Missions: shelving requirement

How is shelving requirement determined?  by farm level or rep point ranking/scores?

does the shelving requirement increase OR decrease as you level up or gain more rep points??

It is 27 minutes worth of production of that item for your farm (pro-rated).  For example, if you were to have 1 lvl 1 field (15 corn per 5 minutes), you would collect corn at a rate of 3 corn per minute, so you need 81 corn to shelve.  However, if you had 10 lvl 6 fields (20 corn per 5 minutes), you would collect 40 corn per minute, so you need 1080 corn to shelve.

I point you over to: https://community.goodgamestudios.com/bigfarm/en/discussion/comment/2998596/#Comment_2998596

And to test, I did a mission (it happened to be corn).  Since I have 1 lvl 8 field and 4 lvl 7 fields, my corn production is 22 + 4 x 21 = 106 corn per harvest.  106 / 5 x 27 = 572.4, and the game said I needed 572 corn in order to shelve.  So this formula seems to be correct.

@Damaria3 (US1)  Pietral is correct, it is how much you can produce in 27 minutes (excluding books), but it is also true that there appears to be a bug in some cases, so if you have come accross any numbers that do not work out correctly with that formula you can post them on this bug thread.

Thanks sissors this has been debated and players talking numbers and not adding up so they must have encounters these bugs. I use sometimes but never really look at others but some take this very seriously.
  • Does anyone know how the amount is determined a farmer needs in order to shelf a mission?  I thought is was determined by your farm level but I see other farmers in mission that are at a higher farm level than me and able to shelf their mission with less than what I am required to achieve.  Wondering how this is fair.

i think it is supposed to be based on what you can produce in 29 min but even with that some of them do not make sense to me but i also could be mistaken too just think that is what i read somewere
  • agreed that a bunch of the amounts required don't make sense, for example over 2300 alfalfa required to shelf a mission seems a little much to me.

    Appreciate the feedback ijrosh :)
  • I was noticing this myself.  Seemed strange.  Oh well just playing for the freebies and because it is -20 here in MN.  I DO NOT want to be out in the cold.  Thought I would kill some time until spring..LOL!
  • don't blame you UserPkmwg1,  wouldn't want to be out in the cold either.

Love the picture though.  Snoopy is my favorite.
