Hey everyone,
you think we're already done with the celebrations? Nope, never, no chance! Say "Happy New Year", because we're kicking off the year of the monkey with our Chinese New Year event!
The Chinese New Year festival, also known as the Spring Festival, is traditionally celebrated in China on the days of the new moon, usually in January and February. This year, the year of the monkey, will start on the 8th of February!
Now you can have a glimpse into this century old tradition and all its myths with our new event: Collect the 12 animal signs of the Chinese zodiac, and win cool prizes!
How does it work?
The main goal of the event is to unlock all pieces of a new decoration, the Chinese Fire Monkey, to celebrate the upcoming year of the monkey! To do this, you'll have to collect chips, representing the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac. The more chips you collect, the better the value of your Fire Monkey decoration will be, and the more details will be added to it!
And you'll also be able to earn cool activity rewards along the way.
Collecting zodiac chips
You're collecting zodiac chips representing the 12 animals of the Chinese calendar - rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. They will be dropped while you're working on your main farm.
By collecting the zodiac animals, you will be able to upgrade your monkey decoration! With further expansions, different benefits are unlocked, for example will new elements be added to the decoration itself, happiness will be added or the decoration size will be reduced!
Activity rewards
While you'll collect all kinds of zodiac chips during each day of the event, you can earn exclusive zodiac chip flags each day, by making sure you'll collect the zodiac chip of the day. Each day, two zodiac flags will be offered: one reward for finishing 50%, and one awesome flag for collecting 100% of the asked amount of specific chips a day.
All activity rewards will change on a daily basis, and each day will be themed after one zodiac animal (except for days with decoration rewards instead of flags, which will offer random zodiac types. These days will offer a themed decoration reward instead of flags, and all collected chips will help you achieving this task.
Example: Day 3 will have pig themed zodiac flag rewards, as well as pig chips packages. The progress will be calculated by all pig zodiac chips you collected during the day.
Zodiac Boosters
Need more zodiac chips? During the event you can obtain boosters. These increase the guaranteed droprate of one zodiac animal each. Zodiac boosters are available through the zodiac wheel, and can be purchased with gold and Dollars.
Fireworks booster
You want even more chip drops? Keep an eye out for the New Year's fireworks on your main farm! If you harvest during this firework, your chip outcome will be three times as big as usual.
Valentine's Day
Not only will we celebrate Chinese New Year, but there's also another special day coming up: For Valentine's Day, we'll hide cute balloons all over your farms! Here's hoping you'll find them all, to win a romantic swan boat decoration and a new flag!
Additionally, there will be special event offers in the shop during the event, to help your farm getting into a lovey-dovey mood.
New Horizons
On occasion, during the time of these events Frida will offer special horizons! You can expect 2 new and exclusive Chinese New Year's horizons and one Valentine's Day horizon.

- One booster will increase your droprate for a specific amount of production cycles
- You can only get one booster a time.
Fireworks booster
You want even more chip drops? Keep an eye out for the New Year's fireworks on your main farm! If you harvest during this firework, your chip outcome will be three times as big as usual.
- A new indicator near the happiness bar will show you whenever a firework is active
- The indicator will also show the remaining time for the fireworks booster, and will give an explanation tooltip
- The event object on the marketplace will also show a fireworks animation during the booster activity, as well as a tool tip

Bugfixes
Mysterious seeds don't work under some circumstances - fixed- Breeding goods should now drop for max level gardens again
- An issue regarding rewards for the marzipan task on the candy farm has been fixed
- Various inappropriate/long/broken videos should have been fixed or removed
- All bakery products are now available from level 31

we have just updated the game client in order to fix the following issue:
- Chinese New Year: When staying logged in throughout midnight (CET), the progress display for each zodiac would falsely display double the amount of progress until the next reload of the game.
Please reload the game, using CTRL+F5 after clicking the address bar in order to update the game to the most recent version.
