You're wrong, the +15 bug for the top 24 only affected only the fr1 server:

Je ne peux pas vous dire s'ils seront supprimés ...
Pour les 24 premières coops, le problème rencontré est unique à notre serveur.
    Hi everyone
I play on fr 1 and you have to know that everybody received +15 happiness, from the first to the last one of the coop. The top 24 only received the frosty crystal palace (highest decoration).
Some people received 3 mystery boxes but they couldn't open them and after reloading the game those boxes disappeared. Personally I didn't get any.

My coop finished first for this event with almost 1 million more flakes than the second. The top 24 only got +15 happiness like all the other coop and nothing else....

Our CM was in holidays (no offense Pierre) during the last 2 weeks of this event and some had to come here to get more informations concerning the game.

We are now waiting for news from GGS because we are NOT HAPPY with this situation... at all.
So no or bad informations, bugssssss (a lot of them) and no reward for our hard work.

    Voilà. Happy new year everyone

Our coop won 148 value , quality 6 deco :)
  • Well hopefully it is a bug because finishing 3rd and gathering a heap of snowflakes for a 15+ happiness increase is ridiculous. The gold mining license reward I received after opening one of the 3 mystery box prizes for top 24 finish is a better reward than the decoration itself.
On fr1 everybody received the mystery box, but it was an undocumented feature.
Don't mind me asking: but what mystery boxes? My coop members and I didn't receive any mystery boxes for finishing in the top 24 ranking!
I got 3 mystery boxes yesterday, but they were because of reaching the end of the Golden League in the horse tournament.
.... I am confused now!  :/  Can somebody please bring some light in my darkness? THX!
Our coop finished 5th and we didn`t get any Mystery boxes :(

    Hi nalkiste
like you I play on fr1 but I didn't get any box

@RunsWivScissors : congratulations on your 5th. Could I know how much extra happiness you got ? I  wonder if the top 24 got the same thing or if it is based on the number of harvested flakes.
  • This event was very demanding but turned out to be not too bad - the amount of happiness I got on my frost ice castle seemed fair.  My frost ice castle turned out to have nearly same amount of happiness as the highest temp farm decorations like the rune circle, and I placed it right next to my rune circle and nordic ship in my gourmet farm.

We got the same +15, but it was more like +14 because we had 0.868 and it was rounded down not up, which I think was very unfair.
  • I asked around to see what we got for this event (thanks to those that helped) here are the results:

    Coops that....
    • Completed all 4 weekly lists & ranked in top 24 for snowflakes, got a level 7 Palace (+15 happiness)
    • Completed all 4 weeks, but ranked 25 or lower, got a level 7 Castle (+15 happiness)
    • Completed 3 weeks & got into top 24, got a Palace deco (+1 quality level +15 happiness).
    • Completed 3 weeks, but ranked 25 or lower, got Castle deco with no extras.
Also, new members in a coop also received any HW rewards that they missed, when they got their deco, this could be where the confusion about winning 3 Mystery Boxes came from, but I am not 100% sure on that one.

Did any coop get something drifferent from the above? ... If so, feel free to post & I'll give up trying to work out this event hehe :)

    Yep .... us. hehe  ;)

We completed all 4 weekly lists 100% and ranked in top 24 for snowflakes, got the Frozen Crystal Palace deco level 6 (+15 happiness) ... while our 3 lowest level players (under lvl 40) got the Palace deco, level 5 (+ 15 happiness).

does this mean I am the killjoy now?

No, it just means GGS loves us more ofc! photo Dork_zpsr2yoksgdgif

Seriously though, that is a bit odd, our higher members were 6 & lower ones 5 (before snowflakes) & after ending in top 24 we all got 7s.

    What were yours before snowflakes?

EDIT: How low is low? ... I don`t think we had one lower than level 30.

Couldn't resist, simply hád to use that smiley bouncing on some scissors at least once!! :D

Our lowest level member is a 32. And I agree this seems odd ....

Before the snowflakes event started my tree said 5 ..... 2 of our 3 low leveled members joined our coop in the midst of the Santa's List event (entered coop in second week) - but the 3rd one entered 1 month before these Christmas events started.

Still do have 2 open places though and 2 of our other members didn't join these events because of other duties in the month of December. I thought that counted also (?) ... math not really my thingy

@Jiesta (NL1)  Provided you completed all the orders that were started , that counts as completing the week. The overall happiness on the tree is all that is effected by having orders not started (or less than a full coop) I am not sure, but based on the happiness values I have seen, it looks like if you had a full coop & every order was started & completed every week, you would end up with the tree trunk full of orange & yellow stripes and a happiness of 200 after week 4. So your missing people only affected that.

We have a member on level 36/37 that joined after week 4, (2nd day of snowflakes I think it was), her tree said 148 happiness 5/7. At the end of the event she got palace deco level 7 with 163 happiness (+ all the HW rewards), so even just comparing that one player to you, I don`t know why you don`t have a level 7 deco.... Colour me confused!

EDIT: You got the result for a coop that got in top 24 but only completed 3 weeks, are you 100% sure you completed all  4 and had check marks on all the tabs numbered 1-4?

    Hi @Jiesta and @Runs.

It seems o.k.  In Jiesta's coop all players got the palace, as palace was promised for finishing all four weeks. But quality of the deco is determined buy the happines per square meter and seems that gained happines of her coop was not high enough for lvl 7 deco. As lower level players also got the lower happines value of the deco, that would explain why they got a lvl 5 deco.

I suppose that quite some players in her coop did not play the event (stayed on 0%) - free space is also counted as inactive player) .  Can you confirm this @Jiesta?

I also noticed that happines of the deco changed in the middle of the week, so it must be conected with the happiens/m2 and not with figure:

So, I think it goes like this:
    - 3 or 4  weeks on 100%  + in first 24 coops    :   palace
    - 3 or 4 weeks  on 100% + not on the first 24 coops OR 2 weeks  on  100%+ first 24 coops  : castle
    - 2 weeks on 100% + not on the first 24 OR  1 week on 100% + first 24 coops :  manor
    -  1 week on 100% + not on the first 24 OR just in first 24 coops : cottage
    - donated at least one product : igloo.

    - 24 best coops got +15 happines
    - lvl of the deco depends on happiness/m2
    - happines depended  on these factors:
         - level of the player
         - how many players played (relative to the maximum numbers of players that coop can have)
         - how much (%) each player filled the order
        - some bonus was added, if extra goods over 100% were donated.

  • - 24 best coops got +15 happines

@aaabbb1 (INT1)  But, if a coop completed all 4 weeks & did not get into the top 24, they also got the +15 happiness & a level 7 castle instead of a level 7 palace.

    @aaabbb1 (INT1) & @RunsWivScissors (GB1)

    OK, here we go:

    - 2 members didn't join in both events (Santa's List & snowflakes) because of being busy elsewhere
    - apart from that we do have 2 empty spaces
    - second week we got 2 new members (they joined in the 3rd week, got Palace level 5, 124 points)
    - second week is the only week we did the weekly list with only the highest 4 lvls (4 biggest farmers) = yellow stripe stayed very small in tree trunk (or was it the orange one?)
    - All other 3 weeks everybody joined in (except for those 2 mentioned, and the 2 new members missed 2 wks)
    - we completed 4 weekly lists 100%
    - only 1 week one member left coop and came back again, to get score back to 0%
    - and during 2 weeks 3 more players decided to stay on 0%, because their list appeared to be to heavy (not doable). Remember everybody was preparing for Christmas + New Year's festivities at home...
    => the orange/yellow stripes didn't fill the tree trunk totally - maybe 3/4 ...
    - When Santa's List event ended, the 4 biggest farmers had 5/7 (in tree); and after snowflakes event: Palace lvl 6 and 154 points. All other members had the same Palace decor, also lvl 6, but lesser points and the 3 lowest level members got same Palace decor, lvl 5 and 124-129 points....

My head spins now but I am sure that you clever gals can figure things out
Somehow it doesn't sound all that strange all together, now that I have listed things here above. We all did our utmost during those 4 weeks of course (and really enjoyed it), but many of us had other duties, too - so we couldn't all join in every week or do as much as we would have wanted. I'm sure many coops had the same things going on...

  • @Jiesta (NL1)  Ahh I got it.... Its a combo of what I said & what aaabbb1 said.... You say the top ones were 154 happiness level 6, I found a 161 level 6 and 163 level 7, so the cuttoff is around 162. .... All is well with the world, need to edit my list though....Thanks Jiesta :)

@aaabbb1 (INT1)  But, if a coop completed all 4 weeks & did not get into the top 24, they also got the +15 happiness & a level 7 castle instead of a level 7 palace.

We had several empty spots in the co-op plus not everyone could participate every week due to the holidays, so we didn't get the highest happiness. We completed all 4 weeks but did not get into the top 24. I don't know what everyone got but the higher levels got a level 6 frosty ice castle with +15 happiness. The happiness was 136 before the event ended, now its 151. I'm pretty sure it was level 5 before the event ended.

Seeing that Jiesta's happiness is 154 and mine is 151, I would say that's probably why she got a level 6 deco.

O.K. A small correction then: - 15+ is given to everybody that either finished all 3 weeks and was in first 24 OR finished all four weeks. Palase, as mentioned before was reserved only for those who were in first 24 coops (and finished three or four weeks).
    @aaabbb1 (INT1) & @RunsWivScissors (GB1)

    OK, here we go:

    - second week is the only week we did the weekly list with only the highest 4 lvls (4 biggest farmers) = yellow stripe stayed very small in tree trunk (or was it the orange one?)

Seems to me, that this is the reason why you ended up with lvl 6 and lvl 5 decos instead of lvl 7 ones. In your second week, most players stayed inactive, leading to small yelow stripe. Here is where you loosed happines. My coop: we finished all four weeks. Each week couple of players (4 or 5) out of 41 players (no free space) stayed inactive. We had a small gap to the top of trunck with 183 happines. In last two weeks we finised in 17 place. I got a palace with happines 197. I am a lvl 140. A lvl 80 player got the same happines, and a lvl 68 player got a palace with 191 happines. All level 7.
  • what do you mean by that?

  • @gavinfarms (US1) Now now, we can`t reveal all of Santa's secrets, have to leave some surprises for you all  :p

We were told there had been some changes to the event from last year's, but aside from the number of days, they have not told us what else has changed.

I will hope for something truly festive and fun but have no fear dear players I have been here long enough not to get my hopes to high they couldn't even allow Monty to visit the santa temp farm so not expecting a whole lot.

Yeah i'm thinking along the same lines as Damaria i'm afraid.......with the sudden push for gold buying and the re-introduction of cheating (buying reputation points) I shudder to think what "surprise" GGS have in store for us this time.

Very excited that we will have this Santa's Wish List again, looking forward to it! Indeed I hope that the amount of products on our lists will be less than last year, with regards to the shorter chapters of only 4 days!
  • Since there was a post announcing that the Santa Wishlist event is coming on Dec the 11th and that the orders will have to be completed in just 4 days, does anyone have more informations?
Does this mean that the wuantity of the orders will be decreased?
Does this mean that we will have 3 days to complete our orders and the 4th day will be reserved for the help from other cooperative members?

    My thoughts exactly !
I am afraid that this will be even worse then last year :(

Oh finally a non-rant post lol.

Our Team is ready !!!  Everyone present, uniforms pressed, boots shining,  waiting for Santa's orders...

Same here @PCA (GB1)  :D Thought it would start this Sunday at midnight, so we had all our knifes sharpened and were ready for it too ..... But this news gives us 1 week more to fill our barns and beg Steve to come by for just one last visit to our farms  :)

We had such great fun last year!! This year not as many members can join in because of the busy holidays, so maybe we won't win the Animated Ice Palace this year ... but that doesn't matter - the team spirit and fun of working together is far more important!

    Good luck to everybody!
