start button

Ok so I'm guessing that we all have different things to donate to other people's list because we are getting them to the 100% level, just with different products on the same list. (Not sure why)

Also, problem solved with our 1 member not being able to donate after her farm list is complete!

That is correct it happened to us as soon as he came in our bonus changed and if you read the posts you would see that it happened to other groups as well. Also if you have an inactive member and you boot them this also changes your bonus item all items lost.

Yes, it seems so. One of our members logged in this morning and her list turned from grey to yellow with 0%.
She was asking on chat how to start the event and what to do so that she does not spoil anything for the coop, when she was allready filled up to 90% from donations.

Actually, @aaabbb1 (INT1) question was: what happens AFTER yr coop finished fase 3 and some other member logs in unexpectedly - does it then still affects the whole event (makes it fall back to fase 2 again)??

I am curious to find out about this too! Good question aaabbb1 !! Like your suggestion for the start button.

we are having same issue too plus it won't let us move on to next chapter  we are stuck . and plus  the amount is nuts  for the happiness  points also . I mean  come on here this isn't fun at all .

Well if you finished the one bonus round you are given another more difficult bonus so it makes sense that you would keep the first bonus you earned but you would lose any progress in the present bonus round two it would change.

It is not time to go onto another chapter after you finish the harvesting round one you do the cooperative bonus round and your personal bonus.

I totally agree and not everyone is going to come here first before signing onto their farm.  The directions should be clear when you log onto your farm.  And an event that causes you to boot out members for a few weeks,  or someone not to play their farm because they didn't want to participate in the event well..........there is just something wrong with that.

I vaguely remember this event from last year.  Maybe I wanted to forget LOL.  At any rate I am just doing the best I can this year and that is all I can do.  I am not letting it stress me out because I play this game to de-stress not add to it.

I am imagining a game where the holiday effort of developers brings happiness and joy to players, even maybe a nice surprise gift. Too bad this is not that game. Anyone who is surprised at the algorithm that knows what you can't produce without spending real world funds to complete has not been here long. Cooperatives cannot get a happy, collective sense from an event that can only be completed by culling casual players from the team. If we keep spending these grabs will only continue and worsen, how do you plan to communicate with GG if you do not like it? There is one sure way, with your purchases.

That is exactly what I want to know, too . For now, we are waiting with our bonus phase, as we are expecting last two members of our coop to log in today.

Another issue is that we have  an event very similar to last year´s in what concerns the requests made, but half time the to complete it, last year the event started the 23th November.

Hello I have some questions and I was hoping to find answers for them in here Sorry for any mistakes, i play polish version and therefore i may not be exact with some namings

Firstly about joining members into coop. 2 possibilities:
1) coop has done first coop product and is doing second mission. New member arrives and collects something. Does it move the coop back into phase 2 and they lose progression only on second product or they also lose the point for first product finished?
2) member joins coop during chapter 2. Does it affect coop in any way? Will coop be turned back to chapter 1? Or it is just a problem for that member that he wasn't here during chapter 1 and he won't have rewards for that?

And another topic:
I don't understand those decoration thing. So there are 5 chapters and we will get 5 decorations? Each deco starts from +7 and we get more and more by completing lists of products ? How the personal bonus for donating affects my decoration? When does it happen? I currently have +32.68 happiness on my deco, +1,48 for helping out. If the chapter would finish now, how much happiness would my deco have? And does in any way this what I do in chapter 1 affect my happiness on decorations for next chapters?

if u donate to the coop phase 3 and someone comes online, not started phase 1, if they start it, the team loses all the co op crops on phase 3, then u go back to phase2 to help that player to get to 100 %, then u go to phase 3 again. the crop changes as well when u go to phase 3.

yes I know we lose progression on a product we have on the mission. But if we finished first mission (e.g. wild flowers) and we got +1 point for it. THEN he comes when we do already NEXT mission. Will we lose only a progression for that ongoing mission or also a point earned for earlier finished product

Question.  Once we get to Stage 3 with the bonus quests.  If we are unable to complete either the personal or co-op bonus quest, but have started it, what happens.  Are we at this stage forever or is there a time period?  And can we go to next Chapter at some period of time.

As far as I can gather from other co ops asking the same thing , if you boot the player it resets phase 3, if player just logs on it starts them in the event, no harvest required.
