When I started 4 years ago the only notice of an event was the vehicle in the parking lot. We all survived without advance notice. I am always 6 hours behind anyway. Kudos to the programmers for a delightful game :D

Used my 1st 50 tokens right away - got 43 more in HW event - prizes from CC added up to 73 yesterday - this a.m. put bakery in upgrade with architect - only 3 tokens left - the token bldg slot remains locked.

It seems as though 70 tokens were used to upgrade my bakery in the universal slot. If not-70 tokens disappeared - the token slot is locked. Not complaining - just full of wonder:D
