contracts
i understand there are 2 types of contracts---limited and regular
limited are self-explanatory, you have a limited amount of time to complete them
but the regular ones --> supposedly no time limit
but sometimes there is!!! a couple of times i've had pop-ups that say "time's up! use gold now to finish this contract or forfeit everythng you've sent so far!!" well....i wasn't expecting that and not sure what triggers it--- a coopie told me if i contribute at least something towards the contract each day, it won't time out. Is that correct???
so instead of spreading myself thin, trying to work on all the contracts, and having them tell me "time's up! pay gold!", i decided to try and concentrate on 2-3 at a time, leaving the rest with zero items contributed....that seemed to help until i finished a contract and began to work on one of the old ones. Then lo and behold, I send them a bit of stuff and POOF!!! I am told i have only an hour to complete the contract, or else, yep pay gold or lose my stuff
what are the triggers for these hidden timers? what is the best way to avoid them?
thanks
Comments
the contracts i am getting almost all ask for more than i can do at once.....my current max storage is a little over 1K, most of them ask for more than that of at least one item......so you have to do it in stages
or else like you said, just delete them and hope for something easier
some items take a long time to finish......fruitcakes with cream anyone hungry????
contracts seemed to be a good way to earn the dollars i need, but not if they time out on me....
still looking for a better way to manage them
i swear it happens, two different kinds of "time outs" one is an old not-quite-done contract that perhaps i have not added to in XXXXX hours.... i want to know what the XXXX is
then it tells me i must pay another farmer gold to finish it for me now!!! because time is up!! or else lose everything i have already contributed.
the second is a contract I chose not to start yet, the contract sits there, with zero contributions made by me.
It can sit with zero contributions for days, but when I make my first contribution, it switches to "one hour to finish"
I swear I am not making this up
The standard contracts are different: they sit there untill you fill them or decline them, no matter if you add anything or not.
So BOTH type of contracts will sit there forever if you do not add any product.
The difference starts when you add first product: standard ones will stay and limited ones will expire in one hour.
So you have to distinguish between these two types of contracts before you start adding anything to them.
You can easily destinguish limited contract from the standard one by two things:
1. Limited contract have the clock in a botom left corner (the clock starts counting when you add first product). Standard contract do not have a clock.
2. When you open a contrat, type is seen at the top: it says standard contract or limited contract.
The idea with the limited contracts is that you prepare all the products that are needed and than fill the contract in one go (for example: if it wants eggs, have you stocks filled with eggs and ducks ready to harvest). If you are unable to fill the contract in one go, better decline it before donating anything (by pressing the button with the trash on it).
momrulz look here: i got all contracts for a long terms, but you get sometimes contracts which has a timer on it to that place marked by me. Those are the contracts that expires in 1h if you donate products to it, so you have to look at what it asks, do you have those products? Yes! Then roll it. You do not have all the products, what you can do? You can buy some of those which are cheaper (like wild flowers, cabbage, corn, pigs), but if it asks for more milk, apples, cake etc than you can store and collect, then you should give it up.
To that contract marked by me it asks only for milk - 25k- (it's a long term contract), but let's say that it would be an short one, i could never complete it in 1h so I would be forced to delete it. But if it would have been asked for 5k eggs there it would be no problem because my ducks were ready to be collected. Hope you get it now!
PS: When i've said to buy those products that are cheaper i meant that if it asks for e.g 4k wild flowers and your store is only 1,5k you donate what you have and buy the rest then donate them to complete the task. The same i will do too, i just need to complete the apples, the rest i can buy it and donate it because the cost of buying them does not exceed the sum that i will get.
as usual for standard contracts I use to fill what I have even I have not everything on one of the contracts and work on that product till I end up
this time I got an error while filling corn but not full
''error code 4, PBMainmarketDonateResponse''
Any idea why this happen?!
however I filled the contract after I harvested more to have full to donate but it is not normal to have this error while filling less..
