This is what truly has happened...

Some people purchased very expensive sports cars.

Because other drivers in cheap cars saw them speeding down the highway...

The company that sold you the car re-programmed the engine chip and now it's worth nothing.

THE TRUE REASON THIS HAS HAPPENED IS SIMPLE

GGS realized that players who purchased a lot of kites didn't have to spend as much gold to win CC as others who didn't buy as many kites.

If this isn't the case, calculate the original cost of the kite for WWC tokens multiplied by the gold you charge to get tokens, delete the old flags and refund the gold, then offer the new ones as planned.

YOU GUYS were negligent in NOT supervising your staff to make sure things like this wouldn't happen, if you were manufacturing aircraft, lives would have been lost due to careless management.

So there's a fair solution to the problem you created. And since you'll never do it...

I feel sorry for all those who have been a victim of corporate greed. But since this seems to be a repeating pattern for this company, I say purchase items at your own risk!!!

I sure don't trust them, do any of you???

You introduced the 'Village Fair'. We played it as it was presented to us. Some got extra prizes - That's NOT the players fault - but the decision was made to enter into those players accounts and remove the extra prizes. When we let our displeasure known - we got thrown a shiny, low value balloon. Very insulting.

I stopped buying gold when that happened as I realized, Wow, they'll come in and take things from me anytime they wish.
Next announcement after that was more news of, 'We didn't get all the extra prizes the first time we went into your farms to take them away, so here we come again to remove even more -- Here, have another Panda!'
Patted myself on the back for not buying any more gold when I read that one.

Time passed, I missed buying gold, kept waiting for a sign things were improving for us, and felt that was happening when the correction to the handbooks was made to accommodate the new booster skins.

Yay! Finally some good news! I felt better, started buying gold again, and now - here I see my investment I made in the kites I bought are being taken away too.

Listen, I LOVE this game. I wouldn't be here defending my farms for the umpteenth time if I didn't.
I LOVE buying gold! I LOVE investing in my farms! BUT I'm not so stupid as to continue to buy gold when one of my BIGGEST investments, my kites, are being devalued so severely without any mention of compensation.

+1 Gal , I ain't buying gold until we are compensated ... Huge compensation.

GIVE THEM THE GOLD BACK FOR EACH KITE THEY HAVE!!!

Admit the mistake fully and make restitution like would be the case in REAL life, play this one fair please???

Having nothing at stake here, but I'm growing sick and tired of this fiasco or whatever you wish to call it.

Further research seems to indicate maybe 4 to 500,000 gold per kite is a reasonable compensation to these players

I know several of these players quite well and they are some of the best players in the game currently!!!

I love this game, just wanna play it for the fun of the game and eliminate some of this kinda clouding of it

I fully understand refunding REAL money has another whole set of problems associated and near impossible

But refunding them in a fair gold compensation to their farm accts is a case of math and entry per farm acct

It costs you nothing but a few hours of labor to your staff to make this happen..........GET IT DONE PLEASE!!!

Soon it won't only the ones affected walking out the door, but some of the rest of us sick of this fiasco as well

This partial halfway methods you're proposing are ridiculous, pay them, eliminate the kites and move on.

I absolutely love buying gold for my game.

I'd love to buy more - but until this is resolved, in MY favor. I won't.

GGS, you can check my spending patterns - If you return a descent amount of the gold I spent for my kites - you're going to see I'll spend it!

I'll need to buy more!

Making me feel valued by returning what gold I spent, will make me want to continue to support the game fully.

But leaving me as I feel right now, scammed in a bait & switch, I'll never buy again.

I'm not suggesting for a minute that little old me would make a scrap of difference in the overall success of the game.

I'm not buying THAT much gold! lol

I'm thinking though that my feelings may be the same as a multitude of the others who are in this same situation.

Losing just ME as a gold buyer is no big deal...but how many more are there that feel as I do?

Not everyone is vocal in the forum - many are just sitting back and watching, and will make their decision by quietly closing their wallets.

@TheJ.mulcahy (GB1) Good post - its a tough one, because I can see why the original kites couldn`t be left as they are, as it would be hugely unfair to limit everyone to a max boost of 100% and leave a few with much higher boosts, whether it is 200% or 1500%, but I also agree that when we buy something we should expect that its not going to change. Out of interest, the 12,000 coins that you feel are wasted, would you have paid that much for kite worth 50% to have for just over a year & 1% after that? As there must be some value to that advantage for a year/15 months.

The Fuku tokens are in the update that keeps being postponed, so you should get them this week.

I can see why the kites would cause a problem, however that doesn't change the fact that people spent a lot of money or time and resources to obtain them, they were offered and taken, that is that, no point arguing who was wrong or right ... the answer is to compensate and refund or let those that have them keep them. To ignore that will result in loss of customers and trust and then players, what exactly would you purchase with a self distruct date on.
The internet is a funny thing, soon word gets around.

No of course I would not of bought a kite for a year, there are other things that would of been much more strategic in the long run, permanent stables with higher yields would of been the way to go, I could of got two of those for my wasted coins. If I had of shelled out thousands I could of bought a car instead, that is not to make light of the situation, just to show really how serious it is.

The drop in the first 50 percent kite, that I said I would of still obtained. I feel is more than enough on my part to make up for a temporary advantage now, a 25 percent kite and 1 percent kite was not the deal.

All this talk bout Kites, I did not even know of there Existence until now, they claim they are for Everyone, but does that mean they are for those of us who are NOT in a Co-Op as well. or are they just for Co-op people? cause I have not seen any Kites for My game ever.

Kites can be purchased by anyone who has access to the WWC trader (this is after the update that adds them back in of course). You don't have to be in a co-op to get them, you just need WWC coins as they are not sold for any other currency.

If we look at the ratio of things that have not changed stats vs the things that have we would see the tendency is to not change things and only change them under necessary and extreme circumstances. I can again only apologise that we added the kite to the game with no limits or caps. It was a bad choice to make.

The change was totally unnecessary, all you had to do was to add a limit to the number of kites, and refund those who had more than the newly instated limit, give back 13000 coins / kite to those who were above the limit

The most sad thing of this whole story is the huge GGS lie about the reason of the change.

Unbalaced game? Complaining players? Ha, ha, ha.... Every regular player knows, that gold buyers have huge advantage and I do not know anyone who is not accepting this simple rule. And either I do not know anyone who coplained against bought kites.....

The only reason for "killing kites" is that GGS realized much lower income from gold buyers who bought the kites after they do so. Of course instead of buying gold each CoopChamp they invested onoce and then.... nothing... And now we face the biggies theft since the begining of the game.

My recomendation? Aside of compensating the theft money? Please add in the survey in the question "Would you recomend this game...." the asnwer: Never, ever. Even to my bigger enemy - NEVER.

It's really quite simple. Even though it will cost them, GGS needs to put on their big boy pants, and do the ethical thing. And that means compensating every affected player full value in gold for what they've taken away. And by full value, I mean what the kites were sold for in gold. Full value for each kite taken away. Half value for each kite reduced to 25%. And 98% for each kite reduced to 1%. None of this "they had use of the kites for x number of months" rhetoric. People didn't buy the kites with expiration dates on them. None of this "kites were bought with tokens" nonsense. The kites had a specific value in gold as set forth by GGS.

It will cost the company a little bit in future gold sales, but that will be short term. Better that than the long-term effects of ill will and resentment that players who choose to remain will harbor.

And why do those who didn't buy kites have a vested interest in how you handle this?

1-If it can happen to kites, it can happen to anything we buy, or have bought, later down the road.
2-People will think twice before buying another single thing. If I spend gold or tokens or anything else on something, will GGS come back later and take it away?
3-Some long-time valued members of our various coops might leave the game if the company seems to display lack of ethics and blatant disregard for their customers.
4-Morale.

Don't compound one huge mistake by making another one that's even larger. Customers always should be put first. Always. As any successful business owner knows, once you've lost the trust of your customers, you might as well hang it up.

The only solution for this problem is to refund gold instead of kite.

The compensated gold must be much more than the value of the kite.

Taking this step might give us assurance that when in the near future GGS messes up again, they will at least compensate us.

no complications or ticks like GGS is always good to do. saying they want to be fair, but the fact is they are ruining the game for their pockets.
you cant take back what a player has paid for anytime you want!!!!. i have the kite, i paid for a 50% booster and i want it as it is. you cant just decide after months to decrease it without any refund.

Exactly !! That is what any logic person would do, but given that this company is not planning to fix something wrong but is planning to re-sell what players already bought, they will never do it. "Balancing the game" is the expression they use for their scams

Hi all. I protest. We all worked hard for the kite. Changing the rules during the game is a bad thing to do. Is it the kite unfair? Well well.... In my opinion there are many other unfair things in the game. What about removing all? Even the gold.

I think you have confused them with Experience Points?

The Acrobatic Kite increases the Reputation Points gained in Missions
