Darn it. I thought you'd get a cute little snowman with the final happiness you manage to acheive.
So I get a snow family at level 43-44 and I don't need to get more snowballs after that?

Is there anyway to make it unhappy so I can get the deco I wanted?
Rather have a yellow snowman than a snow family :(
    SHEEESH....
I'm with you. :) Had similar thoughts. If I could chose, I wouldn't go for family. :):):)

Ahhhh ... just made level 53 and it's 2088 snowballs to level 54  -- going to bed now!  Sweet Dreams of sugar plums dancing in my head ...  :D
  • HELP There is something wrong with my snowman. I managed to collect enough snow balls to get to snow family and 44 happiness, but now that the event is finished I have not received any snowman and I am still getting snow from the fields could some one please fix this I attached a pic of Rudolph's book, if I click the button I simply get an error message

    53.  I might make 54 in the next hour.  The gap after that is 2800 from 54 to 55.

    Steffi, et al.,

You did well on this event.  It is important to give praise where it is due.  I hope to see more mini-events similar to this one.  The "curve" is a little too steep.  It should be a little easier to get it a little higher, but overall: good job.
  • YAY, I reloaded the game in another browser which fixed the problem

If you are still getting snowballs then your event has not finished yet.

I agree with Gavin ... this was a good little event.  It would be nice to see it again as the Advent calendar goes on and we could try to earn other snowmen.  I would like to have the snowman couple too and I know others have mentioned they wanted the lesser snowmen as well.  So, please, can we do it again?  o:)

I ended up with a snowfamily valued at 53. With a bit of cash laid out got it up to 65 which isn't bad for a 4x4 which can still be upgraded again later with Frieda.  I only used gold this morning to pop two fields  ss cabbage when at 28 gold each for hawaii event.  I did a lot of wildflowers, some roses, rice (for coconuts), and sunflowers overnight.  I bought up corn and cabbage to free fields.  It was hard work but in the end I am happier than I thought I would be.  I don't want to place it yet but still good to have on hand next time I rearrange a farm.
I prefer events which have a known goal.  The never ending Snowballs was frustrating and considering it was mixed in with Event, Island, Christmas List, and trying to run a profitable farm was more burdensome than I cared for. I would do it all over again though. lol  ; - )

  • I ended on 53 too, had to speed up 2 fields of rice in the final minute for 80 gold each but that was the only gold I spent, very nice event GGS, just long enough to get a strategy & not too long to get bored or take up too much time with my fields.... In fact it ended just in time for me to switch to cabbage for Hawaiian event... Thanks that was fun! ....... I agree about the different decos, maybe it could be done so that if you reach the last deco you get a choice of which one you win with all your happiness on it, as they are all 4x4 .

@DoctorX (INT1)  Glad that reloading your game fixed your snowman, your screenshot was definately weird, because it had a buy button instead of green check mark, as though you had not started the event, but it was showing the snowman family lol ... I guess it wouldn`t be a BF event if there wasn`t some weirdness thrown in hehe

With this mechanism the only way to get lower visuals of snowman deco is not to play the main farm much while the event is on. Which is a bit daft. What do you think? :)
  • Zuko (IN1)Zuko (IN1) Posts: 594
But then the value of the deco will be so less
  • why did we received just the highest snow deco you reached (snowmancouple) in our inventory and not all the snowman deco's we passed to get to the highest before the event was closed.
I mean, how can I earn all the other snowman deco's now.
I like to have them all but I think the others are for next year :'( ???
  • I like the mini event within the overall Christmas Advent Event. Was fun to do, hope more like it come along. :)

Yes, I too would love to have all of the snowman to decorate my farms, maybe even 3 of each so I could really have a lot of snowmen on all of my farms!   LOL   I have the snow family 45 happiness.  I put them by my Christmas Tree from last year with Grandma Snowman. LOL

I really wish that all of our decos from all of our farms were in one inventory and could be used on any farm.  It would be so fun  to move things around or do theme decorating for a farm, then change it, just have fun changing things around and decorating however it suites me today or this week, or month, or holiday, etc.

Thank You Everyone for all of the nice compliments on my snowball spreadsheet. I hope it helped all of your and your Co-ops win a great snowman.

I really like the Advent book and especially the Rudolph with his little dance and activities.  I do wish I had known that we cold start and end the event on our own time unlike most of the events GGS has.  I would have started it a little later, but all is good, really a nice event GGS, Thank You!

  • One hour and 50 min left in Snowman event. mine is 37 till now(all because of 4 sunflower seeds in gift from Rudolph.)

Can we get an answer from GGS on the machines.  Were the silo, mill, and composter supposed to work and simply did not?  The "curve" otherwise stops most people from going much above the low to mid 50's.
It's indeed intended that snowballs only drop from stables and fields.
Furthermore the decoration itself has quite a high happiness potential already, for such a small event. It's not supposed to be inherently better than decorations from other, more difficult events. ;)

You could only earn one out of those 5 decorations as they scale up both in happiness and design.

While it's not completely ruled out that we may offer this small event again next year, I feel that I will have to break it to all of you that it will most probably never be possible to get all decorations within the deco tower. Of course you can try to achieve most of them, but since we're offering a huge variety by now, it will become really difficult to get them all.

    Glad you like(d) the event!

As I said before, I can neither rule out nor promise another run of the snowball event. :)

Interesting idea. Let's see what the team thinks about it. :sunglasses:

    Seconded. If that is possible.

Reached happiness 47, growing sunflowers for christmas decos :)

Second this suggestion - If there is no chance we can get them all - then giving us the choice after reaching the last deco would be a fine alternative!
    Good one Runsaroundwivdangerousthingies!

Where is the pick-up-madness event info on the farm?  I cannot see anywhere where there are details of how many we have collected.  Also there is no info on how many snowballs we need to get to the next level of snowman.

Edit  -  okay I think I read it wrong.  It isn't a separate event, its just all the pick-events GGS have in their stash.  Need more coffee !!!

  • The number of snowballs collected is at the bottom left of the pop-up window. As usual, you don't know how many snowballs to achieve the next happiness level nor snowman level.
  • @tampoon (INT1)  Last time it did tell us how many we needed (see in pic on the left above the timer).

That was very useful, because when the timer was almost done, you knew how many you still needed & whether or not it was worth using speedups to try getting one more happiness point.

@bdreish (GB1)  It reached the Snowman family at around 42/43 happiness last time, but ofc we don`t know if they changed that for this one.
  • Jiesta (NL1)Jiesta (NL1) Posts: 6,557
My main problem these 3 days (apart from all the madness going on around my farm) is how NOT to achieve the highest "snowman family" deco, coz I already gottit ..... but, but, but ... can't stop farming because of all those other droppies!!

     any ideas?

  • edited 09.02.2016
Having the same "problem"....and didn't figured it out yet
Moreover my snowman is at 26 happiness already. Definitely going to the landscaper..

There is no display to tell us how many snowballs until the next happiness level.  This was an important feature!
