      9. never accept cookies
    10. delete all weird looking mail immediately without opening.
    11. use a strong Anti Malware and Ad Blocker program
    12. preferably don't watch the video ads from third parties, this can give hackers an entrance to your pc.
  • Excellent addition, Jiesta.

THX for the laughs farmerjohn!  Smiley  Very funny addition (should be no. 13 on the list! LOL) and so true sometimes!

(why somebody thinks it to be necessary to give farmerjohn's post a "Flag" goes beyond me - there simply can't be found any - not even one tiny bit of - "spam" in his post!!)

That's okay, Jiesta. The way I look at it, having only one Spam flag after 2,805 posts is a pretty doggone good record! Cool smileys

That sounds grand farmerjohn! And I am with you on this one: I got only 1 Spam flag after 2,571 posts (also totally unnecessary) and love to think of it now as "a doggone good record"! Thx to you!  :)
  • Maybe that flag have been set by somebody who not know it a signal for spam?
-Until I read what Jiesta have write in cursive about the flag, I did not know what function that flag have... In fact I thought It could be used as a kind of 'marking' so it was easier to find that post again, eg. for use on post contianing important information worth to link to.
  • @farmerjohn 22 (US1)  I think Brian is correct, the person probably just disagreed with your post, I have removed the spam flag.

@Jiesta (NL1)  I cannot see any flags on your account. If you have one showing for spam, can you click it & send me a PM with the post that is flagged & I will check that out for you.

Thank you Wabbit. Pinjo already cleared it for me at that time!
  • Ahh, good, that explains why I couldn`t see one. :)

Thank you, Wabbit. It was obviously a misunderstanding of my attempt at jocularity regarding a serious matter, that being the protection of your account from being hacked. The measures suggested are all very good. I use them myself. The point I was trying to make was that no matter what measures you take to safeguard your account from being hacked, a determined and experienced hacker can get past them. Hey, our old forum was hacked, remember? :)

One other way is to report players to GGS that attempt to extract information about you such as your age, sex, and any other info that they do not need to know aboout, in short, never divulge any information about yourself to anyone online.
  • Very true.
