Horse training bug REDUCING LEVELS !

OK Decided to train a horse. Selected the horse, opened the training page, added shoes to raise the horses agility level by 3. I started at level 19, Should complete training at level 22.  However as soon as I started the training the horses level dropped to level 16!
Thinking that I was just seeing things I selected a different horse. Added enough shoes to raise that horses strength by one point. And as soon as I selected to start training the horse dropped in strength from 13 to 12.

Thanks

  • When are you looking at the level in the star?.... Is it right before you click start on the training, but after you have moved the slider?

When you move the slider, it increases the number in the star each time the blue line passes the end of the bar, so the level you see in the star when you click the start button, is the level it will be when training is finished. It will go back to showing the current level when you click start & stay that way until you click "Collect" at the end of training.

I know how it's supposed to work, but it isn't working that way.
One horse started at level 19, I moved the slider far enough to add 3 points to that. (showed the correct +3 with the up arrow at the end of the training bar) when the training finished the horse should be at level 22.
The issue is that as soon as I clicked start the horse went from 19 DOWN to level 16!
When it completed training it finished and shows now as Level 19, which is what it started as.

The other horse started the strength training at level 12 I added shoes to bring it to level 13.
When I clicked start the level 12 dropped to 11, then once the training was finished it added the point in and the horse returned to level 12.

The breeding numbers did go up in both cases so that appears to be working. It just appears to be the training numbers that have a math problem.

Tralfazz.....it seems you go down the amount of levels that you think you go up.
+3 becomes -3.....I would stop training untill this is solved.

That's it in a nutshell. Take three steps forward, three steps back....
  • Wow never seen that happen, thats not good at all. I just tested one of mine & its still working as it should, so sounds like you have a bug there. Take screenshots before & after you move the slider & after you have clicked start & post them here or send them to support, or both.

Are you sure the horse started at 19 before you touched the slider? My horse is level 0 for example. I move the slider up and it goes to level 13 (blue bars and blue arrows up - meaning future level). Then I hit start and it flicks back to level 0 until the training is done.

I can just imagine players all going to test their horse training, just like me....
Just reading back through the post tralfazz does not state if he/she saw level 22 after moving the slider. Although with the other horse he/she states that it was a level 12, then slider showed level 13. Before clicking any more training i would chose a horse, do a screen shot of its level, then move the slider so it goes up 1 level, do another screen shot before training.Oh and a screen shot while training, just in case.  After training see what the result is.

    Larino,
Yep. I'm sure. Before I started I had this (same numbers except the shoe count started much higher)

I selected Agility training for Lola and moved the slider, like you normally do. (demo shot, used all my shoes)

Got the 22 on the slide. The +3 and the arrow. Then I clicked start. I expected the 22 to drop to 19 and training to start. Instead the 22 dropped to 16 and training started! Once training was finished the 3 point rise was added to the 16 points and I ended up back where I started.

Thinking that I was seeing things I tried the same process on Rosemary. Used the rest of my shoes on strength training. In this case it should have been a raise of one point (from 12 up to 13) Instead I moved the slide, got the +1 and hit start. Same thing occurred, the counter should have dropped to 12 then once training was done it would go up to 13. Instead the counter dropped to 11. At the end of training it went back up to 12!

The only difference was that the breeding value did go up by one point.

Okay so that is definitely a bug. Now the question is whether it is a display error (usually fixable by clearing caches) or a bug on GGS' side of things, which should be fixed by them. What you might try to figure that out is of course clear caches and try again or use a different browser to see if that changes anything. If nothing helps, write to support. I hope it gets solved!!

OK this one sounds interesting, you say at the end of training Rosemary you had the same 3 numbers that you started with, but the overall level of the horse went up by 1 point. Could you give us the 3 values & horse level for Rosemary (before & after training)  please. :)

    Larino -
Thought it might be a display bug myself. Cleared all storage, tried 3 different browsers. Still there.

    RWS -
Numbers before on Lola were 21/22/19  With 20 breeding. After training I expected 21/22/22 and breeding of 21 or 22 (not sure how they calculate that number but I was raising agility by 3)
What I got was 21/22/19 and 21 for breeding.

For Rosemary the numbers were 12/13/12 with breeding of 11 and I was trying to raise her by one point to 12/13/13 (didn't think breeding would change for one point) After training she was still 12/13/12 but breeding number went up to 12.

FYI - Cleared out the caches again and even switched to a different machine just in case it was a glitch in the flash software. All still the same.

I figured I'd start here on the forum simply because normally you get better/faster responses and help.
Now to figure out how to just send them this thread instead of typing this all again...

OK - Just now (15:41 9-6-15) sent a report to support with a link to this post and more information. Let's see what they think.
8 minutes for a tracking number. Better than the last time when it took an hour for the auto responder.

Oh and thanks for all the replies. Did need to find my way back to THIS forum though. Still don't know why they need two different english language forum groups.

The breeding value should be (strength # + endurance # + agility #) / 3, so that would be 20.6 (I think that rounds off to 21?) for Lola and 12.3, so 12 for Rosemary. That would mean your breeding values got straightened out after training and your training levels remained the same. Weird it definitely is!

I think support could help better. Or maybe a community manager knows a bit more about this weird buggy glitchy thing.

    .

The horses level is an average of the 3 numbers in the yellow stars (rounded to nearest whole number), So.....
    Lola: 21+22+19 = 62 / divided by 3 = 20.66666 = 21
    Rosemary: 12+13+12 = 37 / divided by 3 = 12.33333 = 12
Which means both horses are correct now, but were wrong before you started training. Do please let us know what support says. :)

EDIT: Ok that was weird, Larino's post just appeared, where was that hiding? lol

Well no support answer yet. Just added the minimum to a horse to see what happened and it seems to be working correctly now. Will wait until training is done to say that it is actually fixed...

OK training finished and the numbers did what they were supposed to.
