Today we bring you an important update regarding our community forums.

Changes to the Community Forums

After much consideration and in our ongoing efforts to improve communication and interaction within our vibrant community, we have made the difficult decision to close our current forums. This decision was not made lightly, as we understand the forums have been a home for many of our dedicated players to share, learn, and connect with fellow farmers.

Key Dates:

- March 1st: The forums will transition to read-only mode. From this date, you will still be able to access and read all the existing threads and posts, but you will not be able to create new content or reply to existing threads.

- March 31st: The forums will be permanently shut down. After this date, the forums and their content will no longer be accessible.

Join Us on  Discord & Visit Our Community Hub

To ensure that our community remains strong and connected, we invite you to join our Discord server. Discord will serve as our primary platform for real-time discussions, community events, and direct support from the team. It's a vibrant place where you can continue to share your experiences, tips, and connect with fellow players. Discord not only allows you to chat with other players in real time, but can also be structured like the forum, with discussion threads, guides, games… 

For those who prefer a more structured environment to find information, updates, and announcements, our Community Hub will be the go-to place. It will be regularly updated with the latest news.

• I Do Not Have a Discord Account

If you're new to Discord, welcome aboard! Here's how to get started:

1. Download the Discord App: For a smoother experience, download the Discord app on your computer. It's more convenient than using the web version and ensures you're always logged in. Download it from https://discord.com/.

Click the button to download the Desktop app, or “Open Discord in your browser”  for  the web version. 

2. Create Your Account: Open the app or head to https://discord.com/ and click “Open Discord in your browser. If prompted for a nickname, you're in the signup process!. Follow the steps to create your account using your email address.Please note that you are in no way obligated to use your phone number nor give it at any time, even if Discord reminds you to. That said, please note that adding your phone number is an extra security for your account.

Window for registration on the Discord app or website. If you want to log in instead, click “Already have an account?” at the bottom.

3. Join the Big Farm Discord Server: Use our invite link: https://discord.gg/bigfarm to join our server. Remember, this link is only for your first-time entry. The second entry needs to be done exclusively through the Discord App, or by directly logging in on the discord website should you prefer using the website. (https://discord.com/). In that case, please click the “Login” button in the top right of the website. Once your account is already set up, please do not use the Discord button in the Big Farm: this button is only an invite link. 

• I Already Have a Discord Account

If you already have a Discord account but haven't joined our server yet:

1. Log In to Your Account: Open the Discord app or go to https://discord.com/ and log in with your email and password.

This is the login page in the app or on the website. Notice that it does not ask you for a nickname, but only your email address. 

2. Join Our Server: Click on this invite link https://discord.gg/bigfarm to join the Big Farm Discord server. This is a one-time link; future access must be done exclusively through the Discord App, or by directly logging in on the Discord website should you prefer using the website. (https://discord.com/). Once your account is already set up, please do not use the Discord button in the Big Farm: this button is only an invite link.

For those already a part of our Discord community:

1. Accessing Discord: Ensure you have the Discord app installed. It's the easiest way to stay logged in and access our server. Download it from https://discord.com/ if you haven't yet.

2. Log In:  Open the Discord app or website and log in using your email and password. If you're prompted for a nickname, you're accidentally trying to create a new account. Make sure to log in with your existing account details.

• Additional Tips

- A Rule Of Thumb: if you’re asked for a nickname, you’re trying to create a new account! Once your account is created, you will always login with your email address and never with your username. Always make sure that you are on the login page if you already have an account! 

- Staying Logged In: The Discord app keeps you logged in, making it easy to access the Big Farm server without needing to log in every time. You can set the app to start automatically with your computer or not, based on your preference.

- Web Version Access If you prefer not to install the app, bookmark https://discord.com/app for easier access through your browser.

- Mobile Access: Discord is also available on mobile devices. Download the mobile app to stay connected on the go.

It’s time for the last update of the year! New decorations, a new horse season, and a big change to the email registration system - that’s what’s new in the next update! 

New year, new Horse Season

Lights, camera, action! Get ready to embark on a cinematic adventure in our upcoming Horse Season, "Movie Heroes," galloping into action this January!. Collect exclusive avatars that pay homage to iconic film characters, and give your mill a hint of Wild West charm with the stylish Western Windmill appearance. With an exclusive decoration inspired by the magic of the silver screen, it's time to let the movie magic unfold!

Cute new decorations for sale! 

We know everyone likes decorations, and our artists love to design them - in January, you will be able to purchase these heart warming additions to your farm and give an Asian look to your chicken coop, as well as get this adorable decoration! 

Significant changes to the email registration system 

To facilitate the registration process and avoid players getting locked out of their account because they couldn’t access their old email address,  we decided to make it easier for you.
You can now change your email address without needing access to the old one!
This way, we’ll also make sure that everyone can get the gifts contained in the newsletter - it’s the festive season after all! Don’t worry, if you already have a valid registered address, you will not need to do anything more. 

We ask our players to please be careful with their account security: while this will not change anything for players that have a strong password and never shared it with anyone, we want to stress that it will be even more important to keep your account secure. This means never sharing your password with anyone, and making sure that it is strong enough and cannot be guessed by a third party. For more information about this, please refer to the announcement dedicated to that subject!

Bug Fixes and improvements: 

• Performance issues should be reduced on the affected servers, especially on FR, PL, CZ

• UI optimization on various dialogue boxes - mainly on the community buildings. 

• Mouseover tooltips will now be visible in priority when hovering over a building: the tooltip will not be hidden behind your interface anymore!  

• GPE rewards were updated with the new Seaweed products.
