    Yes, the game is free to play - in the sense that anyone can create an account without having to pay a monthly fee. But as ijrosh pointed out, the game is boring (not to mention VERY slow-going and frustrating) without gold, at least for a greater number of the population than not.

    I started playing as a way to deal with the loss of my husband and son within a year of each other, and it was fun until I realized that the majority of the fun (from my own perspective at the time) seemed to be in whatever could be purchased or gained with gold. I couldn't do well in anything, no matter how hard I tried, and for a major gamer, that didn't work very well at all. I quit the game after only two or three months (if that). Also as ijrosh mentioned, I bought a new game for the WII-U and went back and forth between that and the online game Minecraft, as well as all the other games we own that I had beaten/finished a hundred times before. THAT was fun.

    Yes, non gold users do play and enjoy the game. I am not saying they don't or can't. But for those of us who regularly spend real money to satisfy our own levels/versions of fun, free is anything but. We are customers purchasing products that we buy based on quantity AND quality, not substitutions for what GGS assumes we want. I am buying less and less gold now than EVER before, and I'm sorry to say that I am very close to quitting again. 

    All we are asking for is to get what we (I am assuming all or most gold users?) actually feel is worth the money we spend. :)

    This along with me not feeling well has made me stop playing. I am told by coop members on facebook that I am actually red. Wich has not happend very often at all in the last 4 years. I went and spent the money at the casino instead. And have watched a lot more tv.

    Yep, they are driving players away, and the incoming new goldies are going to find some other past time as well. Sad...

    THEY KEEP TAKING AND TAKING AND TAKING. NOW THEY REMOVED GOLD FROM THE GOLD FLOWERS AND NOT GIVING GML FOR HARVESTING ITEMS. THIS NEW OWNER HAS RUINED THIS GAME

    @SnapDragon any word on this as more people in my coop are reporting the same issue, no gold from goldflower seed harvests?

    It should have been fixed with this morning's hot fix. Can you try a reload and a cache clear etc and see if it's still happening. Can you also double check that it's not just cosmetic. I.e. check whether or not your gold coins increase in number even though you don't see the gold being dropped.

    Lets us know if it keeps happening and we can pass it on again.

    @SnapDragon will do... my coop member harvested before the hotfix... so I will check mine in a minute and let you know...


    ADDED: ok, planted and harvested 1 field and got gold drop so mine is fixed. Will let coop know! Thank you!!!

    Like Darkunderworld stated, I saw this message as well and in my personal email but yet have seen any added new "deals" to the benefit bundles...
