Setting horses free

I bought a new horse thinking that if I set it free it would run loose on my Horse Ranch - but it is no where to be found.  So what would be the reason for setting a horse free then?

Oh Darlene, I'm afraid that horse is still running and not even looking back :(

When you set them free they disappear from your stable for good.  Since we have limited stable space, a situation may arise where you want to buy a new horse but do not have space available, and setting a horse free then enables you to do that.

Especially when you have higher level horses, you may find one or 2 stuck at awkward levels, not really suitable for breeding, but preventing you from using that space for a horse that might suit your needs better.

This handy option allows you to solve that problem.

    Regards,
    Rowdy

Thank you for answering my question.  I won't be buying anymore horses just to set them free!
