Opinion - Cooperation System is a MESS

On the INTERNATIONAl1 Server there is 66975 members and 5324 co-operations.
67000/5300 = 12.6. It meant that there is only max 12 members per coop.
On the Test Server there is 26462 members and 4129 co-operations.
26000/4100 = 6.4. It meant that there is only 4 members per coop.
All co-ops are looking for members and nearly no one can find any. A lot have just gave up.
Some are trying to steel members from other co-ops.

Top 20 co-ops have anything from 42 to 70 members and 15 of those are looking for members.
On Test server Top 20 co-ops have from 12 to 24 members at moment. So far not looking yet for new members as
no research have been done so far.
Then there is the Language problem.
Most of the time you have a limited amount of members that understand you.
Can something be done about it.
- Can co-op merge with one another?
- Can it be made more difficult to create new co-ops?
- Can it be easier for new members to find a co-op when they started so that they are not forced to make a co-op? - that is how my co-op started.
- Can anything else be done to sort out this MESS?

My co-op is Stuck on the level it is.
With 10 members when I need 18 for research.
Not doing any more projects either.
- That is just another opinion.
Andy, at least on the GB1, server people speak English. One less problem for you to worry about.I agree that for new beginners it is hard to find a coop, as they looking at the wrong place (should use that "Multiplayer features" button instead or the forum). But many, and I do mean many higher level coops accepting lower level players.
And I don't agree that its unfair that higher ranking coops are not willing to accept low levels. They do, but usually after level 20-25..maybe a bit higher. But if to be honest, how often do we see ppl trying this game, reaching lv 20 or so and then, when it becomes a bit harder they just leave? To reach lv 20-25 is a very easy, anybody can do it in a couple of days, but that's where it also get serious. How many people join the coop, get their gold reward, then become *red dot* and never come back? Way to many..so it is not to much to ask to level up a bit and actually see if this game IS for new players liking and IF that farmer gonna stay at all.
If people are genuinely looking for a coop to join, they need only read through the descriptions of coops marked as looking for members, to try and find one that matches them best.
They can also join the ones marked with the open lock (such as shown in the screen shot) without even applying - it would be hard to imagine something easier than that.
They might also, when applying, take the trouble to send a personalised message - I will usually allow even low level members the opportunity to join us if they at least make a little bit of effort with their application. This tells me that the person is at least somewhat serious about the game and not just wasting the coops time, taking up space until they have to be removed for inactivity.
Also, people are (how to put this delicately?) ... unusual, sometimes. They mark themselves as looking for a coop in the ranking and when approached with a nice letter of introduction and invitation, almost none of them ever bother to respond (not even to say, no thank you, I'm not interested).
It is a very frustrating task at times, to build a successful co-op
I love these ideas! Some new projects would freshen things up and the coop market sounds great! Here's hoping these thoughts become action!
And is also nice even when they apply to our coopbut not accept the offer to become a member they send a pm and thank us for the opportunity given but they rather go to another coop.
Also we think that joining a coop is a quest or task that comes to early in the game.
IMO it would be better from level 25 to have that task. In that time the player had the time to discover the game beginnings and how to run more or less his / hers farm on a proper way.
And also the new lower level members are sometimes to affraid to ask the other members for help by the chat or PM. It seems they think we have that huge big farm with a high level since day 1. I always tell then that i was a small farmer also 2 years ago,and that the other players helped me also a lot.
People whoom are asking questions are getting clever peoples. And will be good coopmembers in a while when they notice that their questions are awnsered and not ignored
I truly don't understand why someone would join a co-op only to get booted out because of that one reason....
I also agree with you boer bartels, it would be better to at least a level 25 before looking for a co-op, so they could get a better feel of the game to see if they are going to love it and play it and how often they play.
amandaps also said and I agree that it (can be) very frustrating task at times, to build a successful co-op
There is a lot of trial & error in this game... it can be forgiving and also costly...like real life ~ It's how you play it. Learn from your mistakes, make changes when needed and help others along the way.
Being a Co op Leader I have discovered that some players want to learn and really enjoy the game. Others not so much. This game is not for every one
We as a co op just recently change our policy as to the level of players we will accept, as it takes a lot of time to hold hands of a new player and try to teach them every thing about the game. One simply can not do this in a short time frame. I do and will take the time to help out any one who asks for my help but I only have so much time my self. :0
One of the biggest reasons there are so many co ops is due to the fact that at level 16 you can join or start one. As mentioned, most new players have no idea where to find a co op or what kind of co op that would be good for them.
I urge all any small co ops, with fewer members than 10, to really take a long hard look at whether or not they want to continue as a small co op and try to build up or join a bigger one that has already done all that.
I do agree it should be harder to start a new co op rather than joining one. Try joining at level 15 but make it so one has to be level 25 or better to start one.
I for one like players who have not reached the level (30) were they can opened the temp farms, as these will really slow a players progress if they do not understand how they work, let a lone how much they cost to do.
