Horses Lose Races While they Are training?

Hi everyone,

I thought I read something about this earlier but I just can't find it so please forgive if this is a repost.

Four hours ago I set my only 2 horses for training. When I come back to collect them from their training I see on the bulletin board that they have lost 3 races. They've been training - how is this possible?? If I can't race them when they're training (obviously - they can't bi-locate) than how can others?

It is the way that the competition is set up. If you could avoid challenges against your horses when they are in training, players would keep their horses in training all of the time when they are not competing. It works out in the end as some of the horses you compete against are also in training.

Thank you for your reply. I understand that it "balances" b/c it's not just my horses but I think the idea of this is silly. It's nearly illogical - if others can race my horses while they're training than I should too (which is also illogical). In training should mean off limits.

If you, or I, have a horse in training, that horse cannot challenge another in a race. It can, however, be challenged by someone else. The horses that you challenge (when your horse is not in training) some of them are in training at their end.

As I said above: If my horse could not be challenged while in training, I would train it all the time so as not to lose points. When training finishes I would do my challenges then put it right back in training. It is no good that way. The current system is the most balanced.
