Update Sept 20 - From Test to Reality - Discussion

@BFDSS, I agree.  All this bouncing around all over the place just to check on things or do simple tasks is one hot mess -- and some of it will be impossible to do when doing some missions.  I used to kill time between harvests -- training the horses, checking on other farms, filling contracts, etc. -- but won't now when a mission is running.

I love that the layout on the test server has been finally brought to the normal servers.  One thing though... before the new layout was implemented I had $115M .. today with the new layout, I have $45M!!!!!!  What the heck happened to all my cash?

Hi, Darnchts, you'll find the rotate and move buttons when you click on the upgrade button.  Took me forever to find them.

Well that's a pretty silly spot for them. Thank you for letting me know. I would never have thought to look there.

Flower farm was my pride and joy. Now It's just a big mess!!!! All my decos are gone. No more happiness,
My buildings don't want to fit, in the small space I'm left with. Just a nightmare.

GG needs to restore all our farms back to their original condition prior to today's update.  This is a disaster.  I am still not sure what all I have lost, but I know I lost all my penguin feed.  I have lost the majority of my decorations on my Flower Farm.
--months and months of work and money.

PLEASE restore our farms back the way they were and make sure this type of disaster does not happen again.  I want my farms back like they were until you get this fixed.

I was all set to call "Epic Fail" on this when I first logged in. My Flower Farm was stuck and I couldn't access the ship because of it. All my "stuff" on the Viking farm was gone. I've got the Flower Farm and ship situated now, and I assume you are all working on repairing the missing goods on the Viking Farms, since that seems to be affecting everyone. So I'll let those two issues go for the moment.

However. There are two other issues that I think are NOT improvements over the old arrangement. I think it was a mistake to move the Produce button to the spot that is reserved for the Finish button. I think that will cause more pain and anguish in the long run. Also, now you can't see how much feed you have for the stables unless it is not currently producing, which means you have to go into the inventory screens to see what you need to produce in order to plan ahead. MUCH more time required. Also, it isn't as easy to tell which feed you are using. I have a hard time telling which feed it is just by the picture, as they are quite similar sometimes. I supposed I will get used to that in time, but the produce/finish superimposure I think is a problem.

The second issue that I think was not an improvement, was to move each "global" item onto a specific farm. It is too hard now to tell when things are finished, and much more time and effort is required to access them, especially since you now have to check them manually to see if they are done.

I cant understand what you mean by the Produce and Finish button. I also do not like that I cannot see how much feed I have without going to the farm management tab.

The deco from the design tool on flower farm seem to go to your storage when you exit the app, unless you place them onto the farm. Check the end since the order is last placed at the end, not sorted by size/value.

To water trees use the multiplayer features button on bottom bar of any farm, then click cooperative, second tab is members, once click any co-op member's name on the list then select "Go" on the member popup to travel to their farm to water. After the first one, you can use the member list below to visit others. (Just like before changes.)

There has been a thread/post started about all the changes the update brought. There will be a hot fix tomorrow some time to correct the missing items from the Viking Farm and the Flower farm. Not much can be done about it today.

Tomorrow. So now we will have lost a full day of production on the Viking farm due to missing materials. Its hard to make this farm pay at best and now we are loosing time.

I also have Red Exclamations every where on my world map. What do they signify and how do I make them go away?

Is there an update quide or walk-through explaining all the new features an how to use them?

That upgrade needs way less amount of products to make that cake. Go to the bakery then click on the info buttun and swith between level 8 and 9.Then you see the difference. I am not saying it makes a lot of sence or making more profit or not. 
But those are the numbers. For calculating or it is making more profit or not i need to do some calculations. And maybe it is a bug. 1 of many after this up-date from today

Lets give it a few days and see what they can fix or change.

The Red Exclamation mark is just to let you know some thing is happening or has happened in one of your areas.
 No there is no guide or walk-through for the game let alone the new features. This is where the forum comes into play. One of best resources that I have found is "Larino's Corner" https://bigfarmtips.wordpress.com/
 No doubt there will be many posts about the new features and how and what they are and going to be used for. I suggest you check here on the forum for more information in the coming future

On Flower farm all are on layout mode.
From the old layout 5x(10x10) for a complete farm they put in the inventory all the buildings, decos, fields that were there and gave you another 4 pieces of land at the left side of the old arrangement + 1 at the end of these 4.
Put back whatever you can do (temporary) click finish with layout mode and then all the buttons are working and you have the access to the ship.
On mine was working

I think by in large ggs have done a pretty good job, love the new ring menu, all seems to run quicker ,lost 17 mill putting my flower farm back but much more to go for , personally I like it

I like it especially the village and become the horses, it's still not easy to find, but that went fast.
There coming tomorrow a fix for the bugs I read.
Compliments for the creators.
 What I do regret that we can no longer see when we put the mouse on the apples, how much ferti, seaweed and premium ferti you have..

Me too - couldn't get all my decos back on flower farm as changed from square to L shape, and I've lost my Viking island inventory too. Wish these GG guys would stop making a mess of everything. PLUS - it's more of a pain going to different places like horse farm. Don't see anything I like with this new update. Nearly logged out and stopped playing. Feeling frustrated. came back after 6 months off, and my library isn't correct. Have they fixed that yet? NO! Even though I submitted a request to the supposed help.

Ugggg, HATE the new update. Extremely difficult to get around, can't find anything, and why would you make the horse farm separate. Can't figure out how to visit the people in my coop. I really hope you get enough complaints to change it back or it's time to find something better.

This update is no good. I have totally lost the overview of how it is with the ship, my mine, the horserace´s and the greenhouse. This overview is vital, but now I have to use a lot of valuable seconds to search and find. Give these things back to me please. Maybe you could instead move the bookshop, and some of the other not so often used things on the main farm. Good things are the new ring and the new options for land. I am sorry I was of no help to the testenvironment, due to the difficulties with logging in to the forum.

I'm not sure about your Flower Farm but mine is or will be a rectangle 9 x 4.

I like the new setup except - What happened to all my supplies and products on my viking farm? That was disappointing seeing everything back to "0"

It doesn't let me load to ship or close the building and decoration view box - it gets stuck in the flower farm. This new design is more complicated than ever should be, and terrible. It doesn't let me close the decor view and I can't play game. It removed my viking ships! and it removed many of my decorations!
