Constructive Suggestions for Improving the Game

But nothing is perfect, and I feel there are ways for GGS to improve the game. Here are a few of my ideas:
1. Implement a Test Server where any players who want to can try out planned additions or changes to the game before those changes go "live" on all servers. I'm sure a lot of people would be happy to take part in the test server, and player feedback would identify potential problem areas that need to be fixed before the event is introduced on all servers. Other games use test servers, why not here? The Santa Event, the Candy Farm, the Video Ads and more - all of these could have benefited from advance testing and allowed GGS to avoid having frustrated angry players when things don't work right.
2. Bring in new game features that add interest to the game. Lately a lot of new game additions seem to be cosmetic - the skylines, new decos, snow on the farms. While those things are fine, and no doubt some players really enjoy them, they do not make the game interesting to play. Gameplay is what makes a game interesting or not. Personally I really don't care about what the sky looks like in my game. Here are a few ideas:
- We already have a bakery (which, with only 4 recipes, is woefully under-utilized), and we have collection events. How about an event in which we collect various items around the farm and when we have collected enough, we are able to make special recipes in the bakery or flower shop? Examples: collect ginger, combine with eggs, milk and wheat to make gingerbread; collect bayberry and combine with wax in the flower shop to make bayberry candles. There could be seasonal items for special occasions such as hot cross buns for Easter. There might even be recipes such as sunflower seed bread or gluten-free bread made from rice that would use some of those event seeds we currently have no use for except to grow and sell.
- Why not give us the ability to plant special plants in our fields, gardens and meadows during seasonal events? For a limited time, we would be able to plant holly or berries on the FF, for example, and make wreaths in the Flower shop. I think options like this would be fun.
I know other players will have more ideas, these are just a few. If anyone else wants to post ideas here in this thread, please do. I don't know if GGS will ever act on them or not, but they're more likely to take notice if the ideas are posted than if they are not posted (I hope). And please - this is not a thread for ranting about evil, bad GGS - let's keep it constructive. Thank you.

I hope these ideas are given good consideration.
