A Real Adventure (Brown Tent)

I'd like to talk with anyone who has finished A Real Adventure.  I can't seem to make it to the end before the time is up.  That often happens the first time...or if I get a late start, but I usually am able to figure it out after that.  The last thing on the list that you need to do is make feed for cows, chickens, pigs.  Those things take a really long time compared to some of the others.  (Maybe they don't want to discourage you & have you quit at the beginning)  I'm working on it but know its impossible for me to finish in the few hours I have remaining.

I'm not on the computer 24/7, but I'm on it much of the time.  I let it on at night so that if I get up to use the "necessary room" or if I can't sleep, I can stop by & grow grain or make feed  :-).

I guess I just need some suggestions as to how to complete a Real Adventure.

  • For the feed step, it's good if you've upgraded the mill as much as possible before hand. Have the mill busy with cow feed overnight. And since you get credit when you START the feed, try to plan it so that you've done all the feed except a maximum load of cow feed, then when you start that load of cow feed you will be done, and it doesn't matter that it will take another half day to actually make it.

For any step of any event that requires drops, and the drops can come from processors (mill, silo, composter), try to keep those processors busy. They will give the most reliable drops.

Note that the fertile field is half the size of a regular field.  I use 12 level 1 fertile fields rather than 6 level 6 regular fields.  Twice the fields means twice the drops.

  • hi geys
  • The fact of the matter is that ever since they overhauled the deco challenges... they are almost ALL impossible to complete without gold or playing 16 or more hours a day. The drop rates and quantities are completely jacked.

Like you said, I would often miss it the first go-round. Especially if I had just moved up a tier to the next better "prize". But ever since they redid them... it has become a loss cause. I will NOT be buying more gold and will be playing a lot less, no real reason to beat my head against a wall for a game I cannot win, that would be idiotic.

was recommending this game to my friends that were sick of the hijinks at Farmville and with that game constantly bothering their Facebook friends. I have now told them not to bother. Pretty sad really.

    Question to Flittermouse:

Since I don't know when the tent event will come, how can I make feed ahead of time?  Did I understand you right that your days start when you put your first feed into the game?  Do you mean  that if you work on making feed for a day, your days won't start till the next day when you put your first batch in?  (Sorry, I can be really dense sometimes...lol)

I don't buy gold & I don't get enough from other sources to replace my fields with fertile fields. (I accidentally got one at the beginning of the game with gold given to me then, but it requires more & more gold to upgrade which I haven't done.  That field is sort of in my way. I just keep it to grow a little extra...very little)

Thanks for your help on this.  I'm anxious to hear your response about the time situation.....that could be a BIG help if I understood it right.   :-)
  • You need to have the task in your taskbar BEFORE you start making feed. Once you have the task, you get credit when you START the processing of the feed, not when you collect it.

If you then do all of the feed task except for a final big load of cow feed, then when you START that big load of cow feed you get credit for it. You don't have to wait for that load of cow feed to finish to get credit. So by arranging that to be the last thing you need to do for the task, you finish the task when you start that load, and you don't have to wait for it to finish.

Thanks Flittermouse for explaining that to me....maybe it will help others too.  :-)
