Ship asks for over 1600 apples

My barn is at full capacity as is my farmhouse.   My barn will only hold 1500 apples yet the ship is asking for 1600+ apples.   How do I collect more than 1500 apples.  The architect will not let me expand my barn anymore.

The max storage capacity is with the 2 barns maxed and the farm house maxed. Unless I did not see it, you need to add an additional barn
