    Cheers @loony_cz (INT1)

What its not snowing on the Gourmet or Flower farms.....   ?
Yep, snowflakes only fall over main farms :D Imagine if you had to shovel all that snow from all three farms.. your arms would fall off.. or make your snowmachineblower stutter..

  • What a dissapointing final of a perfect, great, cooperative event!
Gone is the stimulation of cooperative union, gone the meaning of having a gourmet and flower farm and producing on it. Such a pitty......It's just everyone for him/herself!
Only the top 24 are having a chance to get the highest animated Ice-palace...so why bother...?
I am very dissapointed ....couldn't you really find nothing else for the final round?

(please forgive me my Englisch....and mistakes in grammatics and spelling)

Maybe if we could get enough votes/posts together we can ask the CM's for extending the "top ranks" from 24 to.. say.. top 100..? You know.. as a christmas present..?

My main question: Those who are ranked outside the top 24, will the snowflakes they collect still add to increase the overall happiness of the frosty ice castle? Because so far it's not improving anymore little by little, but standing still, despite the falling snowflakes..

  • We were told we could miss a week of the event and still get the top decoration, but that is not what is showing on our Santa list. It also says the last week we will be doing this collection of snowflakes and we have 14 days to go.. What changed and where are we now with this event?

Agree with you.  The way it is laid out is more like a coop challenge and not like an individual coop event.  So once again the bigger coops will get the final bigger reward?   And your English is perfect, much better than my Dutch would be :)

We could do that, but it's not only the "top ranks till 24...." It's all together a dissapointing finale at the end of a great, cooperative event. Every member of our coop was really enthoussiast and very active the last 4 weeks. Every one trying to do their best to fill up the list and at the last chance sunday discussing and working together to get 100% in every list ....and we did it all 4 weeks!! And now it's ending in simply working on the main farm for snowflakes.......
We hoped for a cooperative list...to fill it together....mby as soon as possible......but harvesting for snowflakes......how sad....

Should have made my last post clearer. If the top coops have already got the top decoration then why would they want to win the snowflakes part of this event?

They have not missed a week so they are at the top level already? Not all but a lot of coops this applies too.

What about the lower level coops who can't compete with the top coops that will fill the top 24 places?

This whole event seems flawed as it was in the beginning when I made the same statement.

Thank you for the compliment. For now I'm going to my bed....hoping it will turn out to be a bad dream and the finish of this great event is just as super as it started. ;)

The "last last chance" snowflakes would have been much more appealing event stage if the ribbon connecting the two ice decos on the left was actually a fill meter showing progress towards earning the upgrade and all the snowflakes collected by your co-op contributed towards everyone in the co-op getting the upgrade.

This 'collect for 2 weeks and only if you are among the top 24 collecting coops do you get the upgrade' event is the lump of coal booby-prize in my xmas stocking.

Can everyone participate this time?  It no longer matters who did lists and who did not, correct?
  • Can't see how they can opt out the snowflakes are there when you harvest.gavinfarms (US1) said:

That is what I assume.....it still has not started in the US.  We have 1 more hour.

Exactly only the first 24 coops with the most snowflakes will "upgrade" to the next deco level - the animated Frozen Crystal Palace.
This bothers me (even though I think we can make it).  In the beginning it was presented that those who managed to have 100 percent on each list that was started would get to the animated deco.  There are going to be lots of angry people if GGS is going back on there word here.  At HUGE expense, a number of my members have spent huge sums of farm dollars and gold to meet the goal of getting everyone who started  to 100 percent.  I hope what you wrote is not true, because I know of a number of small coops (who will not be in the top 24), but who have gotten everyone to 100 percent just for this purpose.  And they are going to be very, very angry if GGS is not following through on their word.
  • GGS Bah Humbug Christmas special. I get more disappointed every day with this game.

I am all for giving the little guys a little cheer not just the top coops.

Yes we were told we could miss a week and still get the top deco. It also says the last week if you read it, but it is 14 days to go yet. That is where I assumed wrongly that you could correct a missed week.

  • Data King (US1)Data King (US1) US1 Posts: 7,994
Irisa it could be any thing at this point. No one but a few testers & ggs knows for sure.

I agree that it would be nice to be able to go back and try to complete the other weeks. I also heard of a "Hard Worker" (George's silo) type event may be thrown into the mix. I suggest to restock while you have the chance.

If we were successful in getting all started orders 100% completed we will get the frosty ice castle (animated) deco. But....there's a higher visual upgrade from that. From what I'm reading here a co-op has to be in the top 24 to get this. I don't want to judge too early, since this hasn't started on the US server yet, but I surely hope that's not the case. I'm not interested in making every single thing a competition. I would prefer some things be based on our efforts/hard work. I will truly be disappointed if the final results of our deco is based on rankings. I thought the rankings would be there to show how other co-ops did but not to give the others less than what they worked for.

We'll see how this goes but if its just another competitive gold grab thing, I may be out and give up the game. I started this game nearly 3 years ago with the intentions of playing a peaceful farming game. Many things have changed, some things I like and some things I don't. I don't like the rankings being added to every little thing to pressure people to buy gold. I don't like that there's a ranking system to try to pit us against each other in a co-op challenge when we should be a team (I know, I said that before). If GGS wants to continue with this competitive/gold grab crap, I will probably be saying adios pretty soon. I play this game as an outlet for stress but if this is bringing more stress than real life, I'm out! ;)

I did not think the Ice Castle was animated, but only the Ice Palace.

    Steffi,

This is serious.  Please let us know.  If we did every thing right to this point (got every "started" order to 100 percent) and yet don't make the top 24 in snowflake collection, will we not get the animated palace deco?

I have members who worked harder than ever before, and they are furious at this problem.  We understood that the happiness value might be more in other coops, but not that we needed to make some last minute rank during the week of Christmas to get the animated deco.

    Please advise.

Wouldn't it be great if the list of coop members were sorted in some logical way?.....perhaps in descending order by snowflake total.

LOL that would be logical nothing logical in this event...

    Jess-
I did not think the Ice Castle was animated, but only the Ice Palace.

You're right! I was thinking the frosty ice castle was the animated image in the OA but it was the frozen crystal palace. I'm sorry, I have my dumb moments LOL. :|

I was under the same impression that although the happiness may differ, we would all have the chance to unlock the highest visual upgrade of the deco based on our performance. To realize its all about the ranking system at the end is disgusting to me. I'm all about team work, I love my team and I'm glad we work so well together. I really liked this event but when it comes down to our "gold" quality, I think I'm out and no longer interested. Of course, I'll do my best to finish the event for my team but I don't know where I'll go from there.

I give GGS props for listening to feedback and making adjustments to try & satisfy players but all this competitive/gold grab nonsense is unnecessary. I like a little competition but there's such thing as too much. This is a holiday event, which should be about working together and helping each other, not about competing with others.

    hiya
ok so I read the help section showing  how this last week would work, now its kind of turned into a ranking event, and says only the top co-ops that collect the most snowflakes will gain  the level 7 décor, but what it doesn't say is how many co-op's that will be,  like top 10 or top 20, top 200,
I do find this to be an unfair way to finish this event as its now a ranking event making sure the biggest co-ops benefit  again, theres no way a small co-op that has worked so hard for the last 4 weeks has a prayer of gaining the level 7 décor in a ranking situation just look at the leading co-op and that should give GGS a clue, this should be a total snowflake target collected  event based on co-op ranking, if I was in a small co-op I would be outraged at this, I am  in a small co-op but  we are all very active players but this really sucks for  some co-ops.

you can always count on GGS to ruin what has been a fairly good event to do.

    edited to add this
Ok I now see the top 24 in rankings are different colour so I take it  only 24 co-ops  will have the chance to get to level 7  décor, still unfair, come on GGS make it a lot more than 24

from what I understand and I hope I'm WRONG but it looks like only the top 24 co-ops that collect the most snowflakes will gain the level 7 décor, if this is correct  I am totally disgusted with GGS all those smaller co-ops that have worked SO HARD over the past 4 weeks will have no chance of making it into the top 24 with out using (censored) loads of gold, this in my opinion is the worst possible conclusion to this event making it once more into a ranking, I also believe  smaller co-op will gain more snowflakes  than higher co-ops but I could be wrong but this  really wont help them, I'm in a smaller co-op but we are all extremely active all the time with 19 great players, nah sorry  I think this ending really sucks bigtime,

    edited to add this,

after everything we all have done during the past 4 weeks I think everyone deserves the level 7 décor  anyway. This I think could be the last straw for many players who were or are on the verge of quitting what once was a great game to play. I for one will have to  think deeply if I even want to continue to play this game. I do know this much I will NEVER buy gold again to aid in the development of this game if this ending stays like this

At least there's no "buy snowflakes" or "300% snowflake booster" hot deals..........yet! lol.
  • The french translation on the ? of the tree says last week, is the English version says +- last step? (the couter says 14 days). The hidden question is "does the last step will last 1 or 2 weeks?"

I cannot tell you how much I agree with this. The lower level co-ops deserve a chance to earn the higher level deco. If it was another week of Santa's Wish List, I bet they could have done it, but when you are competing against other co-ops, there are far too many higher level co-ops that don't want to spoil their reputation for the littler co-ops to have even the tiniest chance of getting the deco they deserve.

Another problem I have is the deco's themselves. WHY ARE THEY SO HUGE??? I don't have room on my farm for that deco that I will win, whether I manage to get the level 7 one or not. What a waste of time.
  • here is a link that was posted in our co-op:
    https://community.goodgamestudios.com/bigfarm/en/discussion/115553/santas-snowflakes
I think it is from one of the other forums. there is also some pics available.  it does show ranking of co-ops

  • after the initial adjustments I really liked that event, looking forward to our last step in the challenge

and the ballon just pooofed, spiralling down and down and....

just working your main farm for the last 2 weeks?
a coop challenge over the festive period where a fair share of people are going on christmas holidays to spend time with family?
no chance of small coops winning an upgrade?

well, christmas holidays for me, congrats to the 64 player coops for getting your upgrades, on the other hand, we might never see them anyways, the size they are *shrugs and wishes everyone a relaxed holiday period*

So yet again those larger co-ops will benefit from the last section of the santa list.  Since when does the last week last 14 days aswell.

    GGS - NOT VERY IMPRESSED

But we didn`t.... We completed every week and each week we got more base happiness & progressed to the next deco, except this week, we are still on the same deco & got no extra happiness added..... So what was the point of completing week 4s orders???
Exactly only the first 24 coops with the most snowflakes will "upgrade" to the next deco level - the animated Frozen Crystal Palace.
But that is not what the instructions say..... They say we are collecting snowflakes to be in top 24 to increase the "quality level" of our deco...Which means, as we completed every week, we should be on the last deco (level 6) and be playing to make it a level 7 deco. But that is not whats happened, we are still on the same deco we were on last week. :(

This event has to win an award for being the most complicated one EVER!!..... My brain hurts lol
