I was right behind you with the complimenting, Gavin.
I'll kick you and then turn around so that you can kick me right back - we deserve it.
But old George is also lurking there in the background with his Hardworker Event.
Is this a bug? Or does the number 1 gets all three rewards, the numbers 2-5 get two rewards and the numbers 6-50 get the last reward..?
It is not a bug. Number 1 gets the 2x2 deco (kite), the numbers 2-5 get the 3x3 deco (harvest boxes) and the numbers 6-50 get the gold mining license
Am I correct in thinking this way? Because if I am, I'm aiming for the 6-50 position haha.
Edit: I have another problem with this event and I don't know if it's a bug or on purpose. First I had to collect corn, well okay that's easy. I had about 30 min to collect as many as I could and then it switched to milk (note that I was collecting corn non-stop). Well milk sucks, especially if you're a relatively low level farmer with just one cowshed, which I already started production with before I saw this event. Meaning I can't use it for the next few hours. Luckily I have one goat shed and enough goat food to start two productions. After I collected the milk my Hard Worker Event finally got going again, with one point per second. And the timer said something about 1 hour and 30 minutes? So I figured, I wait this out and just start the last goat production. With around 20-30 minutes to go I collected the second and last batch of the goat milk. And what happens? The timer went up to 1 hour and 40 minutes!
Now I'm stuck in this milk phase even longer. So my question is: Does the timer go up every time you collect the items the machine needs? Because if so, then why didnt my corn timer go up. I was earning a lot of points in that phase but it just kept counting down. Now I'm worried if I collect more goat milk, the timer will go up even more...
Have a good look at the meter (that opens when you click on the hardworker event). It is divided into productivity levels 1 - 10. Each level requires the harvest of a certain amount of product. Once you've harvested the required amount, you enter the next level - which will add to the remaining time as well as increase your points per second. The required amounts as well as the increase in time, depends on the product you're harvesting and is not the same for all.
You will want to earn the maximum amount of points per second for as long as you can - this requires some strategy and planning and tweaking. For eg, for overnight it is very good to have milk going at 3 or 4 points (while you're sleeping).
You have the option of skipping a particular harvest at any time, if you really don't want to do it, but that requires you to spend gold. Just click on the blue forward button. Be warned, the amount of gold needed to skip forward increases every time you use it.
Good luck to you
Answering your questions, any deco not marked as S (special) can be upgraded in later levels with cash, gold or deco parts when Greta is visiting the farm.
As long as you don't move to the next gauge level the timer will increase every time you collect the requested item. In each gauge level the timer will increase less and less until it will be almost impossible to keep up. There is a nice explanation here https://bigfarmtips.wordpress.com/2015/07/11/no-pain-no-gain-georges-silo-event/
If you want a new product either you wait until the timer runs out (do not harvest the product) or skip it using gold (you will also lose the remaining points you would get if you wait, but you can start the next product earlier).
I did not explain that part well
Keep it in mind when you're planning - sometimes you might want to stay just under the next gauge level, for various reasons. Sometimes quite the opposite
But I'm sure you'll figure this event out soon enough
When you start the event, the first "Crop" is ALWAYS Corn. Doesn't matter if it shows Cabbage, Rutabaga, Wheat, Milk, or anything else. The crop it shows on the silo before you start the event always slides off and the 2nd crop is always corn. So ignore whatever the silo says BEFORE you start the event, and just worry about Corn.
After Corn, then it starts being random. But corn is ALWAYS the starting crop. (Just like with the Fishing HWE, the starting crop is always Oysters).
